Chapter 8- Realization and Regret

"Naruto is dead." Jiraiya said and answering the question to why they were summoned so suddenly.

Everyone present there was shocked by the sudden news. While all of the elders and a few team leaders manages to keep their composure. Not all of them would keep their calm.

"W-What that c-can't be true? No way that's possible! It's a lie! right? Tsunade-sama! Please tell me that's not true." Sakura kept asking denying the truth and asking with tears in her eyes.

Hinata went down on her knees and started crying. While all the other children who were in the same class with Naruto in his academy days also looked pale, Some more than other. Even Sasuke and Shikamaru who hardly showed any emotion and always kept their composure started going paler. Kakashi, Iruka, Guy also were greatly shaken and asked Shizune for confirmation. But she only held her head down tears slipping down her cheeks which confirmed it for everybody who was still doubting the news.

Iruka also started loosing strength in his legs and suddenly fell to his knees and Kakashi tried to support him. "Are you okay?! Iruka." Guy and Kakashi asked Iruka.

"Yeah I'm fine. Just lost my strength for a moment." Iruka said tears in his eyes. Kakashi extended an arm to pull Iruka back on his feet. "Thanks Kakashi-san"

While Naruto's team, classmates, and teachers looked heavily shaken, the elders maintained their calms and asked "How did it happen? And what happened to the kyuubi?" Danzo asked.

Tsunade was in no condition to answer their questions. So instead Shizune answered them trying to maintain her composure. "Some Anbu members found his body. He was stabbed in the heart and fell down from the cliff of the Hokage statues. The wareabouts of the nine tails are unknown right now."

"Well the one who killed him probably took it somehow or if he simply committed suicide then the kyuubi would've potentially wandered off his own." Danzo said trying to assess the situation. "Well whatever! We will need to make preparations if the fox suddenly decides to attack us."

"You're right Danzo. We will need to make preparations." Another elder nodded in agreement.

While Kakashi and his colleges could only look at the elders ignoring Naruto's death. The others were even more shocked at how easily they are trying to use Naruto's death as a political tool.

"Enough!!" Tsunade shouted all of a sudden. "You got the news. The meeting is over. So you can go back now and don't ever try to use Naruto's or anyone else death a political tool in front of me." Tsunade said in anger.

Some of the elders clicked their tongue and started going back while chattering among themselves. "Well guess we got one less monster to worry about..."Finally the demon brat is gone..." every one of them soon gone.

"H-How can they say such awful things?" Sakura said in anger and sadness. Everyone kept looking downwards not knowing what to do. While some of them started remembering their interaction with Naruto as they treated him the same as the elders did just now. Regret clearly visible on their face realizing their own mistakes and the horrible way they treated Naruto.
