Chapter 102: Kakashi as future Ken's Sensei?

As Hiruzen nodded at Ken's request, he thought about the possible implications of letting Kakashi teach Ken ' There should be nothing wrong in letting Kakashi teach him. Kakashi was already a genius but now with the Sharingan that does not constantly feed on his chakra, he is as much a genius as Ken or Itachi.'

'Heck, I would say that he is a combination of both of them. He has mastery over hundreds of jutsus across all the basic chakra natures and now even has enough chakra reserves to use them. He has inherited Sakumo's kenjutsu and is one of the best genjutsu users in Konoha thanks to his Sharingan. Speaking about sharingan, his mastery over it, is better than 95% of Uchihas. He is also quite famous.' Hiruzen thought

After getting the chakra seal on his Sharingan, Kakashi has become even more famous than before. Despite still being a teen, his name strikes fear through his enemies. He even got a new moniker to his name apart from Kakashi Hatake the son of White Fang, Kakashi of the Sharingan, and the copycat ninja. He is now apparently also called Kakashi, the purple flash because of his unique lightning release and him being a student of the fourth Hokage who was called the yellow flash.

'He also has a lot of combat experience as well as mission experience since he had become a chunin at only 6. I think Kakashi would be the best person to succeed me as the next Hokage. Well, I have another decade in me to find the next Hokage. So I have time to groom him. It would be better for Ken to succeed me but this brat thinks being a Hokage is boring.' Hiruzen though agreed to the fact that being a Hokage was extremely boring. Just look at him trying to make excuses to run away from his job every other day.

'The only other problem in Kakashi is his mental trauma caused by the death of his father, teacher, and teammates from which he still has to recover. He also does not have much maturity to deal with his fellow Lead Shinobi.' Hiruzen thought

'This would also be good for Kalashi. He might feel more attached to Konoha if he has some students here and it would also help sought out his mental trauma. if he could handle teaching Ken, then maybe could make him a Jonin sensei for Naruto. Since his sensei was Minato, he should have a connect with Naruto. And since he possesses sharingan and some mastery in fuinjutsu, he would be able to tame the nine tails if it gets loose. Well, he is still far from that level but not much far either.' Hiruzen thought as he made plans for Kakashi's future.

'I don't think that Ken would be learning Lightning release in the near future since he would be busy with both water release chakra and wind release chakra and then ice release. Add to that the constant practice for Lava release, Kenjutsu, Sensory and fuinjutsu and he won't have time to learn lightning release for years. It's enough time for Kakashi to grow up a little more.'

'Now that I think about it, Is Ken trying to follow my path by mastering everything? He must think about me as a role model. Despite his tough exterior, he really loves me a lot and wants to follow my path. What a cute grandson that I have.' Hiruzen mentally cupped his grandson's cheeks.

Hiruzen did not know how wrong he was in his assumption. Ken did not learn everything because his grandpa had learned them or he wanted to become the next professor.

He learned or wanted to learn all of these things because he knew their importance and at some point in time, everything he learned would come in handy at a critical point of time.

Kenjutsu would help him compete in close combat and against enemies on whom ninjutsus don't work.

Ninjutsu was his bread and butter. It would be his trump card in most of his fights. It was also his strength since he had a massive amount of chakra which would only grow in time along with two kekkei genkais that would add both versatility and destructiveness to his repertoire.

Fuinjutsu was necessary for various things along with dealing with various fuinjutsu traps, infiltrating barriers, sealing reanimation corpses, and dealing with tailed beasts if necessary. Not to mention, it helps in creating as many paper bombs as he wants.

Sensory was required to dodge assassination attempts or ambushes and pursue enemies if necessary.

As Hiruzen was spacing out, Ken's shouting broke him out of his thoughts.

"What were you thinking? You have accepted my request right?" Ken asked

"Yes, Kakashi would teach you lightning release but he would impart you his personal jutsus or his father's jutsus at his own discretion. Also remember, you have promised me that you would never trouble me again. That means that I should receive no complaints from your teammates, Shikuro, Dessert Shop owners...."

"Wait, My teammates and Shikuro sensei complain about me? What did I ever do to them?"

"Itachi requested for a team change within a month of you becoming a shinobi because he said you were too clingy to him and whenever he tried to shoo you off, you started clinging to his little brother Sasuke. The sweet shop's shopkeeper complained about you eating from their shops without paying. Shikuro complained....."

"Alright Alright, I get it. I will try to behave from now on." Ken embarrassedly said but Hiruzen knew that it was not possible.

"Alright, Now show me what have you learned since becoming a shinobi," Hiruzen said as he formed the reconciliation seal and prompted Ken to do the same.

The battle between Grandpa and Grandson was on!
