"So they were real, huh?" One of the wyvern riders in the squadron remarked while staring at the metallic warship far below them. It was somewhat surprising as most of them thought it was but a useless wild-goose chase.
Some even questioned if the metallic ships were even real. After all, most of the ships they had were wooden. Metal was hard to float, heavy to sail, and impractical for warships. Of course, this was from their own perspective.
But it wasn't like metallic ships were never created in the continent of Europa. It was that they simply couldn't replace the usability and versatility of wooden ships.
The development of metallic ships was halted because of the introduction of magic. Its defensive capabilities could easily be replicated by the spells of Magus, not sacrificing the ship's speed.
"Obviously… War Master Theodore wouldn't lie to us." Another wyvern rider commented while watching the sailing metallic warship.
