Chapter 2: Mission?

"Lee Hyun! Wake up or you'll be late for your first day of the Demonic Academy!"

"Ugh? Where am I?"

"You fucking scoundrel! You're in your house that's where you are!"

'My house? Demonic Academy? First day? Wait, have I actually regressed of four years back in time?!'

'If that's true, I can change everyth-'

"Stop daydreaming and wake up already!" The woman that had woke him up, immediately landed a hit on his head. "Come on! You should be glad that the young lady of our Sound Clan has chosen you as her servant! If it weren't for her, you would've never been even accepted to partecipate into the Demonic Academy! Now, go! If you keep her waiting, there's the chance that she will replace you at the academy with someone else!"

Because of the hit, he immediately snapped out of his thoughts, his attention instantly shifting onto the woman. Ryeo Hana was her name. After Lee Hyun was abandoned by his father, Lee Hwamyung, the left guardian of the Heavenly Demonic Divine Cult, for not being talented enough to take up his role in the future, he had been found by Ryeo Hana, a middle-aged woman that worked as a servant for the Sound Clan, and raised by her. He hadn't seen her in quite a while! He was so happy to see her!

"Ah, yes! Thanks, Miss Ryeo! See you! I am going to miss you a lot!" The little red-haired boy immediately said, a genuine smile on his face, and immediately rushed out of the little house. He wanted to stay and ask her a lot of things, like how she felt, if her knees were still hurting a lot... but if he had done that, he would have raised a little bit of suspicions about himself, and he couldn't absolutely permit that! If someone were ever to know about his regression, the Lord would certainly make him a laboratory rat. Things don't certainly happen without an explanation, and if that's true, the Lord, or anyone else, would surely want to know what that is and try to replicate the process for themselves. After all, who wouldn't want the ability to regress in time and correct every mistake that they have made in their life? That's why he couldn't tell even his only mother-like figure about it!

Lee Hyun had to be extremely careful!

And so, the red-haired boy left the little house, leaving Ryeo Hana all alone. "Sigh... that kid hasn't even given me a hug... we're not gonna see each other for a year more or less and all he did was smile at me and tell me that he's gonna miss me a lot... sigh..."

At the entrance of the Demonic Academy.

[All reconfiguration is now complete.]

[The game now begins!]

"Wait, what are those strange windows? I have noticed them only now, but they were present even before..."

"I wonder if others can see those to-" He was thinking before another virtual screen appeared.

[Mission!]

[Pass the first test of the Demonic Academy and get admitted into it!]

[Success Rewards: Strength +10]

[Penalty in case of failure: removing the mission and reducing physical activities for 3 days!]

"Eh, a mission? What the fuck is this? +10 strength? Is this thing saying that I'll get stronger if I get admitted into the Demonic Academy and weaker if I don't? Well, then it should be quite easy... after all I'll have just to do the same as my last ti-" Lee Hyun was throughouly thinking when a shout interrupted him.

"Hey, Lee Hyun! What the fucking are you waiting for?!" A red-headed girl was calling him out. Cheon Wonryou. "Are you gonna stare at the Demonic Academy's gate for all the day?!"

"Ah, Cheon Wonryou, I was just-" Lee Hyun turned to face her and began to say before being immediately stopped by a fist smashing his face.

"Cheon Wonryou?! Who the fuck are you to call me by my name?! You're just a fucking servant!" The red-headed girl exclaimed all angry.

Well, Lee Hyun had forgotten that he and her weren't still that close at this time. At the beggining of the academy, Cheon Wonryou only viewed him as her simple servant!

But Lee Hyun was about to change that. "S-sorry, young miss... It's just that in front of your overwhelming beauty, my mind went completely haywire and I completely forgot about everything else... in that moment, only your beauty was worth noticing..."

"Yeah, yeah..." Cheon Wonryou simply waved his hand at him, signaling him to stop. She had been courted by many guys before because of her extreme beauty. A technique like Lee Hyun's could have never worked on her! Although she had to admit that he was quite the sweet talker...

"When I saw you, the gates of the Demonic Academy disappeared... when I saw you, the sky disappeared... everything disappeared when I saw you... because my eyes couldn't help but be immediately stolen by such an angelic fig-" But Lee Hyun instead continued, and so he couldn't not get another strike from the now annoyed Cheon Wonryou. "I get it! I am beautiful! Now shut up!"

Well, perhaps he had tried too much. Guess that he couldn't change their current relationship as he wanted with just a few sweet words... sigh... well, at least he tried...

"Now, hurry up inside befo-" Cheon Wonryou was saying before a voice interrupted her.

"To all of the students! The Heavenly Demonic Divine Cult's Lord is about to give the opening speech! Please gather in the main square!"

"See? Because of you, I am being late!" Cheon Wonryou angrily exclaimed, taking Lee Hyun for the collar of his clothes and forcefully dragging him inside of the Demonic Academy. "As the future lord of the cult, I cannot absolutely be late!"

"Ahi, ahi, Cheon Wonry- I mean miss! You're chocking me!"

"Shut up already!"
