Leading the team to break through (Part 2)

"Fighting alone?"

"How much supplies do we have left? How long can we last?"

Yasuke was new to the battlefield, but as someone who had traveled from another world, he knew how important war supplies were.

To put it simply, if people can't eat, they can't fight. War supplies included food for the ninja troops. If the supplies were damaged, it meant the army had no food, which was almost the same as waiting to die when surrounded by enemies.

Hearing Yasuke's question, the captain of the medical unit nodded silently.

Knowing Yasuke's background, the captain of the medical unit was the only one who knew Yasuke's true strength.

From Yasuke's first question, the captain understood Yasuke wasn't just an ordinary kid. So, while he had high hopes for Yasuke, he sighed deeply and said, "Yasuke, in the previous raid, our war supplies weren't damaged at all, so the remaining supplies can last us at least ten days."

So when Yasuke heard Dakota wanted to introduce two reliable partners, he smiled and agreed to meet them.

But when the two new partners appeared before him, introduced by Dakota, Yasuke was stunned. He had never expected that the people Dakota would recommend were familiar faces from the original story!

"Yasuke, this is Asuma Sarutobi, the son of the Third Hokage. He's strong!"

"And this one... hehe!"

"Kurenai Yuhi, a strong genjutsu-type ninja, aims to be like Lady Tsunade!"

"Yasuke, nice to meet you."

"Kurenai, Asuma, nice to meet you too!"

With his face hidden behind the Anbu mask, Yasuke's voice didn't betray his awkwardness.

But behind the mask, Yasuke was dying of embarrassment!

He hadn't expected Dakota to introduce two more kids!

Adding Yasuke and Dakota, their breakout team was practically a kids' squad!

Okay, Yasuke didn't underestimate Kurenai and Asuma. After all, they became famous Jonin in the original story. But right now, Kurenai had just become a Chunin, and Asuma, though looking mature with his messy hair, would struggle against regular Chunin.

With two rookies in tow, Yasuke really couldn't see much hope for their breakout.

But since Dakota had recommended them, Yasuke couldn't just turn them away. So, swallowing his frustration, he said, "Kurenai, Asuma, since Dakota recommended you, I trust your skills. But I must say this upfront, this mission is very dangerous. We might die in the enemy's siege. So if you're not confident, it's okay to back out now."

Clearly, Yasuke hoped to scare Kurenai and Asuma into backing out.

But before he finished speaking, Asuma nonchalantly replied, "Yasuke, stop with the useless talk. Just tell us when to start!"

"Heh, I've been ready for a while, just waiting for your order!"

"Uh..."

"Let's go now."

If Asuma's careless attitude made Yasuke feel like hitting his head against the wall, Kurenai's comment nearly made both Yasuke and Dakota faint!

"Yasuke, is 'Dove' Dakota's code name? It sounds bad and a bit girly!"
