Chapter 57: Mom and Dad

After they completed their mission and received their mission money, they had to divide it into four with forty percent going to Shikuro as the jonin sensei of the team and the rest sixty percent was divided among the genins equally. Each getting only twenty percent of the payment.

Needless to say, Ken demanded equality among all rank of ninjas but he was refused by Shikuro who said that he had a newborn baby to take care off so he needed that extra money.

The mission stayed a C rank even though two chunins were part of the enemies. When the mission comprises of facing against at least three chunins or a jonin then it becomes a B rank mission. Two or more jonins makes it an A rank mission. Facing a Kage ranked shinobi makes it an S ranked mission.

Of course, this ranking distribution was only on the basis of the level of an enemy one might face in such mission. The importance of mission can also give it a higher rank. For example, assasinating a noble who is only protected by two chunins might be considered a C rank mission but considering that the failure of assassination of noble can lead to war between villages, the mission can reach A rank or even beocme a S rank mission.

Anyways, the next day after Ken returned to hidden leaf, he was met with an unexpected surprise.

Normally, Ken would wake up early to train but since he returned from a rather long and tiringjourney, he decided to sleep extra.

There was another reason for him to have the habit of waking up early. It was his mom who would always shout at him for waking up late.

"Wakeeeee Up Kennnnn!" A shout that sent shivers down Ken spine woke Ken up.

He immediately woke up and sat up straight.

If anyone from Earth saw this, they would relate to how Ken woke up was similar to Undertaker.

He looked sideways only to see the raging face of his mom, Hanako Sarutobi.

"Mom, You are home?" Ken asked confused since his mom as the Anbu vice commander is always busy with work along with his dad. They were rarely home. He could count the number of times on his hand that they were home since the nine tails rampage.

They were infact more busy than his grandpa who was the Hokage as they had to leave the village often to carry out the missions or lead Anbu teams.

"It does not mean that if I am not home that you get to wake up late, young man. Have not I taught you to always wake up early? Are you developing bad habits since i am not paying attention on you? And why did I see the refrigerator filled with all kinds of sweets? Tell me you have been brushing your teeth atleast after eating all that junk." Hanako kept on speaking as Ken mumbled

"They are not junk, they tasted delicious ....."

"Huh? Did i give you permission to speak? That's it. You deserve a spanking!" Hanako said as she rolled her sleeves to the horror of Ken.

Seeing the danger, Ken tried to run away but how can Ken run away the vice Anbu Commander?

Hanako caught him in an instant and the rest was history.

After some time both Ken and Hanako walked to the dining table where his father Shinsuke Sarutobi was sippling his tea.

Shinsuke could not help but laugh as he saw his son holding his bum while having some tears in his eyes.

"Who would have thought that the one who threatens the Hokage of the village and his own jonin sensei to be crying because of some spanking?" Shinsuke said as Ken glared at him.

"Huh? You thretened your jonin sensei?" Hanako asked as she looked at Ken with suspicious eyes.

"Have not you heard that he asked Shikuro to give up his share of mission money and give it to his students or else he would burn him?" Shinsuke said amused

"Ken, did not i tell you to stop threatening people to burn them? And why do you need so much money anyways?" Hanako asked

"Is having a lot of money wrong?" Ken asked back to which Hanako had no answer as she too loved money.

"Hahaha" Shinsuke laughed a she got a glare from his wife.

"So Ken, I heard you just completed your first mission that too a C rank one. Tell me about that." Shinsuke asked

Ken excitedly told the story.

"Those three people were hilarious. I would have spared them if they would not have called me short."

Shinsuke interrupted Ken at this with a worried and serious tone "I just received news that the guys whose legs you cut has died, Ken."

"Ohh, too bad. May he become a good person in his next life. AMEN" Ken said with both his hands folded.

"Son, You just killed a person. Don't you feel bad?"

'Hmm, Now that I think about that why don't I feel anything? I mean i can feel emptions clearly and i am not an emotionless person. And i would be disgusted at the notion of cutting someone legs. But i did not. Maybe the notion of being in a shinobi world where people kill each other as their work changed my perspective.'

Ken looked at his dad and honsetly said "No dad, I dont feel anything. Is that normal?"
