Looking around, although Shitsuya guessed that it was all an illusion he was still surprised that he couldn't see through it considering his Mangekyo Sharingan, it was almost as if the illusion targeted something other than his spiritual energy.
The woman's body suddenly disappeared as well and Shitsuya was left alone as he was surrounded by thick fog once more.
Noticing another light in the distance he walked towards it, on his way there he heard a soft chuckle from behind him, turning back he saw no one.
Another chuckle rang from behind him and he noticed the fleeing figure of another woman in traditional white and blue attire.
Chasing after the floating woman he arrived in a blue crystalline cave which he guess was also an illusion.
The girl hid behind pillars as she led him forwards towards a crystal room.
The door closed behind, and he noticed several unnaturally shaped holes carved into it.
Noticing some colourful stones on the floor, he grabbed a crescent shaped one and put it inside a crystal shaped hole on the wall completely ignoring the woman he had been chasing up until now.
"Looks like you've already grasped the second test. If you want to leave here you have to fill all the holes in the wall with their corresponding stones." The woman spoke from behind him but Shitsuya didn't pay her any attention as he quickly filled the holes with their corresponding stones.
"Take your time, I like my chakra more aged and full of hopelessness so I can drink it. Please despair at your own leisure." The woman spoke again.
Shitsuya filled almost all the holes in just a few seconds. The final hole didn't have a corresponding piece so Shitsuya grabbed a large stone.
"I don't think that one will fit, but please don't give up just yet, give it at least a few days that way I can enjoy drinking your chakra." The woman spoke again.
Grabbing the large rock Shitsuya broke off a piece before sliding the left over piece inside the hole and it fit snuggly.
The door disappeared and so did the surrounding crystalline room as Shitsuya turned to look back at the woman.
Honestly, he tried breaking out of the illusion multiple times but couldn't do it even though he could feel that it wasn't real.
"You're pretty good, I hope you don't die too quickly." The woman spoke before disappearing one final time.
A suddenly appearing light in the distance stole his attention and Shitsuya was almost successfully surprise attacked as he turned around and punched a woman that lunged at him with her pointed fangs straight in the mouth, breaking her teeth as she jumped back and covered her bleeding mouth.
Her figure suddenly transformed as she turned to that of a familiar black haired woman wearing a casual shits and pants.
Before she could speak however, Shitsuya suddenly appeared Infront of her and punched towards her with full force.
Seeing Shitsuya's fist growing larger in her vision her heart thumped in fear, barely disappearing in time to avoid.
Shitsuya looked around as his surroundings changed once more and the fog disappeared as he stood Infront of a large shrine.
The third woman suddenly appeared Infront of him and spoke, "The Snake sage is ready to see you."
"How can I trust your words?" Shitsuya asked.
"It's embarrassing to say but we lost. If we tried to do anything we'd be going against the snake sage himself." She said as she floated off the ground.
"Again, why should I trust your words?" Shitsuya asked.
"Hmm, you can't, but I guess you'll just have to take my word for it or leave." She said and turned around as she walked inside the Shrine.
Entering the dimly lit Shrine, The woman motioned for him to walk up a long and wide red stair case as she remained downstairs.
Glancing back at her, Shitsuya walked up the stairs and arrived Infront of the Snake sage.
The white snake sage looked different from what Shitsuya expected, instead of a large, sinister white snake, Shitsuya saw a short extremely old looking woman lounging on a small sofa.
Behind her stood a large snake statue with a scroll that read "Ryuchi cave" written on it.
"Are you the snake sage?" Shitsuya asked.
"Indeed I am." The old woman replied as opened her mouth devoid of even a single tooth.
"I-" before Shitsuya could speak the old woman cut him off.
"All those who come here are only after one thing, led by their greed they come here seeking to learn how to use sage energy and acquire even greater power. You're no different I should think." The Snake sage spoke.
"You can call it greed or whatever you want as long as you teach me sage mode." Shitsuya spoke.
"Very well, as you have passed the trials I shall guide you." The snake sage spoke.
Before Shitsuya could even react the snake sage's head turned into a white snake as it extended and bit his neck.
Feeling something hot as lava flow through his veins Shitsuya screamed as he was overwhelmed.
His fangs elongated becoming more pronounced as his skin turned to white scales.
"If you absorb too much nature energy you'll turn to stone." The snake sage commented leisurely to the side.
Shitsuya tried to stop the nature chakra that was flooding into his body but his efforts bore no fruit as he turned more and more serpentine in nature before turning to stone.
"What a hideous statue." the snake sage spoke as she looked at Shitsuya frozen figure.
