A life worth living for.

Taking place on the night right before Jude awoke and regained the memories of his past life,

On the roof of a four-story apartment complex, under the full moon, hiding in the shadows away from the eyes of others, stood a man with a dark cloak covering his body from head to toe.

His emotionless gaze rested on the small town that they had been guided to for the sake of fulfilling their goals.

"What a peaceful little town this is, but for how long?" The man said with a voice void of any emotion before turning his head to look behind him where many other men in dark cloaks similar to his own stood. "Steel yourselves, for the time is soon upon us to make things right and to change this world."

Was it for the sake of themselves or for the sake of others? Perhaps it was for the sake of the world. Whatever their reason may be, these men, who lived in the shadows away from the public eye, once again made their move to fight for what they believed in.

"Yo," Julius said as he looked at Jude with a questioning gaze on his face. "What are you doing here?"

His brown-colored sharp eyes, along with his smooth ash brown-colored hair, gave him a strong but also noble appearance, and although his face was still lacking in terms of development, given a couple more years, both his body and face would develop into one handsome package. Too bad he's denser than a brick wall.

"I came to see your face. Why don't you want to see mine?" Jude said, with a playful smile on his face, "I heard you were leaving in a couple of days. This big brother here is going to miss you."

"What are you going on about? " Julius said with a confused look on his face. "I'm much older than you"

"Heh maybe in your dreams" Jude mumbled before looking at the petite figure hiding behind his back "Too bad you're leaving. This little sis here is going to miss you as well."

Ba-Thump. Ba-Thump. Ba-Thump.

"Ah, Wawawa-"

Caught off guard, Sera couldn't help but fumble as she blushed slightly while looking at the faces of both Jude and Julius alternately.

Seeing her awkward appearance, Jude couldn't help but smile while giving her a wink whenever she turned to face him, With Julius departing soon, as the big brother Jude had to take it upon himself to play matchmaker before she lost her chance.

"Ah, Serara what's wrong?"

As for the other person in question, completely oblivious to whatever was going on, he could only look at both of them in confusion.

After meeting up with Julius and seeing as he didn't have much to do in this boring old town, the three of them decided to spend the morning walking around town and spending time with each other before Julius departed.

Seemingly out of nowhere, Julius asked Jude while they were taking a break on a bench near the park where Lily and Liam were having their lively session of strengthening their friendship.

Although Julius didn't put much thought into it when he was asking the question, to Jude the question was far more difficult to answer than one would expect.

Julius planned on becoming a knight.

Sera wants to become a priest.

Yuri dreams of becoming a 9th-star mage.

As for Lily and Liam, well, they are still too young to be thinking about the future.

Everyone has things they want to be and dreams they want to fulfill, and as for Jude,

"I don't know, I don't know what I want to do in the future, but" with a pause as he looked up at the sky "I wouldn't mind spending the rest of my life here in this small little town. I like this place a lot after all"

While watching Jude's expression, which contained a mixture of both sadness and joy, Julius could tell that his question had hit a bit of a sore spot for the black-haired teen and decided to change the topic and not ask anymore.

"...Ah, it's been a while since we last went exploring in the forest, so let's go hunting."

"Hmm, hunting? That doesn't sound too bad. Sera could come as well. "

"Isn't it too dangerous for Serara? She almost got hurt last time. "

Jude said with a teasing smile on his face before once again turning his head to look at the short blond-haired girl quietly sitting next to him. "Right, Sera, that Sir Knight over there is going to protect you."

Once again caught off guard, Sera couldn't help but fumble before turning her head down due to embarrassment.

A knight and a priest seemed like a pretty good combination, and although Jude found it a little annoying on how difficult it was to play cupid with two children, in the end, he found it quite amusing and enjoyable to watch Sera's expression and Julius's confusion.

With nothing else to do in Shura, which didn't have much in terms of entertainment, the three of them agreed to go explore the forest they often did together to break free of their boredom.

One thing to note was that even though the three of them often went exploring in the forest, that didn't exactly mean that they were allowed to go exploring in the forest. It was an adult's job to keep the little ones safe, and the forest wasn't exactly a safe place.

So their first order of business was to sneak out of town.

While the two bantered, not long after through the honorable act of baiting and tricking the adults the three were finally able to escape the eyes of the guards and arrive at the forest.

Feeling the cold air of the forest brushing against their skin, the three of them could help but feel nostalgic.

"Hmm."

"What's wrong?"

"No, I just have a bad feeling about something."

Jude, shaking his head from the slight discomfort he felt, proceeded on with his guard slightly up.

"It's been a while since we've been here. So let's make the most of it."

Following Jude, the other two nodded their heads in agreement before heading deeper into the forest.
