“Wakey. Wakey.”
A familiar voice rings in my ears as I sit in the darkness. I couldn’t see. I couldn’t feel. I couldn’t understand.
“Where am I?” I thought.
I tried to move. Tried. A sharp heat quickly lined my back in excruciating pain. I wanted to scream, but I couldn’t. It was like my mouth was sown shut.
I felt a soft thump on my leg as if someone had kicked me. Feeling started to return to my body. I was sore. Extremely sore. Stiff. I felt like I was spinning.
“What the-“ I began.
A loud boom could be heard in the distance. My ears were still ring; however, I could hear more clearly now. The grinding and bending of metal and debris could be heard all around. I twitched in fear as another loud crash sounded.
“Jannnicceee,” the voice rang.
I began to open my eyes. The pain I was enduring was damn near unbearable. My vision, blurred, was blinded by a sea of crimson red. My mind was beginning to race. I couldn’t quite put it together at first, then…..
