Surpassing the teacher and appraising techniques

Since the beginning of the classes, Bakura had always been an exemplary student.

He arrived to class at least 15 minutes early and made sure he had everything prepared to follow Iruka's explanation without distractions.

Participating in class and not being afraid to voicing his thoughts, opinions, doubts, or questions about topics.

He even tutoring other students,

helping his fellow classmates to understand the topics better.

This made him specially popular with the students with more simple backgrounds.

Iruka had been regarding him with outmost respect in her heart all this time.

Whenever she saw that Bakura was paying attention to the lesson, she laughed in her heart. She had finally found someone that wasn't wasting their time in the academy!

She knew that she did, specially after the death of her parents.

Iruka continued talking about the 36 foundation patterns from the Uchiha clan.

"The Uchiha Flaming Patterns! In the research on Flaming Patterns, the Uchiha no doubt has a well-deserved lead!" She said while glancing at her student that belonged to the clan in question.

"The Sacred Flaming Patterns has 66 foundation patterns. This pattern, for example…." Iruka drew a totem formed from many patterns coming together on the blackboard. "This is the Scarlet Sunburst Pattern. This pattern was created by clan Uchiha. It's the most powerful Bronze pattern! This pattern is made up of 36 foundation patterns combined together. Rocky Li and Tenko smiled at each other, already very used to their friend's antics. No matter what, competing in class with him was something they didn't dared to do.

Bakura's polite attitude also made Iruka even more respectful of him. She said in a calm voice. "Could you please summarize everything I said until now about the Scarlet Sunburst Pattern?"

"Of course sensei." Bakura calmly said.

"Go on then." Iruka said.

Bakura's eyes swept across the inscription pattern on the board and said. "This is a low-graded Pattern from the Uchiha clan. It can barely be classified as Bronze rank. With 38 patterns in it's structure, it's power is small, but outside of combat applications it has a vast range of uses."

Hearing what Bakura just said, the whole class began to whisper among themselves.

Neijire Hyuuga couldn't help but to snicker in contempt.

"Did he really listen to what the teacher said. To actually say that this Scarlet Sunburst Pattern has 38 foundation pattern in it's structure when, earlier on, teacher Iruka just introduced that there are 36 foundation patterns in it's structure!"

"He actually said that it has not practical usage in combat! A Pattern provided by the powerful Uchiha clan?!" Meinu Inuzuka said quietly.

While Satsuki still respected Bakura, she couldn't avoid becoming a little worried. He just said that the Bronze pattern that's been passed down in her clan is actually useless in battle. This, simply, cannot possibly be true!

Among all the students, only Tenko and Rocky remained calm, they knew their friend for enough time to know he wouldn't have committed such plain mistake.

Most people don't know Bakura's real talent.

At that moment, outside of the classroom, Minato also laughed. "It appears anyone can be mistaken from time to time."

While she was laughing, the Fourth Hokage began recollecting what she knew about the Pattern in question.

She suddenly stopped by pushing her laughter back into her stomach.

How did she not saw it before?!

But what made her feel even more shocked is that this notion actually came from a student.

Was this student randomly guessing?

For experts like her, the Scarlet Sunburst, had actually very small effect in battle.

A light flashed across the Hokage's eye, but she did not say anything and remained silent.

"Apologies sensei, but the Scarlet Sunburst is indeed made from 38 foundation patterns." Bakura calmly said. "However, the content inside the Book of Divine Paper Fan is encrypted with in a code that belonged to the Uchiha Clan during the Warring States Period. Although the first volumes were translated, the other volumes were not. Hopefully, with my basic grasp of this encrypted language my translation isn't too much inaccurate."

Never expecting that her student actually had this book with him, Iruka had a look of surprise.

Although she is one of the most qualified professors of Holy Flame Academy, the amount of books in the library easily numbered hundred thousands and 90% of them were left behind from the ancient times.

Even she couldn't say the names of every single book.

There are also many books that weren't translated.

Thanks to his mysterious wisdom, Bakura was proficient with countless languages.

Not to mention, he could also recall the content of millions of books.

There isn't any obstacles in reading the words written by any form of code for Bakura.

Satsuki had her face coloured with surprise. Even she has never read the Book of Divine Paper Fan before.

"Let me see, Book of Divine Paper Fan volume seven." Announced Bakura as he immediately began rummaging through the book.

This book was several hundred pages thick. Inside, the book was filled with illustrations, text, and pattern diagrams.

There was no official translation for it after the first volume. The complex, ancient words caused many people to have a headache just by looking at it.

But one could see that some loose sheets of papers were among the book's pages.

Probably containing Bakura's attempt at translating the encrypted content.

After turning to volume seven, the pages in this volume alone had hundreds of inscription patterns.

Before the teacher or the class got impatient he flipped thirty pages backwards from volume seven.

He then compared the sixth diagram in page thirty with the Scarlet Sunburst inscription pattern to Iruka, whom was at this point standing besides him.

"You were right!" The teacher announced while inspecting the book and the classroom board.

The crowd of students let out a sound of surprise and return to discuss among themselves.

Bakura is actually correct! Again!

Neijire clenched her fist tightly, her fingers turned white.

Listening to the discussions of the students, her heart became even more unhappy, she already saw Bakura as an enemy.

Naruko couldn't help but to look at Bakura again, never did she think that he knew more than Iruka sensei.

Since she first saw him, she was unable to ignore his existence. Curiosity rose from her heart, what kind of person he actually was?

As for Satsuki, hearing how Bakura uses his sharp intellect to prove his capability, she couldn't help but to feel relieved.

Hearing that her clan might've produced some inscription that was unworthy for battle made her feel conflicted initially, but after he explained and proved his point, she couldn't help but to let an breath she didn't knew she was holding.

The Hokage understood, with Bakura's profound knowledge, even if he couldn't become a powerful Shinobi in the future, he could still become an important individual to the Leaf.

Smiling as she replied. "I will consider this matter. I thank you again for doing a good job."

"Understood my lady. Appreciate your kind words as always." Iruka said humbly.

"It's always good to know that the next generation is growing strong and smart. Let's not forget that in two months there'll be the apprentice fighter test."

"Certainly an important event!" Iruka nodded.

Minato sighed, turned around and walked towards her office's window. "You are dispensed for today."

Seeing the Hokage sudden mood change, Iruka's eyes flashed with a hint she understood why.

Nonetheless, she obeyed her superior's order.

At this moment in the library's 3rd floor, there's a lot of small rooms originally meant as Holy Falme Academy's student reading rooms, but at this moment, they became the base of Bakura and his group because he has been hired to be a library clerk.

Being a clerk doesn't require one to do anything and would receive three hundred Ryos every month.

Getting these kind of benefits who wouldn't agree?

The Fourth Hokage doesn't knew to what extent, because of her decision to hire him as a library clerk, Holy Flame Academy would eventually benefit in the near future.

"Bakura, you really surpassed yourself this time!" Rocky spoke after being silent for a momen.

"Yeah, great job... now I guess you can continue to study." Tenko curled said finding the place just like his close friend.

Bakura looked towards Rocky nodding his head. "Thanks! In the last few days we haven't gone to class, Iruka allowed me to lecture you guys myself."

Since Bakura already put it this way, Rocky also didn't say anything else.

At this moment beside Bakura, Rocky, and Tenko, there are also two girls staring at each other.

They were Satsuki and Naruko.

Their innate talent was miles away better then the three friends, having blue grade chakra.

Bakura was glad have the trust from both of them, in canon they were the main protagonists.

After Naruko's counterpart became Hokage, he and Sasuke were possibly the strongest in the planet.

Possibly even beyond... if not for the confusing plot of Boruto.

But now in this reality, the small group of them are being led by him.

"Today, I want to test your aptitude!" Bakura said while looking at them.

"Test aptitude? Didn't we already have our aptitude tested when we enrolled into the academy?" Rocky asked feeling puzzled.

Bakura just mysteriously smiled saying. "My test are different from that one!"

Everyone in the room had their doubts.

Ever since the establishment of the Leaf City, they have been always using the usual method.

Their chakra reserves had already been measured, what does Bakura want to test?

Usually one would require one primary chakra crystal to repeat the test, and it might cost one thousand Ryos and Bakura actually thought he could do so without it!

Although they had some doubts regarding Bakura's words, due to the profound knowledge that he had always showed, they were convinced in his words without any discussion.

"Generally, unused chakra crystals are the most sensitive. If it is used to test a person's chakra they will be extremely accurate. But once there is more than one person who has used the same crystal, the readings will have interference and can barely test the chakra's type and its strength." Bakura said, laughing.

"Other than the chakra's type and strength, what else can be tested?" Tenko asked curiously.

"The attributes and form of the chakra network!" Bakura answered with a smile.

Naruko, Satsuki and the rest all looked at him, what Bakura just said sounds very profound.

"I will be performing my technique in each one of you!" He said as he focused the flow of his chakra in his forehead.

Seeing Bakura closing his eyes, every awaited with anticipation.

"Rocky, you'll test first!" Bakura turned to her and gestured for her to approach him. "Please, come closer!"

"Right." She nodded her head as she made her way to stand in front of him.

To her surprise, Bakura placed both hands over her shoulders and said. "Please allow our foreheads to touch."

She thought he was kidding, at the movement of his head, their foreheads actually touched one another.

Naruko gasped at that while Satsuki widened her eyes.

Tenko was the only one that began dreading his time.

Rocky had to admit, Bakura was even more handsome from this distance.

Their lips were almost touching, but as she was about to blush heavily, her consciousness suddenly shifted.

She immediately closed her eyes and saw something.

The darkness gradually started to shine.

Getting brighter and brighter, shining on her tender metaphysical face, speckles began appearing dancing around in front of her.

She now understood that was the technique Bakura previously mentioned.

It was just like a chakra crystal, and judging from this level of brightness, there is still quite a distance until she reached 1-star bronze Shinobi.

Hot mist escapist technique? No, this technique is her style, especially once training reaches the ending, it unfortunately trades an optimal defense for better hiding one's presence.

Bakura couldn't believe what he was seeing. "Bristlecone Pine form is surprisingly rare, there wouldn't be one Chaotic Wind attribute in hundreds of thousands of people for generations. Why not practice the Swift Chaotic Maelstrom technique?"

"Swift Chaotic Maelstrom technique? Is it strong?" She asked excitedly, as it sounded powerful from the name itself.

"Of course, it's the strongest I can think for you. And it also doesn't requires much practice, only the need to foster the Chaos law in your body, it suits you." Bakura said, laughing. "It will depend on your luck as for training to the highest level."

"Calm down please. It's everything okay. It's part of my technique." Bakura reassured her. "I just had to make a little more effort with you."

Satsuki simply nodded and Bakura repeated the process.

"Blue graded chakra, with Blaze Attribute and the Shadow Flickering Illusion form!"

Bakura was confused. "Shadow Flickering Illusion form is a rare combination, fortunately each foundation improves the other. Why not practice the Living Ghost technique?"

"Is it strong?" She asked a little curious, she may not admit but her expectations were really high.

"Of course, it's the best suited for you. Though it will require a lot of practice, but I find it surprisingly well suited for your dojutsu." Bakura said seriously. "And you better start practicing it, I did what you asked of me that time I walked you home."

Listening his words, her heart almost froze instantly.

"Thanks Bakura, I will definitely never forget my debt to you!"

She then opened her eyes, but Satsuki immediately noticed that everything was more clear to her. And everything seemed to have slowed their pace.

As she looked to the others around her, she noticed that they were surprised to look at her.

She closed her eyes for a brief moment and remembered the feeling she felt during Bakura's technique.

When she opened her eyes again, everything was back to normal.

But she felt tired all of the sudden.

Yes, she definitely had learned how to control the Sharingan.

Now, last but not least, it's Tenko's time.

He was obviously uncomfortable mimicking the girls roles and swore that if Bakura wasn't his best friend he definitely wouldn't be doing it.

"Red graded chakra, with Explosive Inscription Attribute and the Puppet Arsenal form! I would recommend the White Crossed Steel technique, it draws a lot from ancient forms of Bukijutsu." Bakura revealed to Tenko.

"Thanks a lot man! I won't disappoint you with this gift you are giving me... now, if it's ok for you... can we like not repeat what your girlfriends did during class." He replied and requested.

"No problem." Bakura said catching his friend meaning.

At the end of their section together, Bakura successfully gave his friends cultivation techniques couldn't be compared to anything that the City had.

Not to mention the cultivation techniques were also the best suited to their aptitudes and Network of chakra, their future practice would also be more effective!
