Chapter 71: Phantom Lord End

When Natsu arrived on the first floor, he noticed all the 'Fairy Tail' mages sporting a satisfied expression. All the 'Phantom Lord' wizards were either knocked unconscious or tied up. He also noticed Mira and Erza standing in the middle. Erza had a sad expression while Mira had a victorious grin adorning her face. Natsu silently approached them and overheard their conversation.

"No way! How can I lose to someone like you?" Erza muttered in disbelief. It looked like she lost a bet.

"Hehe, no matter how many times you deny it, it's true that you lost the bet. It must be my lucky day that the master's attack arrived when I was in the lead. I defeated ten wizards while you only defeated nine." Mira replied with a smirk, making Erza gloomy. She didn't want to admit defeat to this 'She-Devil'.

"This bet is invalid. It's not fair that I lost due to the master's attack. I want a re-match!" Erza shouted, shakily pointing her fingers at Mira.

"Don't be such a sore loser, Erza. Don't tell me you're going to take back your words? Didn't you use to preach about the warrior's honor or something? Don't tell me the mighty Titania was all bark and no bite?" Mira asked with a sly smirk, making Erza look as angry.

"I'm not a sore loser!! Ugh, fine then. I admit my defeat, do whatever you want with me." Erza said with a tired sigh. She didn't want to further argue with this white-haired devil. This succubus always defeats her in an argument.

"That's what I'm talking about. Yippee! Remember that you're my exclusive maid for tomorrow hehe…" Mira said with a merry chuckle, making Erza further depressed.

Natsu decided to stop eavesdropping on them and join in on their conversation. He didn't want to look like a creep after all.

"Hey, girls, what are you talking about?" Natsu said, appearing in front of them.

"Natsu!!" Mira and Erza exclaimed at the same time. Then, Mira immediately jumped into his embrace, burying her face deep into his chest.

"It's nothing. We had a bet to see who will defeat more Phantom Lord mages and I won the match. Erza was just being a sore loser trying to escape her punishment." Mira blamed Erza, making her absolutely livid.

"Don't spout such nonsense, you harlot! I never said that I wouldn't accept the punishment!" Erza said out loud, pointing her fingers Mira shakily. Mira turned and gave her a teasing expression while sticking her tongue out. Natsu looked at this all with a wry smile on his face.

"Don't tease Erza so much, Mira. Anyways, I'm glad to see that both of you are fine." Natsu said, patting her head, causing her to close her eyes with a smile. Erza looked at them in jealousy before quickly approaching Natsu, standing beside him with red cheeks. She just looked at him expectantly without saying anything.

Natsu had an amused smile looking at her antics. She was acting just like a tsundere. So he also started stroking her beautiful crimson hair making her smile in content.

Natsu noticed all the guild members moving out of the 'Phantom Lord' base. All the guys gave him a thumbs up while the girls gave him a sly smile while leaving the building. Every 'Fairy Tail' guild member knew about the trio's unusual relationship, but they supported it nonetheless.

"Let's get going girls. I'm sure the 'Rune Knights' will arrive here soon. I'm certain you don't want to spend the night in a prison cell, do you?" Natsu asked making Erza and Mira nod. Mira broke her hug, and all of them left the 'Phantom Lord' guild peacefully. They made different small talks on the way with Mira and Erza occasionally bickering.

Natsu smiled watching this. He felt like all of them were back in their childhood years.

'I never thought I'd be glad to see them bickering.' He thought internally, sporting a fond smile.

While they were leaving the guild, they failed to notice a purpled haired buxom woman looking at them with a playful smile. She took out a communication lacrima and activated it.

"How's the situation there, Ultear?" A male voice sounded out from the lacrima.

"'Fairy Tail' easily defeated 'Phantom Lord'. Makarov deployed one of the three grand fairy spell called 'Fairy Law' and quickly took down the guild master of 'Phantom Lord' along with most of the guild members. Should I go and arrest the 'Phantom Lord' wizards now, Jellal-sama?" Ultear asked with her usual diligent voice. She needed to act like a proper subordinate in front of Jellal as per Natsu's wishes after all.

"Is that all? What about Erza and Natsu?" The voice, which was named Jellal, asked curiously. He wanted to hear reports about his childhood crush as well as the son of Igneel.

"Erza is a strong wizard, almost on the level of a wizard saint, but still nowhere near our level. As for our little salamander, I admit that he's strong enough to contend against the current you." Ultear replied, giving her report.

"Oh? So you're saying that our 'Fire Dragon Slayer' has a chance of defeating me in a fight?" Jella playfully asked.

"Yes, but I said the current you. When you combine both of your bodies, then Natsu won't stand a chance. You're Zeref's chosen one, after all." Ultear replied, praising Jellal.

"Hehe, that's right. How can anyone stop me when the legendary dark wizard himself chooses me. I guess I was worrying for nothing. Just keep a watch on them. The tower is almost completed, we need Erza for the finale after all haha…" Jella said, laughing creepily. Ultear rolled her eyes hearing him.

'Laugh all you want now, Jellal. You have no idea who you're messing with. I actually feel pity for you, being Natsu's enemy and all.' Ultear thought internally.

"Anyway, you should go and arrest those 'Phantom Lord' wizards. You need to show the council that you're doing your job properly after all. Contact me if you have something to report. I'll talk to you later, Ultear." Jella said, cutting off contact.
