Today, the Uchiha clan meeting was held outside Naka Shrine. This time, instead of gathering in a small room inside the shrine, the meeting had to be held outdoors to accommodate the vast number of clan members in attendance. Not only were the Sharingan users present, but every Uchiha ninja, including the rookie Genin, had come to witness this crucial moment.
The last time the Uchiha clan had assembled in such numbers was when Uchiha Madara chose to reconcile with the Senju clan to establish Konoha Village. The significance of today's gathering weighed heavily on everyone present—this clan meeting could very well shape the future of the Uchiha clan for decades to come.
"Look, Uchiha Hirito has arrived!"
A voice from the crowd called out, and immediately, everyone turned in silence, making way as Hirito approached. He walked with a confident stride, a smile on his face as he made his way to the center of attention. Standing at the highest point, Uchiha Tomita watched Hirito with an unreadable expression.
"Lord Patriarch," Hirito began, his voice steady and unwavering, "I think you already know why I've called this clan meeting today. You, along with Tobirama Senju, are relics of an era that no longer serves us. This clan deserves young blood, leaders who understand the times. You should step down."
He delivered his intent directly, not bothering with formalities or pleasantries. Confident and unapologetic, Hirito's bold declaration shocked many. The young genius they once knew now stood openly challenging their respected clan leader.
Tomita remained unphased, offering a measured nod. "You have courage, Hirito," he acknowledged, his voice laced with calm authority. "It's good that Uchiha has young talent like you." He paused, and his tone turned sharp as steel. "But don't you think your arrogance has crossed a line? Do you truly believe that just because Tobirama Senju is gone, you can do whatever you want in Uchiha and Konoha?"
As Tomita's Sharingan spun with the three magatama, his gaze hardened on Hirito. An intense chakra surged from him, cracking the wooden platform beneath his feet. However, Hirito's expression remained unmoved.
"Today, you aim to claim the title of clan leader. Do you honestly think you're worthy?" Tomita's voice rang out, his supporters quickly picking up the rallying cry.
"Only Tomita can lead the Uchiha!"
"Know your place, Hirito!"
"You don't deserve it!"
One after another, voices of opposition echoed, filling the air with their fervor and loyalty to Tomita. The thunderous disapproval reverberated throughout Nanhe Shrine as Hirito watched, unfazed.
Tomita looked satisfied, standing tall amidst the overwhelming support. He was no figurehead—he had led Uchiha through turbulent times after Madara's departure and had brought prosperity to the clan. He wasn't about to let a young upstart like Hirito threaten his position so easily.
Hirito turned to the crowd, his gaze resting on a group of three-magatama Sharingan users glaring at him fiercely, ready to pounce if provoked. Smirking, he whispered to himself, "So, everyone's against me, huh? Fine. Time to change the rules of this game."
In an instant, Hirito's hand glowed as he conjured a Rasenshuriken infused with molten chakra, its sizzling heat radiating outward. Without hesitation, he hurled it toward the group of Uchiha in opposition.
"He's insane! Run!"
"Where's the barrier team? We need to stop it!"
Panicked voices rang out as some of the clan's elites scrambled to intercept the Rasenshuriken. Barrier ninjas and experienced jōnin alike jumped into action, forming hand signs and calling upon defensive techniques to shield against the incoming attack.
"Water Style: Water Wall!"
"Earth Style: Earth Flow Wall!"
In a desperate bid to contain the explosion, a coordinated effort of ninjutsu intercepted the Rasenshuriken. With a thunderous crash, the molten shuriken exploded, sending a wave of scorching heat across the clearing. Many were thrown back by the blast, though thankfully, the protective ninjutsu held enough to prevent any fatalities. The weaker clan members, caught off-guard, stumbled to the ground, shaken but unharmed.
Tomita's face contorted in anger, his Sharingan spinning furiously. "How dare you?!" he growled, his voice barely controlled. "Hirito, you would endanger your clanmates in your lust for power?"
Hirito's response was to summon another molten Rasenshuriken, his expression as calm as before. He met Tomita's gaze, daring him to make a move. "Still want to keep talking? Who else has an objection?"
The crowd remained silent, intimidated by Hirito's display of power. The Uchiha who had earlier opposed him now kept their heads down, their pride wounded but tempered by a newfound caution.
Tomita, his body tense with anger, was forced to swallow his indignation. He knew Hirito was dangerous and would not hesitate to use lethal force. Any rash action now would risk greater harm to the clan's younger generations.
"Where did you learn that technique, Hirito?" Tomita demanded, eyeing the Rasenshuriken warily. He had recognized the Lava Release, a kekkei genkai not seen among the Uchiha.
Hirito's eyes gleamed mischievously, but he remained silent, offering no explanation. Inside, he smirked. The Lava Release was a rare gift, a skill he had kept hidden until now. Those who had witnessed it before were no longer around to tell the tale.
Tomita scowled, attempting to negotiate. "Is this your plan, Hirito? Throwing tantrums like a child? I'm giving you one last chance—stand down now, and we can pretend none of this happened. Submit, and you'll keep your place among the Uchiha. Defy me, and I'll see to it that you're dealt with."
Hirito scoffed, unimpressed by Tomita's threats. "I'd suggest you keep those empty words to yourself. If you truly had the strength, you'd have struck by now."
Uchiha Tomita clenched his fists, but he could see that pushing Hirito too far might lead to a devastating confrontation. He gave a slight nod, signaling the end of the exchange, though his eyes promised retribution.
