clarification

the celebration lasted till 11:00 pm after Navina and Kuldeep exchanged rings they were treated as a set

when one of them was called the other followed and thus they are already a married couple in other's eyes

around 10:30 pm guests started to leave, by the time they reached home it 's past 12:00 so our new couple felt it was in appropriate to discuss anything at that time, thus without any arguments they went to bed as they were tired from all the work

after the celebration the happiest people are Navina and Kuldeep's parents and Marina felt as if she is on the cloud nine

apart from the new couple none slept, when sun rose all had dark circles formed due to lack of sleep

Navina couldn't stop herself being patient from asking her parents

"Mom, dad do you feel me as burden? "

Vivek ".... Vina what do you mean by burden?"

Vanitha "Vina do you know what you actually spelled? "

" Mom ...if it's not, then could you please bother to tell what exactly happened yesterday in the celebration, was it a celebration or the pre-planned engagement"

Vanitha and Vivek showed a slight change in expression as if they have been caught from committing a crime

Vanitha rebutted " Baby how can you say something like that, don't you know we never did a thing that might hurt you and didn't I always given in to you when you refused to get into marriage talks, have I ever forced you to go on a blind date, then how could you accuse us for the crime that we didn't commit... "

" Mom, don't make me spell things that give you out"

"what things baby...just forget it you must be hungry, let me serve you, I made your favorite dishes for breakfast, it will not taste nice after it cools down and reheated food is not good compared to fresh one... blah blah blah"

Vina placed her chin on her right hand observing how she is trying to change the topic

"Mom don't try to change the topic, I know very well how you made me change some decoration and food arrangements, the new dress that you gifted wasn't cheap either when I already have few in my wardrobe, were you really preparing for us to let people know us getting into marriage talks or were you already preparing for our marriage resulting to our engagement"

Vanitha still didn't want to admit "what's there to explain didn't you already know it was for celebration, we only wanted to announce your possible marriage, but we felt it was not a bad idea to hold your engagement so we went ahead of our schedule"

"Mom i know you won't admit but don't try to fool me, if you plan to have such kind of surprises atleast let me know before you give me a fright"

after saying her piece Vina left to her room to be alone for a while

when Kuldeep woke up he found coffee☕ placed on the side table

he knew very well why coffee has been served before is awake, along with that Deep found his casual clothes aside

after freshing up when he entered hall there is none but breakfast was freshly placed on the dining table, the quantity was enough for at least 4 members

just looking at that Deep can tell that his family members are being cautious and trying to avoid him, finally sighed and called

"Mom...., dad...., Marina.., I know you guys are watching me, I also know you didn't have breakfast, don't try to hide from me,what ever it is we will have a talk after breakfast"

none came out so he continued "if you guys won't come out then I will not eat anything until you show up, so you better think"

First Marina popped out of God knows from where "brother you are really kind but don't get angry at Mom and Dad, I can't go on like this, I'm really famished"

"Marina can't you control yourself without eating for a while" Parvathi got angry at her daughter

"you know na.. Marina can't control her hunger" Prasanth followed his wife

"how can she be like this, there will be times when we won't have time to have a sip of water when she faces such instances how can she handle"

"Mom why are you after me, I know you are afraid of Deep so you are diverting your attention on me, I don't want to argue on this Deep let's have our breakfast, Mom, dad come on join us" Marina called them while pulling Deep when she herself moved her chair to sit

Prasanth and Parvathi looked at each other sighed at their daughter's behaviour and joined them

after eating Prasanth and Parvathi sat in front of Deep as if they are criminals waiting for judgement and Marina acting as bystander sat in the middle

"Mom, Dad can I know what's with the engagement, and why was I.....as a groom haven't been informed" Deep questioned his parents

seeing that his parents are being mute

"Mom , dad is it problematic to have a son like me?? "

Parvathi reacted immediately "Deep how can degrade yourself, don't you know your place in our heart? "

"Deep you know well how proud I am to have a son like you, then why do you feel like that" Prasanth followed

"Dad then how should I take your behaviour towards me"

Prasanth and Parvati looked at each other as if asking other to say something finally Prasanth sighed and said "Deep you know well apart from yesterday has there been a time where you felt that way? "

Deep was silent then Prasanth continued

" Deep all these years has there been a girl you fancy of or ler me put it this way,.....apart from your sister and Vina has there been any girl around you? "

Deep wanted to say something but this time Parvati cut him off " Deep don't try to convince us, we know that till now there wasn't any girl who could be our daughter-in-law so we took this matter into our hands and got you engaged to Vina,"

"But mom you should know Vina and other girls are different"

"that's the reason why I want her to be your wife"

" even then don't you think letting me know beforehand was better"

"why? so that you can escape, NO WAY"

"Mom, are you really my mother, why don't you take any of my word seriously"

"Of course I AM, that's why I am doing all these things, apart from this has there been a time when I didn't take your choice and words seriously, since you don't know what you want, I will just arrange everything, this matter is final you don't need to say another word, just go to your room and think carefully"

without waiting a second Parvati took Prasanth and left to their room

both Deep and Marina were dumbfounded seeing their mother's way of dominating
