Chapter 5 - : Lottery system
In this way, Naruto and Hinata trained at their secret base every day for an entire year.
During this time, with Naruto's guidance, Hinata's strength advanced to the level of a lower-tier ninja, and she was on the verge of breaking through to the next stage. More importantly, Hinata had come to understand Taijiquan and had begun integrating it into her Gentle Fist technique. If she were to fight seriously, even a regular Chūnin would struggle against her.
Naruto was pleasantly surprised by Hinata's rapid progress, feeling both proud and relieved. The stronger she became, the more at ease he felt. Although the original story made it seem like Hinata didn't have much talent, Naruto was now convinced that her talent was high—it had just been hidden.
Of course, Naruto also made great strides. After a year of training, his strength had neared that of a Tokubetsu Jōnin, with only a few more steps needed to reach the next tier.
"Ding... Congratulations, my brother, for breaking through to Tokubetsu Jōnin. The exchange system is now active..."
A sudden voice rang in Naruto's mind, and he was stunned for a moment before breaking into a smile. Finally, he had reached Tokubetsu Jōnin.
"Ding... The exchange system has been activated... The hidden system 'lottery system' has also been activated..."
Before Naruto could fully celebrate, the voice rang again, bringing him even more joy.
"Brother, congratulations!" Hajime Saito said warmly.
Naruto, hearing Hajime Saito's congratulations, felt elated. "I don't have any exchange points yet, but what other benefits does this lottery system have?" he asked, curious.
Hajime Saito replied seriously, "Brother, first, you should know that the exchange system can only be used to trade items from the Naruto world."
"Wait," Naruto asked in surprise, "I can't exchange for things from other worlds?"
"That's right," Hajime Saito confirmed, "but don't be sad, brother. The lottery system was designed to make up for that!"
"You mean?" Naruto's excitement grew as he realized the possibilities.
"Exactly! Just as you're thinking, items from other worlds can be obtained through the lottery system, with their full power intact!"
"How do you calculate the number of lottery draws?" Naruto asked, cutting to the most important point. He didn't want just a single shot at this—it would feel like nothing at all.
"Don't worry," Hajime Saito said with a smile. "The lottery can be drawn once per year. Additionally, every time you complete an S-rank mission, you'll get another chance to draw. For SS-rank missions, you'll get two chances, and for SSS-rank missions, you'll receive three!"
"What about right now?" Naruto asked.
"Since the system has just been activated, you currently have one chance to draw a lottery. Would you like to use it now?" Hajime Saito asked playfully.
"Yes!" Naruto nodded.
Hajime Saito displayed the lottery system page in front of Naruto. There were five categories: 'Xianxia,' 'Technology,' 'Fantasy,' 'Anime,' and 'Abilities.'
"Do you want to start the lottery?" Hajime Saito asked.
Without hesitation, Naruto responded, "Start!"
The wheel spun rapidly before slowing down and finally landing on the "Anime" category. Another five options appeared: "Fire Style: Majestic Flame Destroyer (A)," "Wind Style: Rasenshuriken (S)," "Zanpakutō: Kyōka Suigetsu (SSS)," "Water Style: Water Wave (S)," and "Lightning Style: Kirin (S)."
"Hajime Saito, why are most of the items Hokage-related?" Naruto asked, slightly puzzled. He had expected more variety from other anime, but here he only saw techniques from the Naruto world, plus one Zanpakutō.
Seeing Naruto's confusion, Hajime Saito explained, "This is based on your preferences and the world you are in. Since this is the Naruto world, introducing too many items from other worlds would disrupt the balance."
Naruto quickly understood. The world of Bleach was a tier above Naruto's, and bringing too many foreign elements could throw off the natural balance, potentially even endangering the Naruto world.
"That makes sense," Naruto thought, "but as long as I can get powerful items, it doesn't really matter."
Naruto's gaze landed on the Zanpakutō, Kyōka Suigetsu, his eyes glowing with desire. The three S's marked it as something beyond legendary—an artifact, and one that could easily tip the scales in this world.
"Let's keep going!" Naruto said, excitement rising.
The wheel spun again, and this time, Naruto kept his eyes glued to it, hoping for Kyōka Suigetsu. With that Zanpakutō in his hands, he would be nearly untouchable.
"Ding!"
When the wheel finally stopped, Naruto couldn't bear the suspense and closed his eyes, waiting for the results.
"Congratulations, brother, you've drawn the Zanpakutō: Kyōka Suigetsu. Your next lottery chance will be in one year."
Naruto's heart raced as the voice confirmed his luck. He had actually won! "Thank the gods, thank luck!" he exclaimed internally.
"Brother, do you want to extract the 'Zanpakutō: Kyōka Suigetsu' now?" Hajime Saito asked.
"Yes!" Naruto responded immediately, and in an instant, the sword appeared in his hand.
"It's exactly as I imagined. You won't be needed just yet, but your time to shine will come soon," Naruto promised the blade, caressing it gently.
As if responding to his words, Kyōka Suigetsu hummed softly, acknowledging Naruto as its new master.
"Hajime Saito, better store Kyōka Suigetsu for now. It'll draw too much attention if people see it before I graduate," Naruto said, frowning slightly.
"Understood, brother!" Hajime Saito responded. The sword was then placed into a storage space, ready to be summoned whenever Naruto needed it.
"Hinata, it's time to head to class!" Naruto called out to Hinata, who was still lost in thought nearby.
After spending a year together, their bond had grown stronger. Although Hinata was still shy around Naruto, she could at least face him without fainting—unless he tried to hug her, which still caused her to pass out immediately, much to Naruto's chagrin.
"Yeah, Naruto-kun!" Hinata replied as she walked alongside him towards the school.
