Chapter-18 : Urgent Mission

It was noon right now as Hiro sparred against Hinata in the training ground.

"This is why you don't get overconfident, although I am at a disadvantage while using water style Jutsus against your Lightning style, It is still easy for me to push you around and let you go through your chakra"

"Learning Lightning chakra nature transformation has decreased the amount of chakra you need for Lightning style Jutsus, its still a very chakra intensive nature and guzzles down you reserves extremely fast" Hiro explained as a wave of water smashed against Hinata. 

"You will need to..." as Hiro was saying, he suddenly felt a presence in his range as he turned around and felt the presence approaching him fast.

"Spar is over, go back and do some chakra control training" Hiro said as he send Hinata back towards his front yard.

"So what do I owe this pleasure to be visited by you guys" Hiro said as he said looking into the vegetation around.

"Oh come on, did you not get briefed that I'm a sensor?" Hiro said as he threw a kunai towards the person who tried to hid himself, or rather, herself. 

As the person caught the kunai, it burst into a bunch of confetti, startling her.

"So, how can I serve the ANBU today?" Hiro said as he looked at the emerging figure in his vision.

It was a female ANBU operative with purple hair wearing the standard ANBU issued uniform, Konoha flak jacket and a sword on her back, although her face was covered with a porcelain cat mask, Hiro was able to 'see' her facial features with his extraordinary senses and could tell she was a beauty.

'Is she someone I remember from the series?' Hiro though as she stepped forward as handed him a scroll as she said "You have been summoned by Hokage-sama, I'm here to escort you to her" 

Hiro opened the scroll with a raised eyebrow as he read through its content, it said that he was needed urgently for a mission where his skills of tracking people down fast would be of great importance.

"Sure, I'll come along, but let me inform my student first, it would be awkward if she searches for me and I'm gone without telling her" Hiro said to the ANBU member and went inside to tell Hinata that he might be gone for a few days and she should continue her training as he had taught her.

"Lets go" He said as he followed the ANBU as they headed to the center of the village where Hokage tower was located.

As they jumped over tree tops, walls and houses, Hiro couldn't help but look onto her swaying hips as the only though in his mind that appeared after seeing them was 'Damn, she got cake'

Soon, they reached the Hokage tower as the she led him through the corridors and into the Hokage's office.

"Hokage-Sama" Hiro greeted.

The air in the room looked heavy as Hiro sensed something was wrong.

"I won't waste time and come directly to the point" Tsunade said in a heavy tone as she took out a scroll and threw it towards Hiro.

"There was an incident that happened in a small village known as Temer, its 800 KM south of Konoha, near the Shakoba pass" 

"There were reports of some unusual killings and a mission was issued by the village"

"To Investigate the matter and find out the cause, Jonin Kurenai Yuhi along with 3 reserve Chunins, Shinta kuo, Ren Takaba, and Takashi Sen were sent to the area"

"Given deadline of the A ranked mission such as this was six weeks, those six weeks ended a couple days ago, today however we have received a distress signal from the village, due to the messenger bird being injured, it took much more time to deliver the message, we estimate that it was issued 8 days prior"

"I've summoned you here to issue you this task of tracking them down and extract them out of danger"

"Since this is an urgent matter of the utmost importance, I am sending you and Neko for this mission" Tsunade finished telling Hiro his mission with a somber tone.

"Don't worry Hokage Sama, I'll do my best" Hiro said as he said with sincerity.

Very few in Konoha actually remember that Hiro is a Tracking and hunt down specialist, even less know that he's actually quite strong and possesses almost a magical talent in tracking people down.

During the past 3 years, all the missions Hiro had taken were of hunting down A ranked criminals that had either gone into hiding or had joined a big faction of sorts, and each time Hiro completed the Mission with much time to spare.

He was probably one of the few ninjas who could boast 100% completion rate in their fields.

'Kurenai wont die easily, she has the plot's grace, but they don't know that'

It was only Hiro who knew that Kurenai was someone belonging to the mail plot, even if just as a side character, for other people, she was just a normal Jonin who went on a mission that went haywire, in most such cases, there is no one left to rescue as they are already dead.

'And thats what Tsunade might be thinking right now' Hiro thought.

Hiro looked to his right as 'Neko', the ANBU operative that had led him here looked at him through her porcelain cat mask.

"Lets leave now, we cannot make any more delay" Hiro said as he said to 'Neko' and then exited after greeting the Hokage.

Although he was 99% sure Kurenai will survive, but for that off chance 1% he needed to make his way quicker.

In just 5 minutes, both Him and 'Neko' were at the southern entrance of Konoha as they made their way towards the place where the incident took place.
