Chapter 66: Bet?

"Are you guys ready for it? Make sure to follow the plan accordingly. I don't want to hear about any failures, or I'll properly punish all of you. After today, Phantom Lord will forever be the true number one guild of Fiore ho ho ho…" Jose declared, looking at the others seriously. He didn't want anything to go wrong with the plan. He had spent such a long time on it after all.

"Yes, master Jose! We won't allow any fairy tail mages other than their master to reach the second floor." Totomaru and Sol answered enthusiastically. Juvia just nodded with her usual stoic expression. Then, they left Jose and Aria alone to deal with the intruders on the first floor.

"Are you prepared for your part as well Aria? You're the key person in the plan after all. Don't mess it up!" Jose asked while looking at Aria seriously. Aria played an important role in his plan, so he didn't want him to mess it up.

"Yes, master! I'm at my best state. It's too sad that I have to take down the fairy tail's guild master. It makes me so upset…" Aria replied while crying out loud. Jose rolled his eyes looking at him. It always weirded him out to look at Aria crying no matter how many times he saw it, but he still maintained his fake smile, looking at Aria warmly.

"Ho ho ho, I'm glad to hear that. Get into position Aria. I'm sure that Makarov will arrive here shortly." Jose said, a villainous smile adorning his face when noticed Makarov approaching his location. Aria nodded and used wind magic to hide his presence.

"Mira, I leave you in charge here. I'll head upstairs. Jose is probably waiting up on the second floor. I'm gonna go quickly tear him a new one." Makarov said looking at the stairs. He wanted to deal with Jose as soon as possible to minimize the casualty.

"But don't you need someone to go with you? I'm sure Erza and Natsu will be here at any moment now. Can't you at least wait until they're here?" Mira replied worriedly. She didn't want Makarov to head upstairs alone. It could be a trap after all.

"No! This is my battle. Tell Natsu and Erza to take care of everyone except Jose. He's mine for the taking." Makarov said before clenching his fists. He sported a determined expression on his face which made Mira unable to say anything else.

"Sure…" Mira replied with a sigh, making Makarov smile. He turned around and headed upstairs. Nobody stopped him on the way, the 'Fairy Tail' and 'Phantom Lord' mages were too busy battling each other.

After Makarov reached the second floor, a bright light appeared inside the guild and Natsu and Erza came out of it making all the surrounding mages alert.

"Mira!!" Natsu shouted alerting Mira. Mira turned around and quickly noticed Natsu's arrival. She jumped into his embrace blasting the 'Phantom Lord' mages that were in the way away with her magic.

"Natsu!!!" Mira said burying her face into his chest. Natsu smiled wryly after seeing her antics.

"You're late. Everybody's already started fighting." Mira said looking at him while sulking. Natsu quickly started patting her head after hearing her complaint, knowing it made her comfortable.

"I'm sorry. I woke up later, hehe…" Natsu replied with a sheepish grin. Erza had an annoyed expression looking at them. She felt extremely jealous while watching their public display of affection.

"Geez… can you stop flirting here? By the way, where's master, Mira?" Erza said trying to stop them. Natsu also perked his ears after hearing her question.

"Master just went upstairs before your arrival. He wanted to fight with Phantom Lord's guild master all by himself." Mira asked making Natsu wide-eyed.

"Damn it, I need to go there now, before it's too late. Mira, Erza! Can you take care of these goons?" Natsu said impatiently breaking the hug. He realized that Makarov was in danger. He didn't want to see his gramps getting hurt by a sneak attack.

"Sure! But why do you need to go upstairs? Master told me to prevent anyone from going upstairs." Mira asked worriedly. Erza also looked at Natsu seriously.

"I don't have time to explain. Just trust me okay, Mira! If I don't reach there in time then something terrible will happen to gramps." Natsu said making them both shocked, but they quickly recomposed themselves.

"Are you sure? I trust you, Natsu. Go save our guild master." Mira said with a sweet smile.

"Yeah, you can leave these idiots to me. I'll make sure to give Phantom Lord retribution for their actions." Erza said while drawing out her swords with a determined visage.

Natsu felt happy hearing this. So he swiftly captured their lips, causing Erza to feel shocked and embarrassed.

"Thanks, girls! I'm glad to have such understanding lovers. I'll be back after dealing with the threat." Natsu said before leaving them. He quickly went upstairs while blasting away any 'Phantom Lord' idiots that got in his way.

"T-That Natsu… Kissing me in public… How indecent…" Erza mumbled with a red face. Still, she had a small smile looking at his departing figure.

"But I'm sure you enjoyed it. Isn't that right, Miss Pervert?" Mira said, looking at Erza mischievously. She would never miss a chance to tease Erza.

"D-Don't be ridiculous. I'm not a pervert." Erza said, stuttering. Her cheeks were red due to embarrassment.

"Says the girl that reads Ero-novels every night." Mira replied sarcastically with a sly smirk, making Erza's blush deepen further. She didn't want to hear that from Mira.

"Mira!!! I told you to never mention it again. I wasn't reading them… I was just researching them… Yeah, that's right, I was just researching them to prevent anyone from the guild to something indecent." Erza said, trying to make up an excuse.

"Hehe, like I'd believe such a ridiculous excuse. How about this, let's have a match about who's gonna beat the most Phantom Lord mages? If you win, then I won't ever mention your perverted habit." Mira said with a challenging grin, making Erza narrow her eyes.

"What if I lose?" Erza said with a cocked head.

"Then, you have to be my exclusive maid for a day. Sounds interesting right? Do you agree with the bet or not?" Mira said with a playful grin, causing Erza to be annoyed just looking at it.

"Ugh, I don't have any other choice than to agree, but don't celebrate so fast. I won't lose to you." Erza said with a sigh. Then, she quickly put up a determined expression while glaring at Mira. She wouldn't allow this 'She-Devil' to get her way so easily.

"We'll see about that." Mira said with a sly smile. Then, both of them started their matches. All the 'Phantom Lord' mages were terrified after seeing them.
