Chapter 79: The Family is together

Ken carefully drew the explosion symbol without applying any chakra to it. To the surprise of Hataki, Ken did not make any mistake while drawing the symbol.

Ken though was not surprised by the result as due to his handwriting and calligraphy classes, he had practiced drawing this symbol a lot.

"Good, You can now practice while applying chakra into it. You would practice this seal for an hour before we move to the next thing. Remember if the explosion tag starts burning midway or if you feel the chakra in the tag getting disturbed throw the tag in the river immediately. Don't waste even a second before you throw it. Do you understand?" Hataki said on a serious note.

Ken nodded as he started infusing chakra while Hataki guided him about the amount of chakra to be distributed in each of his strokes.

"You have added too much chakra in your third stroke. Throw it."

*Boom*

"You have added too little chakra in your fourth stroke. Throw it."

*Boom*

This continued for the rest of the hour without Ken achieving any success in making a perfect explosion tag.

"You did good. It takes at least a week for someone to make a successful explosion tag. Once you get the amount of chakra to be added in each stroke correct, it would make it easy for you to make explosion tags from thereon." Hataki encouraged Ken

'Damn I thought it would be easy to add the required amount of chakra to the strokes thanks to my lava release training where I had to merge different amounts of earth release chakra and fire release chakra for different lava forms.' Ken thought but he had a small smile on his face as he looked at the bucket next to him filled with some burned fishes.

"Guess I am having fish for dinner today."

"Alright, Now for the last lesson for today then your next lesson would be next week. Till then you would practice the explosion tag seal."

"A lesson just a week? Should not we have more lessons?" Ken asked

Hataki was amused at this question as he sarcastically replied "Do you think a fuinjutsu master is free to teach a brat like you for an entire week? There are less than a dozen fuinjutsu masters in the hidden leaf. We are required to supply the entire village with sealing scrolls, explosion tags, barrier seals, and many advanced-level seals. It was because of Lord Third that you could get a fuinjutsu teacher at my level. Now let's start your next lesson."

After another two hours of training, Ken left for his home with the bucket of fish.

As he reached his home, he was surprised to see his parents present.

"Hey Dad" "Mom"

Ken rushed to hug his parents who too happily hugged him.

"Why are you here? Don't you have any work?" Ken asked

"I would answer that later but would you please tell me why the refrigerator is filled with only Sweets? Have you been only eating sweets in my absence?" Hanako glared at him as Ken lowered his head and played with his hands embarrassed.

"Ummm" Ken looked at his dad for help who laughed and said "Leave him Hanako, he is a growing kid who just likes sweets more than any other kid. As for why we are here is because we have taken a break from Anbu duties partially and are focusing on our own training."

"Training at your age?" Ken looked at them with weird eyes.

"Are you calling us old, boy? We are still in our twenties for your information. Even your grandpa trains at his old age, Why couldn't we? We have still many years to train and grow stronger." Shinsuke snorted and Hanako nodded at that.

"Calling your mom an old lady, You have forgotten your manners, Ken." Hanako's glare intensified.

Ken realized his mistake and tried to defuse the situation "Let's have some fish for dinner. Look what I have bought home."

His trick worked as their focus shifted to the fish.

"This sounds good. We have not had fish for dinner for a while." Shinsuke said

"So what are you both training in?" Ken asked curious

"I have been training in fuinjutsu. I have been learning differing sealing jutsus. As for your mom, I have no clue what she is learning except the fact that she has been taking assistance from Inoichi Yamanaka." Shinsuke said

'He is probably learning sealing jutsus to seal the nine tails if it ever breaks out again. He is as hurt as me with grandma's death if not more after all.' Ken said feeling sad that his dad had not gotten over his mother's death.

"All I can tell you is that I am learning a kind of sensory jutsu," Hanako said with a smile as she prepared dinner.

"Ah, It looks like we would be having fish for dinner." Another voice came from the door.

Ken looked to see Hiruzen standing there as a wide smile formed on his face. His whole family would be having dinner together after a long while.

'Grandma would be happy to see this.'
