Shinobi ranking system
The efficient and effective functioning of the hamlet and its shinobi system is highly dependent on the regular forces (正規部隊, Seiki Butai). A significant number of skilled shinobi are part of these forces, who collaborate to successfully accomplish most of the missions assigned to the village, both individually and as a team. Additionally, they shoulder various responsibilities such as training and administration within the organization, making them an integral part of its smooth functioning.
Upon completion of their studies, Academy students typically choose to serve in one of the various forces, starting with the rank of genin. Through rigorous examination and testing, they can advance to higher positions, including chunin and jounin. Furthermore, those who specialize in a specific talent may be eligible for the rank of special (tokubetsu) jounin, which is situated between the chunin and jounin ranks.
