Karma Connection

Lin Feng was trying something new out as he fought the Nine-tails.

Whenever the nine-tails attacked, instead of dodging, he drew upon the power of his bond.

Karma connection.

The world turned monochrome in his eyes and the only thing that still had colour was colourful threads that seemed to stretch away from him into the void.

They were Karma threads.

They were of all colours, white was the most numerous, seeming to stretch from his back into the void in a huge bundle while there were several black threads, some more prominent than the rest.

There was only one red thread and it superimposed with the bond.

Orange and green threads seemed to end abruptly, fluttering about everywhere without anything to tether them at the other end.

In short, Lin Feng could see the various thread of Karma but with his limited comprehension of the principle, that was all he could do.

He couldn't follow up the threads to the end.

He didn't even know what most of the colours meant.

The white was easy to guess as through the void, he could indistinctly feel them going towards Suna.

He could only feel it due to there being so many of them.

The white was his connection with either the common people or more likely those who were his subordinates as the threads didn't go to Konoha.

The black was for enemies. Or those that bore him hostility.

It wasn't that he could follow the black threads… the thick black thread connecting him to the nine-tails was quite conspicuous.

The red was for lovers or life-partners.

Orange and green? He had no idea.

He would have to explore the possibilities if he wanted to reach the Grasping Principles realm.

Only when one properly understood their principle could one advance to that level.

He might not be able to use the principle on his own but he had an advantage… he had absorbed several will fragments.

This meant that he had a partial control over several principles like sand or lava.

While he was in the state of Karma Connection, basically connected to the principle of Karma, he could use the will fragments to amplify his control over the principle even if he didn't fully understand it and his realm was low.

Karma severance.

With a wave of his hand, he sliced the black thread between him and the Nine-tails.

The nine-tails roared and tried to slap the annoying man who had tried to turn it into a pill away with a tail.

But the tail seemed to meet something slippery midway and just narrowly missed him.

Angry, it tried again with two of its tails. But the same thing happened, the two tails missing him by a hair's breath the wind from their passing ruffling his clothes.

Lin Feng smiled at his success.

But he couldn't smile long as suddenly, the nine-tails eyes glowed with a spiritual light aand it locked onto him.

He saw the black thread reform, thicker than before and when he tried to cut it, a protective barrier of spiritual light coated it, causing his hand to bounce away.

He had forgotten that the nine-tails was also a will fragment and it had a dominion over the spiritual plane.

Locking someone was easy for it and the locking had a principle level effect.

Thus, he had to hurriedly teleport away to avoid another tail of the beast.

Opening a bit of the jurisdiction of his own energy to Minato's soul, he allowed him to control one hand and draw up a hiraishin seal.

Konoha had already been covered with the space network and thus here teleportation with Void force was difficult… but, due to Minato's tinkering, he had set up a large teleportation network within the existing structure.

Basically, it was Minato's home game.

Even then, teleporting the Kyuubi would take a lot of effort.

Allowing Kushina's soul access to some of his energy, he had her create chans of world vitality that tied the Kyuubi down.

He set about gathering his void force in order to help Minato transport the Kyuubi.

The Konoha ninja were finally starting to notice him and would soon launch an attack. But, his red hair and chakra (it was world vitality but they couldn't tell the difference) chains made him seem like an Uzumaki and that confused them.

This gave him enough time to finish prparations and with a puff of smoke, he and the Kuubi were gone.

They reappeared in the middle of the desert and Lin Feng immediately took control of the sand in order to create his amplification formation.

With a combination of chakra chains and his own sand, he managed to tie down the Kyuubi long enough to connect with its mind and drawing its soul into his mindscape.

With the help of Kushina and Minato, they fought a soul-stirring battle in the mindscape.

In there, the Kyuubi's spiritual power was weakened and Lin Feng had better access to Karma thus he was able to use the Karma Severance technique again to make the Kyuubi's attacks useless while he could still injure it.

Its tailed beast bombs were just absorbed by Samehada increasing his own energy.

After a long fight lasting seven-days and seven nights, he finally managed to subdue the Kyuubi.

Instead of merging with it, he remembered Kaguya's advice and merged the Kyuubi to the bond between him and Pakura.

The bond became even stronger and his connection to the principle of Karma increased drastically.

It was to the level that he could do something like create a very weak version of the Karmic bond.

Thus, to reward Minato and Kushina for their help, he experimented *cough* gifted them with a karmic bond, wiped their last few days of memory with their coordination and had them reincarnate into the land of Snow.

There they were born in neighbouring houses and grew up as childhood friends.

The type that thinks vows of marriage made at ten years of age are binding and have expectations growing up.

Stupid Japanese tropes…

Anyway, that's another story.

Thanks for the power stones... here's your bonus chapter.
