With everything going well so far, Nate was confident that with the changes that have occurred so far, they will be able to defend the base from the matrix from inflating.

Everybody was being given a helmet regardless of their fighting style. Of course, this was specifically ordered by Nate since he want to create less death in the upcoming war.

He knows that if Lynn's power turns out to be healing the others at a lightning speed, the enemies will decide to aim for their heads, that's why he wanted a helmet to be shared.

Meanwhile, as everyone was getting ready to fight, Nate was walking up to someone in particular that was eager to fight.

As Nate walked up to Dike who was currently in his altered form while throwing both hands at a punching bag. The moment he saw Nate approaching him, he stopped and looked at him.

"I can't believe it, I was right back then, you truly have a system!" Dike said excitedly. Back when he first met with Nate, he somehow suspected Nate of having something hidden special about him, however, Nate at that time denied all that Dike said, however, is this point, he was not denying it.

"It's a long story but I don't think you will be coming with us," Nate confessed and Dikes's facial expression changed drastically.

"What does that mean, I have trained for a moment like this and you are telling me this! How could you?" if it was possible, Dike might have been crying by now.

Seeing this, Nate felt bad but he still has another job for Dike. "Look, we are going out there to fight and the other children are staying back, your job is to stay with them and protect the base,"

"I know you so much want to participate in this fight but staying back might hinder you from getting strong, however, it's not hundred percent certain that we can keep the gate out from the matrix, some of the enemies might breach the gate and those that come in, you are free to take them," Nate explained.

"Just make sure you send something worthy to fight against," Dike said as he turned back to his human form. Since it was Nate in particular that came to explain things to him, Dike couldn't go against his order. If Nate said that he has to stay, then they have to be a reason and he believed there is a reason.

After that, Dike left with the other kids that were taken to the safe house, where they were meant to stay till the war was over.

Nate quickly joined the others to make more preparation. Soon, with the cars and firearms they have, They started heading towards the outside of the base, not just only the base but also the forest.

They never intended to take the fight inside or near the base entrance like they will do when going against beast waves. Everyone was now ready.

Nate was holding his sabre while Peter was beside him with his scythe that has already been upgraded to a beast weapon. Although it was not a high level on, it was more terrific than before.

V was also with Nate, he was dressed in a black leather cloth with camo pants. He was holding his spear which was glowing since he was beside Nate and Peter. Two strong zombies are at the second stage of their evolution.

Regardless, they were not the only ones prepared, as the other angles, Lyon and Tony with a few other super humans were standing with each other and they were lowly approaching the residential area of the city.

Lily, Albert and Johnson were also following from behind while Lynn was with them. Practically, all the living adults in the base were called out, and even though that has no single fighting experience and were also ready to fight.

The funniest thing about this was that they were not nervous about what they are about to do. Of course, it was not made known to them the exact number they were going to fight against, but they were informed that their enemies are all superhuman and this was already enough to cast fear into their hearts yet for some reason still unknown to them, they were not worried rather was feeling brave to the extent they want to partake in the fight.

Unbeknownst to them all this was done because of Lynn who was beside them, she has a smile on her face as all the worries that were meant to bother the others were been taken care of by her.

Soon, they arrived at the last spot before entering the forest and with this already done with, they all took position while trying their best to blend themselves with the bushes nearby.

As they were doing this, their initial goal was to launch a surprise attack on the matrix. 'It's just a matter of time for them to arrive, ' Nate thought as he looked at the cloud coming towards them.

Soon, they could hear the footsteps of people heading towards their direction and getting ready to attack.

However, the battalions suddenly stopped just a couple of meters away from entering the forest.

'What's going on, did they find out we are here, ' Nate wondered.

Meanwhile, the whole of the five matrix were currently inside one of the armoured vehicles they got from Sin base. In the car, a serious matter was being discussed.

"I have been sending some spy birds to look into the base but they all been killed just a few meters from entering the forest," Purple said. The bird spy was a method Mia himself figured out. They will wear a bird on one of the rings and then send it out to spy on Nate however lately, Nate has been getting quite a lot of notifications from the system alarming him about the bird, Nate would kill the bird that instant since he can allow the enemy side to know what they are up to.

"Do you think they are preparing for war?" Kai asked.

"Who cares, no matter what, Nate won't be expecting this much to come after him and even if he was to know now, it will be of no use, however, for the sake of being careful, let's see his reaction when he sees him," Mia lamented before looking at Green and said. "Set him free,"

Without further ado, Green opened a portal before him before pulling someone out.

Meanwhile, Nate was still wondering what was going on when he suddenly felt a movement by his side. Looking at who it was, he saw it was Peter and he just stood up and was clearly seen by the enemies.

"Shit! What are you doing?" Nate asked desperately. The system has always said that Peter's intelligence was already high enough for him to know what is right for him and what is wrong, however, for Peter to stand out to face such battalions, Nate felt like the system might have overrated Peter intelligence.

However, he could see Peter pointing in a particular direction with his fingers nails out. Nate couldn't help but look at who Peter was pointing at and it all made a lot of sense to him.

A pathway was being created by the battalions as one of their armoured vehicles drove forward, however, standing onto the vehicle was none other than Chris Way, Nate and Peter's father.

"So it is true after all and you still remembered me, why don't you come to papa," Chris mocked with an evil grin on his lips.

"And that is what I will do!" Yelled Peter before disappearing from everyone's sight and at the same time, Chris could not be seen again on top of the car.

Meanwhile, Nate was stunned and was left in shock at what he just heard. "Did Peter just say something,"
