Shu Han took money to explain everything carefully.
Lin Moyu felt he had spent a small amount to achieve something significant.
"I think spending 100 points is worth it," he thought.
Through Shu Han's detailed explanation, Lin Moyu learned the specific rules of the dungeon hall.
In addition to meeting the dungeon's requirements, entering it required an extra payment of points. At Xiajing Academy, everything is done with points. The same applies to dungeons.
The higher the dungeon level, the more points are required. Players can also spend points to eliminate the cooldown time between dungeon runs. Even without a cooldown amulet, as long as you have enough points, you can repeatedly enter the dungeon.
Lin Moyu felt a pleasant surprise; this meant he could speed up his upgrade significantly.
Shu Han guided Lin Moyu to the center of the dungeon hall, where several crystal balls were arranged.
"This is the task center and team recruitment center of the dungeon hall," she explained. "The task center has many missions, mainly involving the collection of materials, equipment, and special items from various dungeons. You can complete these missions to earn points or publish your own tasks to gather items and props."
"The team recruitment center is for forming teams. You can either post a recruitment request or join an existing team. Both functions are incredibly useful, but they require points. Whether it's for posting tasks or recruitment, points are essential. Even joining a team requires points, while simply posting for recruitment does not."
In Xiajing Academy, points are the currency of value; you can't get by without them.
After more than half an hour, Shu Han had shared everything about the dungeon hall with Lin Moyu.
"Student, do you have any other questions?"
Just then, Lin Moyu's communicator vibrated, notifying him he had received 50 contribution points for the Mermaid Island trial.
"It's not much," he thought, "and I'm still far from the 1,000 points needed to join Chuangshen Academy."
Curious, Lin Moyu asked, "How do I earn contribution points?"
Shu Han responded, "Are you asking about the institution's contribution points?"
He nodded.
"There aren't many ways to earn them. Participating in trials organized by the school is one option. You can also gain contribution points by completing assigned tasks from the school. Some missions in the task center are issued by the school, and completing them can earn you contribution points."
"However, these tasks are very competitive. They're usually completed shortly after being released because everyone wants contribution points. You need them if you want to join the academy."
Lin Moyu checked the mission center and found several tasks assigned by the institution. However, the contribution points offered were minimal—generally 2, 3, or, at most, 10 points per task.
"It's hard to earn contribution points," Lin Moyu mused, realizing that even 50 points felt substantial.
He guessed that Jiang Taotao and the others wouldn't earn more contribution points than he had.
Just then, his communicator rang again.
On the other end, an excited voice exclaimed, "Silence! How many contribution points did you get? I got 20 points this time! What a haul!"
"Sister Taozi scored 30 points and is overjoyed!"
Lin Moyu replied, "I got 50 points."
"Wow! Sister Taozi was right; you must have the most points!"
"Hey, getting 50 points at once means you've completed several missions. In future trials, I must team up with you! You're a lucky charm!"
Duan Gao continued excitedly before disconnecting.
Shu Han stood in shock.
Even a trial task netting 50 contribution points was astounding.
The surrounding students were equally dumbfounded.
What kind of trial mission could yield 50 points?
They had participated in trial missions before, usually receiving only 5 or 10 points. It was only exceptional performances that earned 20 points.
"To get 50 points in one go? That's unbelievable!" one student muttered.
"I haven't heard of any high-level trial missions lately. Judging by his appearance, he doesn't seem to be very high-ranked," another added.
"Yeah, he's just bragging."
Lin Moyu ignored their whispers, turning to Shu Han. "Thank you."
He felt the 100 points had been well spent.
Shu Han quickly shook her head. "You're welcome, but you paid for it. Are you going to join a team to tackle a dungeon now?"
Lin Moyu made his way to a dungeon.
Variation Forest, Level 17 Dungeon.
The entry requirement was for professionals between levels 15 and 19.
In the dungeon hall, only two low-level dungeons existed below level 20, and the Variation Forest was one of them.
It costs 10 points to enter, with an additional 40 points to eliminate the cooldown time.
The previous record for this dungeon, set three years ago, was 58 minutes, achieved by a team of five—a knight, a prophet, and three mages—each at level 19 and fully equipped with bronze gear.
Their powerful configuration had allowed them to advance quickly, and this record had stood unbroken for three years.
The second-best score was 1 hour and 17 minutes—nearly 20 minutes slower.
Lin Moyu paid 10 points and selected the nightmare difficulty before being transported into the dungeon.
As he entered the low-level dungeon, the people in the hall erupted in laughter.
"I'll be damned! I thought he was a boss from somewhere!"
"Turns out he's just a kid under level 20!"
"That's right—what a big talker!"
"Seriously, scoring 50 contribution points? Sounds too good to be true!"
"Still, he's brave to tackle the dungeon alone."
"Ha! Maybe he'll come out dazed in a bit!"
The crowd didn't believe Lin Moyu's claim of earning 50 contribution points in a single trial mission.
But Shu Han felt differently; she sensed a strange confidence about Lin Moyu, almost as if he was in control of the situation.
"Maybe what he said is true," she thought, surprised by her own consideration.
Fifty contribution points—what kind of performance would be needed to achieve that?
Lin Moyu found himself in an ancient forest.
The wind rustled the leaves, and beneath him lay a thick carpet of dead leaves, untouched for ages.
Occasionally, the roars of wild beasts echoed from the depths of the forest, sending chills down his spine.
Standing at the edge, he could see wild animals roaming.
Inside the Variation Forest, these beasts had been affected by mysterious forces and mutated into terrifying creatures.
There were bears, tigers, wolves, and all sorts of other beasts—some hidden in the underbrush, like snakes and mutated insects.
One misstep in the forest could lead to a sudden ambush.
"Break records, earn rewards," Lin Moyu reminded himself.
After a moment of thought, he summoned a legion of skeleton warriors.
A total of 108 skeleton warriors emerged, each one healed and ready for battle.
"Let's go!" he commanded.
The skeleton warriors rushed into the mutant forest, their unique sounds echoing as they advanced.

Using his detection technique, Lin Moyu continuously checked the attributes of the two beasts.
Compared to his skeleton warriors, who had an impressive total of 5,400 in four-dimensional attributes, the beasts were no match.
The skeleton warriors charged into the forest like tigers among sheep, moving swiftly and decisively.
Each monster fell before them in just three strikes.

As the notifications refreshed on the screen, Lin Moyu felt the experience points steadily rising.
"Entering the dungeon gave me 17 points (32.57%)."
He wondered how many more experience points he would gain by the time he completed the dungeon.
