The Second Stage, Increasing Difficulty

Lin Moyu was startled but quickly ordered his skeleton warriors to form a shield-shaped defense, like an unyielding wall of iron, surrounding him. The incoming fireballs crashed into the shield, scattering sparks across the sky, creating a dazzling yet deadly display.

Lin Moyu knew his weakness well—his body was fragile. A direct hit could spell disaster. The skeleton warriors, though, were robust. Their immense stamina and defense meant they could absorb damage that would otherwise devastate him.

As the Felin Orc mages continued to launch fireball after fireball, the warriors charged in. Ferlin Orc warriors, brandishing their crude weapons, rushed forward, closing in on the skeletons. The mages behind them chanted relentlessly, summoning a constant rain of fiery death from above.

But Lin Moyu wasn't fazed. A thin smile crept onto his lips. Whether they appeared suddenly or gradually, it didn't matter. He wasn't one to wait for them to refresh; he'd meet them head-on.

To ensure his safety, Lin Moyu ordered ten skeletons to form a defensive line against the barrage of fire from the orc mages, while another ten raced towards the advancing orc warriors. "Skill!" Lin Moyu mentally commanded, and the skeletons' hands flared with a glowing red light. Furious Blow.

With strength attributes nearing 5000, these skeletons became walking wrecking machines, their attacks doubling in power. Ferlin orc warriors, though ferocious, were cut down with ruthless efficiency. The first line of orcs fell like paper to blades.

Lin Moyu, standing amidst the battle, waved his palm, and a resounding roar filled the air—the Corpse Explosion spell was cast. The fallen orcs burst in a chain of fiery detonations, spreading chaos and destruction through their ranks. What moments before had been a wave of warriors now lay in smoking ruins, their bodies shattered into nothingness.

Within mere seconds, the battlefield was clear. Hundreds of Ferlin orcs that had charged towards him now lay dead. Yet, Lin Moyu's work wasn't done. The surviving skeletons, fueled by their immense agility, turned towards the orc mages. In the blink of an eye, they covered the distance, their speed leaving behind a blur.

The mages, caught off guard, tried to defend themselves, but they were no match for the relentless skeletal assault. One by one, the mages fell, their fragile forms crumbling under the skeleton warriors' blades. With the mages gone, the fiery rain ceased, and the battlefield grew still.

Lin Moyu's surroundings were quiet, but the control room of the trial tower was anything but. The examiners stared, wide-eyed, at the rapid climb of Lin Moyu's points. His score had leapt to 14,605—an increase of 6,000 in less than ten seconds.

"Impossible!" one examiner gasped. "He must have some kind of group attack skill!"

"His profession… it's beyond anything we've seen. First, he excels in single combat, now he's obliterating groups with ease."

"And those summoned skeletons are just as terrifying. They're too strong, too fast!"

The examiners exchanged uneasy glances. Could this be a class that transcended even the legendary tier? Was Lin Moyu's class capable of something no one had seen before?

Even Ning Xuanfeng, calm as ever, felt his eyelid twitching. "What has this kid done? And what is the true nature of this necromancer class? Where does his potential end?"

Back on the battlefield, Lin Moyu's mind remained clear. The eerie silence following the battle was short-lived. An ominous roar echoed through the air. The ground beneath him shook as though an earthquake had struck. The corpses of the slain orcs vanished as if swallowed by the earth itself.

The air became heavy, oppressive, tinged with a bloody, putrid stench. It made most people gag, but Lin Moyu stood unaffected. He almost welcomed it, as though the death-tainted atmosphere resonated with something deep within him. The breath of death surrounded him, yet he felt no discomfort—only familiarity.

His skeleton warriors formed a defensive circle around him, their movements as sharp and precise as ever. The earth's tremors faded, leaving behind an ominous silence. Then, in the distance, the sound of footsteps emerged.

"They're coming," Lin Moyu thought. He braced himself.

Out of the darkness, a new wave of enemies appeared—monsters in groups of five, marching in perfect synchronization. Three were Ferlin Orc Fighters, hulking brutes with level-16 strength, while the other two were Ferlin Orc Archers, also at level 16. The battlefield was now crawling with at least forty such groups, all advancing from every direction.

Lin Moyu remained unfazed. To him, these monsters were nothing more than walking points, regardless of their level or strength. His only thought was that this stage would be brutal for anyone else.

"For most other professions, the second stage will be nearly impossible," he mused. "Even if they somehow survive, it'll take them a long time."

The difficulty had spiked. A mere level increase from 15 to 16, doubling the enemy numbers, and adding archers had ramped up the challenge dramatically. For mages, this would be a nightmare. Archers were their natural enemies, and the combination of fighters and shooters would prove devastating for most.

But for Lin Moyu, it was just another day on the battlefield. As the monsters closed in, his skeleton warriors readied themselves once more. The real fight was just beginning.
