Chapter 11

"Wait a minute ... Katherine is out of the tomb?" I asked Stefan, who was explaining to Bonnie, Jeremy, and I that Katherine was at the Boarding House this morning. I opened my locker and started to grab my books out of it.

"Yeah. We're dealing with it, all right? Just be extra careful. She's gotten a little too good at impersonating Elena." Stefan said with a hint of regret in his voice.

"With Katherine still around, we gotta find a way to get your powers back." Jeremy said looking at Bonnie.

"Listen, I want to get the Martins on our side. I want to figure out a way for us all to work together now that Elijah's out of the picture." Stefan told us.

"It's impossible. They hate us." Bonnie argued.

"It's either win them over or somebody's going to end up dead. You think you can at least convince them to have a civil conversation?" Stefan asked Bonnie.

"I'll try." She said with a sigh.

"Thanks. Keep me posted." Stefan said before looking at me.

He was about to say something, but he closed his mouth and walked away. I furrowed my brows in confusion at his actions and looked to Bonnie and Jeremy.

"Was it something I said? Because I literally said like one thing." I said confused.

"No. Well, .did anything happen between you guys in the last couple days?" Jeremy asked me.

"Last night, I found out Stefan's best friend died so I tried to make him feel better. We played some cards and then I went home. That's it." I explained.

"Then, I have no idea." Jeremy said with a sigh.

"It kinda reminds me of the" I really want to talk you, but I think it's best I should keep my mouth shut "face." I looked at her confused and shocked.

"What?" She asked confused.

"Nothing." I said sighing.

"I'll worry about Stefan later." Just then, the bell rang.

"I have to get to class. I'll see you guys later." I said closing my locker. They nodded, and I walked off. I suddenly remembered I forgot one of my books in my locker. When I turned around, I saw Bonnie and Jeremy kissing.

"Oh my gosh ..." They both turned to me and their eyes widened.

"Myra, we can-" They started.

"It's about damn time." I said with a smile. I walked up to both of them and hugged them.

"Oh! I'm so happy for you guys!" I pulled away from them. I pointed to Jeremy.

"You, don't hurt her. She's practically my best friend." I turned to Bonnie.

"And you, don't hurt him. He's practically my little brother." I looked at both of them.

"Ahhh!" I said with a big smile. I hugged them again and pulled away before the tardy bell rang.

"Uh oh. I gotta go. We are talking later." I said saying the last part while looking at Bonnie. I walked to class and started off the school day. Right now, Caroline, Bonnie, Elena and I were at Elena's house in the kitchen. We were having a girls' night, since we haven't all hung out in a while.

"Chinese food or pizza?" Caroline asked us. I scoffed.

"Like you have to ask." I said with a smile.

"I will get it." Caroline said with a laugh. She got up and picked up her tablet and in doing so, she saw a picture of her and Matt. Her face immediately became sad.

"I'll do it." Bonnie said taking the tablet away from Caroline.

"Do you believe that Jonas is being sincere?" Elena asked us.

"I don't know what to believe." I said shrugging my shoulders.

"I think he's at a loss. He's not sure who to trust." Bonnie pointed out.

"Join the club." Elena said with a scoff. I chuckled at that.

"Well, what are we going to do about this movie situation? What about" The Notebook "?" Caroline asked. I looked at her and smirked.

"Caroline, how many times have you seen that movie?" I asked her crossing my arms.

"That is so not the point." She said. Bonnie, Elena, and I started laughing and Caroline sighed.

"What? It's a good movie." "Well, yeah, I mean .." I was cut off my Jenna entering the kitchen. I immediately felt awkward seeing as my dad and her aren't together anymore.

"Hey." Elena said to Jenna.

"What's going on?" She asked us.

"Girls' night." Elena said with a smile.

"Oh." Jenna said.

"How are you doing?" Elena asked her.

"You heard about my fight with Ric." Jenna said with a sigh.

"He feels terrible." I told her.

"Is this some kind of disguised attempt to cheer me up?" She asked. Elena looked towards us.

"No. No, this is about us girls hanging out and you know, we'll be here if you happen to want to talk, or ..."

"Because I am a winner when it comes to successful relationships. ' Caroline said with a sigh. I looked at her. She had no idea what a unsuccessful relationship is.

"You, too?" Jenna asked.

"You have no idea." Caroline said with a scoff.

"Okay, then." Jenna said joining us. She opened the fridge and grabbed a beer.

"It's this whole Isobel thing. He's hiding something from me. And Myra, if you know something, feel free to say. "

"Whatever it is, I'm in the dark too." I lied.

"To play devil's advocate, maybe there is a great reason why he's not telling you. Maybe he is just trying to protect you." Caroline said. I looked at her and smiled.

"Well, that's not his call to make. I mean, I deserve the truth. Everybody does." Jenna said annoyed.

"Sometimes it's harder than that." Caroline added.

"Not if it's somebody you care about, it isn't." Jenna said with a sigh.

"You know what we need? Dancing. There is a band at the Grill." Caroline said with a smile.

"I'm in." Bonnie said instantly.

"In." Jenna said with a smile.

"In." Elena and I said at the same time. We smiled before Caroline clapped her hands with delight. Since Bonnie gave me a ride here, we all went in her car as we drove to the Grill. We walked into the Grill and immediately saw my dad, and I guess Jenna did too because she immediately sighed and turned to us.

"I need a drink." She said walking to the bar. I looked next to us and saw Matt.

"Hey, Matt." I said with a wave. He looked up and smiled at me before returning a 'Hey'. He looked next to me and saw Caroline before he sighed and walked past us.

"Things just got real awkward." Bonnie said with a sigh.

"He said the ball's in your court." I told Caroline.

"Yeah, but I can't do anything about it." She said looking at Matt while talking to us.

"Why not? All you do is talk about how much you care about him." Bonnie pointed up. I nodded.

"Yeah, but I am still keeping so many secrets." She said with an upset voice.

"Alaric's in the same boat with Jenna and maybe that's all of our mistake. We're trying to protect the people that we love by keeping them out of it, but in the end, we're hurting them anyway." Elena added. Caroline just suddenly took her jacket off and handed it to me.

"What are you doing? Where are you going?" I asked her as she walked away. She went on the stage and took the microphone.

"Hey, everybody. Let's hear it for the band! Weren't they awesome?" Caroline asked from the microphone on stage. She started clapping so everyone else did.

"So there's this guy. And, uh, he told me to tell him how I feel about him. Like it's so easy. Um, you know, just 'cause I talk a lot doesn't mean I always know what I'm actually talking about. Ah, like now, I'm feeling loopy and I don't really know how to express myself. " The singer went to gently take the microphone away from Caroline, but she looked at him and he decided not to. She compelled him. I rolled my eyes.

"I can sing. Yeah! Yeah. You know what, I'm going to sing." I looked over at Bonnie and Elena.

"Is she really about to sing?" I asked them.

"I think she is." Bonnie said just as shocked as I was. Caroline then whispered something in the singer's hear, and the singer and the band started playing their instruments. I immediately recognized the song, "Eternal Flame".

"Go Caroline! Whooo!" I yelled earning a smile from her on stage. I gave her a smile and a thumbs up. Then she started singing. "Damn, that girl can sing." I said with laugh. "She's good!" Jenna said to Elena. "Yeah!" Elena said with a smile. After the song was over, Matt joined Caroline on stage.

"Matt ... I .." Caroline said close enough to the mic that we heard her. He cut her off and kissed her.

"Whoooo !!!!" Bonnie, Elena, and I screamed for Caroline and Matt. I was talking to a couple people from school when suddenly the power went out and everything was black.

"I'll be right back." I said. I quickly made my way to find Bonnie, Elena, or Caroline.

As I was walking, I saw Stefan and Elena head towards the bathroom. I quickly pushed through the people and walked into the girl's bathroom where Stefan, Elena, and Caroline were.

"What is going on?" "Jonas is here, and he's after Elena." Stefan said. My eyes widened.

"Oh my gosh. What do we do?" I asked him. He explained the plan. I had to go find Bonnie and Caroline had to distract Jonas. I ran out of the bathroom and saw Bonnie unconscious on the floor.

"Bonnie!" I yelled. I ran over to her and leaned down next to her.

"Bonnie! Bonnie! Hey, Bonnie!" She started to wake up.

"Oh thank god. Ok come on." I said helping her up. We walked outside the Grill and towards Bonnie's car. Bonnie gave me her keys. I helped her in the passenger seat of her car and got in the driver's seat. I started to drive and soon we arrived at the Gilbert household. We walked inside and walked towards the kitchen. Jeremy walked from the kitchen and ran towards Bonnie, hugging her.

"I'm okay too." I said jokingly. He smiled and gave me a hug. We walked into the kitchen, and Bonnie and Jeremy sat at the table. I got Bonnie a bottle of water from the fridge and handed it to her. She muttered a "Thanks'." Luka..I can't believe he's dead. After what we did to him. "

Bonnie said with a sigh.

" No, after what he did to you. Look, I'm sorry, I know you feel bad about all of this but I don't. "Jeremy said causing me to look at them.

Jeremy slid his hand into her's, and my heart melted a little at the new couple.

"I couldn't do anything to help. I was useless. I hated it." Bonnie said. I sighed before the front door opened. I walked into the hall and saw Stefan and Elena.

"Thank God." I said running to Elena and giving her a hug, and instantly pulling away realizing it wasn't Elena. Stefan put his finger over his mouth signaling for me to not say anything. I nodded.

"It's not over yet." Katherine said.

"What's going on?" Jeremy asked.

"He'll explain." Katherine said to us before she went upstairs. I grabbed Stefan's arm and dragged him into the living room.

"What the hell is she doing here?" I asked him in a whisper.

"Jonas is in the house. She is posing as Elena so Elena is safe." Stefan explained. I sighed.

"Fine. But you should have told me." I said. He sighed and looked down before turning to walk away.

"Hey." I said causing him to turn around.

"What the hell is up with you? First at school, now this ... Are you ignoring me or something? Did I do something wrong?"

"No no no ... It's not you. It's me." He said. I furrowed my brows.

"I think I need some space ... from you." I scoffed.

"Whatever I did to piss you off, I'm sorry. But don't tell me it's not me, it's you and then say you need 'space'. That's a real dick move." I said walking away from him. I heard something going on upstairs. I quickly moved up the stairs and to the bathroom, with Bonnie, Jeremy, and Stefan behind me. I walked into the bathroom and saw a dead Jonas on the bathroom floor with blood coming from his neck. I looked up at Katherine and saw her licking her lips.

"You're welcome." Katherine said. Bonnie went towards Jonas's body.

"You didn't have to kill him!" Bonnie said looking up at Katherine.

"Yes, we did." Katherine shot back.

Bonnie got closer to him and went close to his eyes, but suddenly, he got up and grabbed her face. She screamed. Stefan kneeled down and snapped his neck, killing him. I walked down the stairs after going to the bathroom and found Stefan, Damon, and Elena talking. I walked past them and out the door, wanting to give Stefan his "space." I then realized that I didn't drive my car here, and I had no way of getting home. I walked back inside.

"Hey Elena, do you mind if I stay the night? My phone's dead, I don't have my car, and my dad is God knows where." I told her.

"Yeah. Sure. I'll get you some clothes." She said going up the stairs, leaving me with the two brothers. I couldn't bare the tense atmosphere, so I went up the stairs and joined Elena.

3RD POV

Stefan watched as Myra went up the stairs, clearly still upset with him.

"What did you do?" Damon asked his brother.

"Because it definitely wasn't me." "I told her I needed some space away from her. I obviously didn't tell her why, but I told her it was me, not her." Damon started laughing.

"Wow, thanks." Stefan said to his jack-ass of an older brother.

"Oh brother. You definitely don't know how to talk to girls." Damon said patting his brother's shoulder.

"Now she's pissed at you, but she also feels she did something wrong, so she's not going to talk to you again, unless you talk to her and fix it."

"But I can't talk to her. Because every time she walks into the room, it makes me feel like I'm cheating on Elena by just looking at her. And I love Elena." Damon sighed at his brother's confession.

"Well then you've made your decision. Sometime's you can't have both." Damon said to his brother.

My dad dropped Jenna off at home a little later. I told him I was going to stay with Elena tonight still, and asked him if he could pick me up in the morning. He told me it was fine. It was late now and Jenna was in the kitchen, eating ice cream. Elena and I joined her.

"Are John and Jeremy asleep?" Jenna asked.

"I think so." Elena said.

"Thanks for letting me stay over, Jenna. And I'm sorry about you and my dad." I said with a sigh.

"It's fine. When he's ready to tell me the truth, I'll be ready. But I can't just wait around for someone who lies to me." I nodded at her reasoning.

"I'm sure he'll tell you when he's ready." She nodded and sighed.

"If I go to bed right now, there's a chance I'll wake up hangover-free." She said.

Elena and I laughed. Suddenly the door bell rang.

"Who's that?" Jenna asked. Elena and I shrugged our shoulders. Jenna got up and opened the door.

"Hi. You must be Jenna." My eyes widened along with Elena's. We walked towards the hall and saw Isobel standing there.

"I'm ... Elena's and Myra's mother." Jenna turned to both of us, tears coming from her widened eyes.

"Isobel." Elena and I said at the same time. We looked at each other before looking at Isobel once more.

"Hello, Elena and Myra, It's nice to see you two again." She said with a slight smile.

Jenna's eyes widened.

"Again?"

"So you're the woman who's dating my husband." Jenna turned back to Isobel.

"I need to speak to Elena and Myra. May I come in?"

"N-n-no. Don't ... don't invite her in." I said moving towards the door.

"I need to talk to you, Myra." She said.

"Don't ever call me that again." I said slamming the door in her face. I looked at Jenna who was crying.

"You knew she was still alive?" She asked me. I sighed.

"You too?" She said looking at Elena.

"Ric? John? Did they know?"

"We can explain everything, Jenna." Elena pleaded.

"No." Jenna said moving towards the stairs.

"No. Jenna, please." Elena said as Jenna ran up the stairs. Elena followed her. Tears started to come from my eyes. The one thing that has always made me feel like this is Isobel. She makes me feel like I'm nothing to her, and she was the woman who raised me. Elena came down the stairs sighing.

"Jenna won't talk to me."

"Yeah, well that's Isobel for you. Messing up everyone's lives." I said wiping my tears. Elena saw this and came up and hugged me.

"It's gonna be okay. We're gonna get through this." She pulled away and looked at me.

"Together. Okay? Because you know what we are?" I smiled.

"Sisters."

"No matter what." She said with a smile.

I nodded and sighed. It's the next morning and my dad was coming over to the Gilbert's. Elena and I were sitting in the living room waiting for him to arrive. Suddenly, there was a knock at the door. Elena got up to open the door, while I stayed on the couch.

"Hey. Is Jenna up yet?" I heard my dad ask.

"She won't come out of her room." Elena told him. I blanked out of their conversation and my eyes slowly started to close because of how exhausted I was.

"Myra?" I snapped my eyes open at my dad's voice. I looked at him with my tired eyes.

"Are you okay?" He asked moving towards me.

"Didn't get any sleep last night." I said standing up.

"I think you know why." He nodded and came over and hugged me. He squeezed me tight and rubbed my back.

"I'm sorry. I never wanted this for you." He said pulling away. I nodded and sighed.

"I know. But it's the life I have, so there's nothing I can do." I said. I sighed as Jenna came down the stairs.

"Hey." Elena said to Jenna.

"Jenna." My dad said with a sigh.

"I don't want you here, Ric. You need to go." Jenna said angrily.

"Okay, listen. I can't begin to imagine what you must be feeling right now." My dad said trying to reason with her.

"Rage and betrayal would pretty much cover it." She said with an attitude. She put on her jacket and took her bag.

"Where are you going?" Elena asked her.

"I'm going to stay on campus. I have a thesis to write, and I don't want to be in this house." She said annoyed.

"Jenna, please just stop. Let us explain to you exactly what is going on." My dad pleaded. She ignored him.

"Elena, I need you to go to Lockwood's today and accept the Historical Society's check for your mom's foundation." She said opening the door.

"Okay, but, Jenna, please just .."

"I don't have it in me to hear any more lies from you." Jenna said cutting Elena off. She sighed and closed the door, leaving.

"Jenna, just ..." Elena said going for the door. John then came out of the kitchen.

"Let her go. It's better that she's not here, what with everything that's going on but maybe had you been a little more honest with her from the beginning, this ..." He said trailing off. Suddenly, my dad punched him straight in the jaw. I covered my mouth to keep from laughing.

"Sorry, Elena." My dad said with a long breath out. He looked at me.

"Grab your things. We're leaving." I nodded. I grabbed my bag and turned to Elena.

"Call me if you need me." She nodded, and I walked out with my dad. My dad took me to get some breakfast at a local diner. I just needed a break from Isobel and everything else. We just finished and we were heading to his car. When we got there, the bitch herself was there.

"Hi, Ric. Myra." She said looking at us both.

"Isobel. What do you want?" My dad asked.

"Just cleaning up some loose ends." She said with a sigh.

"Yeah, we don't have any loose ends." My dad said, but I interrupted him.

"No, you know what? I do. I have something to say to you." I paused before continuing.

"I loved you, you were my mother. And then you went missing. I thought you were dead for years." I said with tears coming out of my eyes.

"And then, you show up and tell me how you don't want to be a part of my life anymore and how you want nothing to do with me. You ruined my life. You're the reason I hate my life. You 're the reason I cry. You brought me into the world of vampires when you died. I've almost died countless of times, but of course you wouldn't know that. My boyfriend died because of a vampire! " Her eyes widened.

"Yeah, of course you didn't know." I said scoffing.

"You do not get to come here and try and fix things. Now get the hell away from me and my father." I said using the aneurysm spell on her. She groaned and fell to the floor. I felt my anger bubbling up inside making my powers grow.

"Okay, Myra that's enough." My dad said.

"No. She deserves more." I said using more of my powers to make it hurt even more. She screamed out in pain as she clutched the sides of her head.

"Myra!" My dad yelled. I stopped the spell and looked at him.

"That's enough!" I sighed and stepped back towards him.

"I need to apologize to you." Isobel said standing up.

"It's a little late for that." My dad said angrily.

"No, not for what I've done in the past. We're beyond that. Although I am sorry for outing you to your girlfriend. That was petty of me." She said with a laugh. I moved towards her, but my dad stopped me.

"Look, whatever jacked-up vampire amends that you're trying to make with us right now, we're not interested." My dad said opening his car door.

"Of course not, because I compelled you to let me go." She said to my dad. She looked at me.

"I didn't have to do it to you. You hate me, which is how it has to be." She sighed.

"But, I realize that I don't want to do what I have to do without you knowing how much I loved you and I did. I loved you so much." She said to my dad. She looked at me.

"I loved both of you. Myra, you weren't my daughter, but I treated you like you were because.well, you were, and I loved you, so much." She sighed.

"He's all yours. When she's out, put her in the truck." I turned to my dad confused before he fell to the floor. I looked behind me and there was some man standing there.

"Hey, what the-" I was cut off by a sharp pain in my head that caused me to fall, unconscious.

"Myra...Myra..., wake up." I heard someone say in a muffled voice. I opened my eyes and saw Elena looking down at me and smiling as I woke up.

"Good, you're up." I heard Isobel say. I sat up and saw a man driving and her in the passenger seat.

****time skip***

"What do you want with us?" I asked her. She didn't answer. We pulled into the Grove Hill Cemetery, where she was buried. The man got out of the driver's seat, and opened the side door for Isobel to get out of the car.

"Just because you can't be compelled doesn't mean I can't force you two to come with me." She said with the man behind her. We sighed and got out of the car.

"So is that what happened? You were compelled to betray Katherine?" Elena asked confused.

"If I was, I couldn't tell you." She said shrugging her shoulders.

"So you lied. You did find Klaus, didn't you? He knows where I am now. Are you taking me to him?" Elena asked. Isobel didn't answer but instead walked to a tombstone and crouched down in front of it.

"What is this?" Isobel cleared some leaves from the tombstone. It read

"In loving memory - Isobel Flemming - Jan 18, 1978 - May 4, 2007."

"It's her tombstone." I said clearing my throat.

"My parents, your grandparents, they put it here when it became clear that the police weren't gonna find my body. They visit every week, and they bring flowers, even though there's no one buried here. The Isobel they knew is dead So maybe there's a part of me that's buried here, the-the human part, the part that I abandoned when I-when I choose to become a vampire, the part that used to dream about the day that she'd know her other daughter. The one who loved you and your father, Myra. " She said. I looked at her.

"What?" Elena said. Isobel shrugged.

"And instead you got to meet the other part ... The part that would betray her own flesh and blood." She said looking at me. I looked down, not wanting to look at her. Isobel phone rang. She answered.

"Yes." She said after a while.

"Let them go?" I looked at Elena surprised.

"I'm done?" She asked relieved. She then hung up moments later.

"Who was that?" Elena asked.

"I'm so sorry, to the two of you. I was such a disappointment to you both. "She said with a sad sigh. She then pulled of her necklace and started burning in the sunlight. She screamed as she bursted into flames, and fell to the ground in front of her grave. I looked down at her burnt body with shock. I knelt down and picked up the necklace she had. I held it in my hand while I looked at Elena.

"We have to get out of here." She said. I nodded and called Damon to come get us. Damon, Elena, and I were walking into the Boarding House. Once we got to the living room, I saw Stefan standing there with a worried face. He looked at me with sad eyes before Elena went up to him and hugged him.

"Alright, now are you sure my dad's okay? "I asked turning towards Damon.

" Yeah, he just texted me and said he was fine. He said he wanted you to stay here for a while and to not come to the house so to make sure everything's clearing down. He said he'll be okay. "Damon explained.

" I'll just stay at Bonnie's. I don't want to be a bother. "I said grabbing my arm.

" Is this about Stefan? "Damon whispered to me. I looked at him and sighed before nodding.

" Don't worry. I'll protect you. "He said with a smirk. I playfully shoved him.

" I just don't want to talk to him right now. "I told Damon.

" Well then just ignore him. It's what I do. "I gave him a smile and nodded.

" Okay. I'll stay here. I just need a room, you know one of the six hundred in this house. "I said sarcastically.

" We can do it later. "I turned back around and saw Stefan and Elena kissing. I turned back to Damon.

" Or we can do it now. "I said grabbing his arm, pulling him with me upstairs. He brought me to a room. It was perfect.

" Thanks for letting me stay here. "

" Sure. What are friends for right? "He asked with a smile. I nodded and smiled.

"I like this Damon. He's pretty cool." I said with a smirk.

"I know." He said smirking. I rolled my eyes and sighed.

"So how are you dealing? You know, with Stefan and Elena." I asked him.

"As well as I can." He said sitting in one of the chairs.

"How are you doing?"

"As well as I can." I said shrugging my shoulders.

"I was fine with being Stefan's friend. Now he doesn't even want me in his life anymore."

"Now who wouldn't want you in their life?" Damon asked. I looked up at him and smirked.

"Be careful Damon, or I might think you actually care about me." I said with a smile.

"I can't pretend around you, I don't know why, but I just ... can't." He said with a hint of upset in his voice.

"It's called trust and respect. You trust and respect me because I trust and respect you." He gave me a smile.

"Even though you do really stupid things sometimes."

"And you ruined the moment." I laughed at his remark.

"Alright, I'm sure Stefan and Elena are done swallowing each other whole now, so let's head back downstairs. I have to give Elena something." I nodded as we walked out of the room and down the stairs.

"He knows I'm not gonna run." I heard Elena say as we turned the corner into the living room.

"Which is why we need to take some precautions, 'cause we got played, all of us." Damon said as we became visible to both of them. He put some papers in her lap.

"What's this?" Elena asked.

"It's the deed to our house. It's in Zach's name. As soon as you sign it, it'll be in your name. "Stefan explained.

" You're giving me your house? "Elena asked in shock.

" Isobel had the right idea with the safe house. You'll just stay here till it's all over. That way, you can control who gets invited and who doesn't. "Stefan added.

" Although I'll be super pissed if you lock me out. "Damon said which earned a slight chuckle from me. Suddenly, I heard a loud gasp and I looked to my left to find John sitting up gasping for air. Damon rushed over to him and lifted him up by his collar.

"I swear I had no idea what she was gonna do. I'm sorry. I'm so, so sorry. "John said looking at Elena.

" Damon, let him go. He and I need to talk. "Elena said glaring at John. Damon let him down and he and Elena went in another room to talk, leaving Stefan, Damon, and I alone.

" Well, I'm going to bed. Night. "I said not wanting to be around Stefan right now. I walked up the stairs and into my room for the next week and saw Stefan standing there with some clothes in his hand.

" What do you want? "I asked crossing my arms. He lifted his hands with the clothes in it and motioned they were for me. I sighed and moved over to him and grabbed them from him.

"Thank you." I paused and looked at him.

"Now, if that's all you came to do, you can leave. "He stayed in his spot.

" That's not allI wanted to do. I um.I wanted to apologize. "I looked at him as he spoke.

" I'm listening. "I said crossing my arms.

" I was being a dick when I told you I needed space. It's not that I don't want you as a friend, it's just that I'm going through something right now and I thought I might not have been the best to be around, and I didn't want that for you. But the last however many hours you've been pissed at me, I've been pissed at myself for doing that to you, and I'm really sorry. Because Damon's right. Who wouldn't want you in their life? "I looked directly at him as he said that.

" You were listening? "He nodded, and I smiled as I looked down.

"Okay. I forgive you." I moved closer to him.

"But, if you ever do anything like that again, I won't hesitate to stick a stake through your leg. Got it?" He laughed before nodding.

"Now get out so I can change." I said going behind him and pushing him out of the room. I smiled before saying, "Goodnight."

I closed the door as he muttered a "goodnight" back. I pulled out my phone and called my dad.

"Zdravei?" I heard my dad say. I furrowed my brows in confusion.

"What? Dad are you okay?" I asked with a laugh. There was a pause.

"Oh ... Myra. Yeah everything is fine. What can I do for you?" I shook off his weird behavior.

"Nothing, just calling to make sure everything's okay." I told him.

"I might stop by to get some of my clothes tomorrow. Is that okay?"

"No." He said very quickly.

"I told Damon to tell you not to come here. It's not safe. I will bring them to you tomorrow."

"Okay. I love you. Goodnight." I said.

"I love you too. Goodnight." He said as I hung up the phone. I put my phone down and changed into the clothes Stefan gave me, most likely a spare change of clothes Elena left here once. Then, I laid down on the bed and closed my eyes, allowing myself to fall asleep.
