Naruto and the others went shopping with Reena and Meena in charge, Lee's shadow clone was with them as always so the twins never found him missing from their little group.
Uzume took Lee to the hospital to begin his medical training. They arrived at Uzume's spacious and well-equipped office, which was located near the administrative area. Lee took a moment to let the new surroundings sink in as he looked around.
The office was furnished with a desk and chairs for patients, and on the desk, there were various documents and unfamiliar medical instruments. It was designed to be a professional and comfortable space for consultations and discussions between doctors and patients.
Uzume settled into her large, imposing chair behind the desk and perused the documents awaiting her review. As she diligently read through each page, a woman entered the room accompanied by three slightly young girls.
"Ah, Uzume-san, I'm glad to find you here. These are the documents requiring your approval, and your appointment is scheduled to begin in fifteen minutes," the poised elderly woman, who seems to be in charge of things here, spoke with a disciplined voice.
"Thank you, Asuka-san. I will make sure to review these documents before my appointment." Uzume replied, glancing up from the papers. The three young girls looked at her with a mixture of curiosity and timidity, clearly unsure of what to do in the presence of their senior doctor.
After finishing her explanation of today's tasks to Uzume, Asuka noticed a young boy sitting nearby. She turned to Uzume, seeking confirmation. "Oh, Asuka-san, this is Lee. He's my new student, and he'll be learning medical jutsu starting today. Please, take good care of him."
"Hello, I'm Rock Lee. It's a pleasure to meet all of you, ma'am," Lee said with a gracious bow. Asuka nodded and smiled warmly, extending a welcoming gesture to Lee. "I'm Asuka, the head nurse here. You'll be training with these three girls," she explained. She may look older compared to the other three but she was only in her thirties other girls were about sixteen or seventeen.
Asuka could see the determination in Lee's eyes, and she knew that he was eager to learn. Asuka assured Uzume that she would do everything in her power to guide Lee and help him improve his skills.
"Today, I have a meeting with the leader of the Uchiha clan. After we are done you can take him," Uzume told Asuka. Asuka nodded in understanding and then called out to the girls who were playing with Lee's cheeks. They sighed that they had to leave so soon upon hearing their superior's request but they followed the head nurse and left the room.
After their departure, Uzume returned her focus to the documents before her. She diligently made notes, signed off on some, and requested further review on others. Time seemed to slip away as she worked until the Uchiha patriarch Fugaku arrived at her office with Itachi and Shisui in tow. As they entered, they noticed Lee seated in the room, but their attention swiftly shifted to Uzume.
"We are incredibly grateful, Uzume-sama, for the time you have generously shared with us. Your actions on behalf of the Uchiha clan have not gone unnoticed, and we want to express our deep appreciation for everything you've done." Fugaku expressed his heartfelt thanks to Uzume during the recent meeting at the Hokage Tower. The Uchihas were now fully aware that she had single-handedly saved their clan and brought justice to Danzo, a feat that they would not have been able to achieve without her, especially since he left no evidence behind.
"It is thanks to your intervention that our clan can finally move forward without fear or suspicion. We owe you a debt of gratitude that can never be repaid, Uzume-sama," Fugaku continued, bowing deeply as a sign of respect for the powerful and wise Uzume.
Uzume smiled warmly at the Uchiha leader and nodded in acknowledgment "It was my honor to assist the Uchiha clan in their time of need. Your loyalty to the village should not go unnoticed or unappreciated," she said looking at Shisui and Itachi. "I am glad to have been able to help restore peace and justice to your people," she replied graciously, her words carrying a sense of strength and wisdom that commanded respect from all those present.
Uzume instructed Itachi-kun and Shisui-kun to take the Seats, then gestured for Fugaku-san to lie on the nearby bed for a closer examination of his eyes. As Fugaku lay down, Uzume's left hand emitted a soft, green glow as she placed it against his forehead, scanning his entire body. Meanwhile, her right hand carefully inspected both of his eyes.
"You possess infinite time Genjitsu, but the light in your eyes is fading," Uzume observed, checking Fugaku's eyes. At first, surprise flickered in his eyes, but he quickly composed himself.
"Yes, during the war, I lost a dear friend and awakened my Mangekyou Sharingan. But as my eyesight began to fail, I stopped using it and kept it a secret. After Kyuubi's attack, which was suspected to be controlled by Mangekyou Sharingan, I was willing to take this secret to my grave. That's why I couldn't defend the Uchiha when Danzo accused them of the attack. I felt guilty, knowing that someone else with an awakened Sharingan might have directed their anger at Konoha." Fugaku hung his head, consumed by guilt.
"You don't have to bear this burden by yourself. Danzo's issues have been resolved. Just do what you can to help the village move forward. You can lean on others and allow them to help you as well," Uzami reassured, gesturing towards Itachi and Shisui. "As for the criminal who controlled Kyuubi to attack, he will be apprehended eventually, whether he is living in the village or is a missing-nin."
I will only post 2 chapters per week from now on. It is really hard for a new author like me to write so much.
I hope you understand.
