Land Of Fire

Outskirts Of Hima clan base

In the outskirts of the clans base you could see the clans ninja loading crates in the wooden cart with horses at the front being attended to and fed by the clans women.

Akio"Its gonna be a long journey Iroh" Akio says as he escorts Iroh to the Cart greeting all the clan members he passed by

"Don't worry about that clan head, I already packed my tea set and i'm sure i will have people to tell my stories to" Iroh says causing all the ninjas who heard to shake their heads while mouthing 'No' towards Akio

Akio Akio though ignores their pleas and just smiles inward at their antics."I hope you guys have a pleasant journey, i'm sure Yamamoto and the rest will be working hard on their tasks"

"I'm not too optimistic on their tasks, although I trust Yamamoto's capabilities, there can be a lot of unforeseen variables in the mission that we didn't take into account" Iroh states as they stop besides the cart

Akio"Hmmm, You have a point that's why I came with a plan B" Akio says as he watches the ninjas carrying the crates as fast and efficient as they could

Akio"If Yamamoto and the rest aren't able to complete the mission by the time you get to the land of iron, then go to the black market to sell the iron" Akio says sharing with Iroh his backup plan. "Though I don't really like this plan as the price for the iron will be seriously lowered and we won't have enough to pay for the amount of debt we are in"

Akio's expression turned grave as he thought about the debt that his clan was facing. For the past five years, they had been struggling to repay it. Despite relying on hunting for sustenance, they still had to purchase basic necessities and ingredients for their daily meals. And with the start of their construction project, their expenses had only increased, adding to their existing debt burden.

"Yh, but i'm actually kind of curious what they will do if we don't pay their debts" Iroh says watching Akio's Distressed face with a bit of amusements

"They have a partnership with the Uchiha and hyuga clan, we aren't strong enough to be facing any of them yet" Aiko says as he notices that all of the crates have been loaded

"Well I guess it's time for you to go," Aiko says watching as Iroh sits at the front of the cart with Arata a Jonin class ninja taking the reins of the horse with a sad look on his face.

'why do I have to be the one to sit near Iroh' He thought as he looks at the other ninjas who just looked away and whistled ignoring his silent plea for help. 'These bastards are getting double training when we get back'

"Safe travels and enjoy your journey," Aiko bids farewell as he watches the cart depart, accompanied by other skilled ninjas from the clan to ensure the goods safety.

"Come on, Riku, let's go see what your father has discovered about this new ore," Akio says, gesturing for the female Jonin ninja to follow him as he heads back to the clan base. Riku, who had just come to say goodbye, stops waving and falls into step behind him.

"Riku, can you give me an update on the supplies we ordered?" Akio asks as they make their way through the bustling base, filled with the sounds of construction and laughter.

"Riku politely responds to Akio's request, acknowledging him as her superior. However, she couldn't help but wonder internally about her role as an assistant and when it began.

Providing an update on their previous orders, she informs Akio that the requested scrolls have arrived at his residence and the construction wood has been delivered, but only half of the requested amount. She relays that the remaining wood will be delivered in two days, while the raw ingredients they ordered will arrive tomorrow.

Akio nods in understanding. Curious about the timeline of the construction and their supplies, Aiko greets the women who were serving the men, and asks for Riku's insights.

Riku confidently responds that the construction should take a month, barring any unforeseen issues, and assures Aiko that the raw materials will last them three months. However, internally she curses her own intelligence, as it has landed her in this position of having to answer these questions instead of going on missions with her friends.

'This type of Scenarios makes me envy the wood release' Akio was filled with admiration as he gazed upon the ongoing construction of the houses. They were being built at a slow pace and would likely take a whole month to complete if there were no problems. In comparison, the wood release ability would have effortlessly constructed the same houses in mere seconds. The thought of such a powerful and efficient ability made Akio envious. It reminded him of the legendary Hashirama, who was able to single-handedly build entire villages with his extraordinary wood release technique.

Akio suddenly snapped out of his reverie when he was jolted by the loud sound of hammering and metals clanging. He immediately turned his attention towards the source of the noise, pulling him back into reality.

The scene before him was a Smithy, a workshop used for metalworking, with a simple setup consisting of just an anvil and a furnace. The blacksmith, a burly figure with long, fiery orange hair flowing down his back, was hard at work. Despite the intense heat emanating from the furnace, his handsome face remained unbothered as he hammered down on a semi-melted ore. With every strike, his muscles glistened with sweat, adding to the rugged but alluring image that would make any woman weak in the knees.

As Aiko watches the handsome and rugged man, he can't help but feel like the man is purposely trying to impress others. "Now it just feels like he's showing off" Aiko thinks to himself, noticing how the sweat only adds to his charm.

Akio coughs gaining the attention of the blacksmiths who pauses what he was doing and turns to see the one who coughed

"Fuji, if you keep hammering like that you might distract all the women from their task" Akio jokes earning the laughters of all the clan members around with some women even blushing at his words

Fuji, the skilled blacksmith of the clan, heard the words of his clan leader and found himself at a loss. Feeling embarrassed, he scratched his head in confusion.

"so Fuji how is your research on the mysterious ore" Akio says bringing the topic to the main focus

"Clan head, I found out that this ore continously absorves sunlight which increase the heat of the metal, and it has good chakra absorbing properties," Fuji steates explaining what he had found out about the ore

"But," he says, catching Akio's attention, "due to the metal's ability to absorb heat and sunlight, we require a higher amount of heat to successfully melt it. Our current heat source is inadequate, and in addition, we need to find another material that can be combined with the ore. The ore alone is not suitable for crafting into a weapon."
