"There has to be more to this dress." Rebekah complained coming out of the dressing room.
"There's not." Klaus said drinking his champagne. She came out of the fitting room. She was wearing a short, black dress.
"So women in the 21st century dress like prostitutes, then. You know, I got dirty looks for wearing trousers." She said looking at Klaus.
"You wore trousers so women today could wear nothing." Klaus said trying to make her feel better.
"And what is this music? It sounds like a cable car accident." She said disgusted. "
It's dance music." Stefan clarified for her.
"People dance to this?" She asked shocked.
"Hmm." Stefan hummed.
"Are we done?" Klaus asked annoyed.
"No not until Myra tries on a dress." Rebekah said looking at me. I shook my head.
"Oh come on."
"I'm being used as your brother's personal witch so I can protect my family and friends from being killed, and you want me to try on a dress?" I asked her. She nodded with a smile.
"And we're not leaving until you do." Rebekah added. I sighed and got up to go look for a dress.
"Stefan, come help me find a dress." I said motioning for him to follow me. He got up and walked with me to the dress section of the store.
"If I have to listen to those to fight one more time, I'm going to kill myself."
"And leave me all alone? You can't!" He said mockingly. I rolled my eyes and started looking through dresses.
"How about this?" I asked holding out a long, sleeveless, black dress.
"Too long." He said shaking his head. I put it back and found another dress.
"How about this one?" I asked holding out a knee-length, sleeveless, flowery dress.
"Too flowery." He said. I rolled my eyes and put it back. I kept looking until I found a really pretty dress. It was a knee-length, velvety, black dress with designs in the back.
"And this?" I asked holding it up.
"Why don't you try it on?" I nodded. We walked back to the others.
"Alright, she found a dress."
"Perfect! Go try it on!" Rebekah said happily. I walked into the dressing room and put the dress on. I walked out and showed them.
"So?" I asked them with the dress on. I turned around so they could see the back.
"Oh my God..It's beautiful. I love it." Rebekah said with a smile.
"Stefan, what do you think?"
"I think she looks beautiful." He said looking at me. I looked down before looking at Rebekah.
"Alright. I picked a dress. Can we go now?" I asked her.
"No. We have more stuff to try on." She said grabbing my hand. I looked at Stefan with a "Please help me" look. He laughed.
"Rebekah, why are you making me try on so many clothes?" I asked her grumpily.
"Because, since you're staying here with me, my brother, and Stefan, and you left everything behind in Mystic Falls, you're going to need some new clothes." She said with a smile.
I sighed, and she handed me about five pounds of clothing. After trying everything on, I walked back out in my regular clothes to find it was only Klaus there.
"Where's Stefan?" I asked him.
"You're lover boy is getting some fresh air." I looked at him and rolled my eyes.
"We are not lovers. We are friends..who have kissed twice." I told him scratching the back of my head.
"You and Stefan?" Rebekah asked a little upset. I smiled and looked down.
"I wish there was a me and Stefan. But, there isn't." I told her. She nodded.
"So that means he's single." She said with a smile. I rolled my eyes and waited for Stefan to come back through that door, but he never did.
"Alright, well can we just get to Gloria's and he can meet us there?"
"Yes, dear sister, we can go. Finally." Klaus said rolling his eyes. We were at Gloria's bar. It was different then I had thought it would be. It has a more rustic and old-time feel to it. Gloria was sitting at a table, her hands floated above a large tome on a table filled with candles. Klaus, Rebekah and I were at the bar, waiting for her to find this necklace that Rebekah lost over a hundred years ago. Apparently, it's an important part to Klaus making hybrids. As I was downing my glass of bourbon, Stefan walked into the bar.
"You left us." Rebekah said with an upset face.
"Yeah, sorry. Retail therapy was making my head explode." Stefan said walking past Rebekah.
"Tell me about it." Klaus said earning a glare from Rebekah. Stefan then looked at Gloria.
"What's she doing?" Stefan asked.
"She's failing." Klaus said annoyed.
"It's hard to find something when you don't have anything to go on." Gloria said with her eyes closed. "So use me. I only wore it for a thousand years." Rebekah suggested. Gloria opened her eyes and looked at Rebekah.
"See? Now this one offers a solution." Gloria said looking at Klaus. Rebekah sat on the table.
"All right, give me your hand, sweetheart."
Rebekah did as she was told.
"She's, uh..she's looking for the necklace, huh?" Stefan said, a bit on edge. I looked at him confused. He mouthed to me
"Elena's necklace." I looked at him with widened eyes, now knowing the necklace Rebekah is looking for is the necklace Stefan gave to Elena.
"I can sense something." Gloria said concentrating on Rebekah.
"Anta Cotis Syrum, Anta Cotis Syrum .." Gloria dropped Rebekah's hand and looked at Klaus and Stefan.
"I found it."
"So where is it?" Rebekah asked.
"It doesn't work like that, doll. I get images. There's a girl with her friends ..." Gloria said. Elena, with Caroline and Bonnie. Oh my God ...
"Yes, a dead girl with dead friends, if I don't get my necklace back." Rebekah said angrily.
"Well, I'll have to dive back in to get the details." Gloria said.
"So dive." Klaus said.
"She needs more time ... and space. Same with me. It comes when it comes." I told him. Gloria nodded.
"Listen to the little witch." Gloria said motioning me.
"Ugh.witches." Klaus said annoyed.
"Shush. You're harshing my ju-ju." Gloria said making him back up.
"We can wait." Klaus said with a smile.
"I'm sure you can. But that's not what I asked." Gloria told him.
"Hey. Hey, you know, why don't we just come back later. I'm hungry anyway. I'll let you pick who we eat." Stefan said making me think of when I saw him that night he left with Klaus, ripping apart the blood bags with bloods all around his mouth.
"I'll just stay here." I told them. Klaus looked at me skeptically.
"I'm not going to run. You made it perfectly clear what would happen if I did."
"Alright love. We'll be back." He said as he, his sister, and Stefan walked out of the bar.
"Well I'll be back." Gloria said standing up.
"Where are you going?" I asked her.
"Home, to grab a few things. I'll be back soon." She said. She grabbed her things and walked out, locking the door behind her. I quickly searched for a phone, anything I could find. Eventually, I found a land line behind the bar. I smiled and picked it up, dialing my dad's number.
"Hello?" I heard him say. I smiled.
"Dad ... I'm okay ..." I said into the phone.
"Myra! I never thought I would hear from you again! Tell me where you are! I'm coming right now." He said quickly.
"No no no! You can't! Klaus said he will come to Mystic Falls and kill everyone I love, starting with you if I try to run. And nobody I love is going to die. So please, just know that the second I'm allowed to leave, I will. I will come home. " I told him.
"Okay. But be safe, and don't trust Klaus or Stefan." He demanded.
"Dad, but Stefan--"
"No! He almost killed you! Do not trust him! Do you hear me?" He said. I sighed.
"Alright dad." I said.
"I'm going to be okay. I promise." Suddenly, I heard the front door open.
"I have to go. I love you." I said in a whispering tone, hanging up the phone. I grabbed a glass and the bourbon and poured some in the glass. I picked it up and started drinking it as Stefan walked in the bar, alone. I looked at him confused.
"What are you doing here? I thought you were feeding with Klaus and Rebekah."
"Coming to see what you're up to." He said with a smirk.
"Why did you stay behind?"
"Well, I prefer not to watch you suck the blood out an innocent human being. "I said looking at him.
" Why? I'm a vampire. It's in my nature. "Stefan said sitting at one of the seats at the bar that were in front of me.
" But it's not you, Stefan. Not the Stefan that I know. "I told him taking another sip of my drink.
" You told me that I don't have to pretend with you. Well, you don't have to pretend with me.
"I said putting my hand on his. He looked down at our hands before looking up at me. He then intertwined our fingers together, making me smile.
" I know. "He said smiling. When we heard the door open, we pulled our hands away. It was Gloria.
"Thought you were resting." Stefan said standing up.
"Well, now we both have a secret." Gloria said causing me to furrow my brows.
"What did you see?" Stefan asked curiously.
"It's what I heard that's interesting. You know, the girls with the necklace, they were talking about you, both of you.
"Gloria said looking from Stefan to me.
" Yet you didn't tell Klaus. Why? "Stefan asked him."
"Cause I wouldn't help that hybrid half-breed with anything. The necklace is a talisman from the original witch herself. I want it." Gloria said.
"Well, I'm sorry. I can't help you." Stefan told her. She looked at me, and I shook my head.
"Don't be difficult. You know, I'd hate to have to tell Klaus what a liar his sidekick is." Gloria threatened. He rushed over to her, but she turned her head, looked at him, and he stopped and grabbed his head in pain.
"Guess I've got to get it out of you the hard way, huh?" He fell to the floor unconscious.
"Stefan!" I ran over to him and flipped him on his back. I grabbed the sides of his face and shook it, but he wouldn't wake up.
"Oh honey ..." Gloria said causing me to look at her.
"The sooner you realize it the better. Love is a weakness. "She said before raising her hands towards me and causing me to go unconscious. I heard muffled screams. Stefan's screams. My eyes shot open and I saw Gloria with her hands on Stefan's chest, causing his skin to burn and him to scream out in pain. I tried to get to him, but I was trapped in an invisible barrier. I tried to use a spell to break it, but the spell was too strong.
"There you go, there you go." Gloria said closing her eyes.
"There's the girl with the necklace. You love her. You'd do anything for her. And you have. A lot of darkness, a lot of guilt. All to keep her away from Klaus. Why would he be interested in one girl? "Gloria asked.
" Don't do this. Don't do this. "Stefan said groaning.
" She's the doppelganger. She's supposed to be dead, and that's why Klaus can't make hybrids, isn't it? "She said laughing. I then looked past her and saw ... of course, Katherine.
" This is creepy. "Katherine said weirded out. Gloria turned around. Katherine was beside her and she put a stake through her neck. Gloria fell on the floor, dead. The barrier broke, and I ran over to Stefan.
"Maybe you do need my help, after all." Katherine said with a smirk. I ignored her and looked down at Stefan who's chest was slowly healing. I grabbed a knife off one of the tables, and a cup from behind the bar. I held my wrist over the cup and slit my hand open I winced in pain and let the blood fall into the cup. When I thought it was enough, I put the knife down and ran over to him, handing him the cup.
"Here. Drink. "I said handing him the cup. I grabbed a napkin and wrapped it around my hand to try and stop the bleeding. He looked at the cup and veins appeared under his bloodshot eyes. He drank the blood and put the glass on the table. His veins started to go away, and he started to heal quicker.
"First question, are you okay? And second question, what the hell is she doing here? "I asked looking at him but pointing at Katherine.
" Yes, I'll be fine. And Katherine has been following us. And this morning I saw her. "Stefan said.
" You mean when you were getting 'air'? "I asked him. He nodded.
" Well, we need to clean this up before Klaus gets back and figures out what happened. " He nodded. I grabbed his shirt which was on the floor.
"Here." I handed it to him. I looked over at Katherine who looked at us confused.
"When did this happen?" She asked pointing between us.
"What? "I asked playing dumb. She gave me a 'seriously?' look.
"Oh come on. The sexual tension in here is higher than Mt. Everest. "She said with a scoff.
" Nothing has happened. And nothing will happen. "I said looking at Stefan, who gave a disappointed nod.
" Right. "Katherine said not believing it.
As Stefan wrapped up Gloria's body, I went to the bathroom to wash Stefan's blood off my hands. As I was washing them, I stopped and looked at myself in the mirror.
"Nothing can happen between Stefan and I. He still loves Elena. And I won't be his rebound girl. I deserve better than that. "I thought to myself. I sighed and dried my hands. I grabbed a hair tie from my wrist and put my hair up to get it out of my face. As I walked out of the bathroom, I saw Stefan headed towards the front door, with Gloria's body, all wrapped up, on his shoulder. He saw me and motioned for me to go with me. I sighed and walked out with him. Stefan took care of Gloria's body, and we were at he warehouse where Klaus's other family members were being kept. Stefan walked quicker than I did, and I knew he was upset at what I said earlier. When I finally caught up to him in the warehouse, I saw him kissing Rebekah. My heart shattered until I saw him pull away.
"Do you think you'll ever love anyone like you loved that girl?" Rebekah asked talking about Elena.
"One day, maybe." Stefan said, finally noticing me. He looked at me and looked down before looking back Rebekah, who hadn't noticed I was there.
"I can always tell when you're lying, Stefan." Rebekah said.
"What? I'm not ..." Stefan said shaking his head.
"Don't bother. Your kiss already gave you away." She said. Suddenly, Klaus walked in quickly.
"Gloria's gone. She's cleared out. Myra will have to do it. Where is she?" Klaus asked. He stopped and looked at them.
"What's going on?"
"Something's wrong. He was asking about Michael. He's not with us, Nik. I can sense it." Rebekah said backing away from him and standing next to Klaus.
"She's wrong. Klaus ..." Stefan said shaking his head. The next thing I know, Stefan is on the floor unconscious. I put my hand over my mouth in shock, bit I shouldn't have, because then Klaus looked towards me.
In seconds, he was right in front of me. He grabbed the sides of my head and banged it against something causing me to go unconscious.
*time skip*
"Myra. ..Myr.. Myr..wake up..please come on..wake up .." I heard a familiar voice say. I started to open my eyes and I saw Stefan hovering over me.
"Good you're awake. You need to get started on figuring out where Rebekah's necklace is." Klaus said to me. I looked around and saw we were inside the back of a truck, which was filled with the coffins.
"Just give me a chance to explain myself, okay?" Stefan begged.
"No need. I'm not mad, I'm just curious. Rebekah seems to think you're holding onto something. A piece of your old life. The thing is, she's got flawless instincts, borderline supernatural. So I thought I would check it out. See for myself what it is you've been hiding. " Klaus said to Stefan. He opened the back of the truck.
" Welcome back to Mystic Falls. "
