Seven days!

As Twain was pulled back, the same could have been done to Dike but Levi was a little bit too late since the little boy ran after Lyon. Of course, she would have gone after him but Nate stopped her. "Lyon and Peter are there to protect him if they happen to stumble upon any dramatic condition," he said and let go of Levi.

"So, when are we meeting with her, we have to sort things out concerning what our rewards will be," Nate said.

V nodded his head as he lead them into one of the buildings that were vacant for some reason. It was a bungalow house, and as they got to the building, two people were seen waiting for them on the balcony.

"Nate this is Lily and this is Mr Johnson," V introduced the two people to Nate before looking at Lily and Johnson and whispered. "They are the people I was talking about," though he whispered it was still loud and clear to the zombies.

Meanwhile, now that they were standing before Nate, it kind of felt awkward for them to speak, the right words to say. Regardless, Johnson was the first to say something as he extend his hand towards Nate.

"It's nice meeting you," Johnson said extending his hand towards Nate. Nate took the hand but when it was time to let go, he could still feel Johnson holding onto his hand.

"You know, your hand is as soft as butter that will melt in my hand with a single squeeze," Nate teased, it was then Johnson let go of his hand, meanwhile, Twain chuckled but was shut up by Levi.

Lily only gave a nod to them as she started leading the way to her office, but Johnson was still standing in one place and had not moved. He was busy staring at his hand.

"Have they been living in a refrigerator all this while? How can someone's hand be that could in a calm climate like this?"

Eventually, Nate and the others came to the small room that looked like a doctor's office since they were many pieces of medical equipment that could be spotted and even pictures and labels of human organs were hung on the wall.

"V must have told you all about the condition of this base. While it was raining, beast waves began to attack this base, this was something that never happened before. At first, we were able to push back but as days went by, it gets stronger and we lost some men,"

"V suggested we call for help and that is why we call you," Lily explained.

"Is that all? If that's it then, we will jump into what we will get as payment," Nate said not minding what Lily just said.

"I was already expecting you to say something regarding that, however, we might have something that you might like as a superhuman," As Lily said that, someone entered the room and it was Albert. He was carrying a bag and when unzipping it, what was inside the. The bag falls out on the floor.

"Among the first few waves that attacked, we were able to kill most of them and we found these crystal stones inside them, except powering this base we have nothing else to do with it, we were thinking that maybe it might be successful to you superhumans" Lily explained.

For the first time, Nate was glad that Lyon wasn't with them at this moment, if not he might single-handedly offer his help just to have the amount of crystal in front of them. Regardless, Nate has to analyze the crystal first.

His inspector skill has been changed to the analyzer, regardless, its function has no difference from the inspector skill. When analyzing the crystal, its level, and the beast it comes out from was all displayed for him.

Nate might be thinking that it was over till Albert brought another bad and opened it. What was inside this time were meteorite stones.

"Now this is what I call having the answer to your problems but still don't know," Nate lamented.

Lily and the rest of his people have no idea what Nate was talking about.

"You guys must have a lot of this right?" Nate asked. Though not knowing the reason he was asking, Albert still answered affirmatively.

"Then why will you still need to look for help, or maybe you guys have no idea on how to make use of this,"

None of them was understanding where Nate was going with this, how can a meteorite stone and a crystal get out from a beast? For sure, one will expect something special from those two things since it wasn't something one will always see.

"Can you explain more," Lily asked with interest, she was wondering whether they are something she had failed to notice about those two stones. For them to produce electricity to power the base except the solar panels was already a wonderful thing.

It's just that they thought providing energy to the base is the only thing the crystal was good at.

Nate already noticed that they have no idea what the crystal and meteorite's stone can do, and he decided to drag this for some time or maybe he can find out something from the base.

"Forget about it, giving out such information will require some payment anyways," Nate said as he tilted his body on the chair.

Lily could only sigh in displeased before asking Nate another question.

"How are you intending to solve this, I mean with your group, we will be happy to support your guys with enough ammunition and men that assist you guys," when she said this, Nate could not help but giggle a bit.

"When the wave comes again, you will all get to know how we deal with them as for ammunition and men that will assist us, I will advise you to keep them, when we get into a fight with beast waves, the battle becomes chaotic and a normal human can survive in such environment," Nate said surprising the others but they can't just believe him since it might all be a bluff. Only one person among them felt like they are capable of doing that.

Meanwhile, when it seemed like the others were done with their questions, it was time for Nate to get some information he wanted regarding the condition of the base.

"When did this attack start?" he asked.

"Two days after the rain started," Lily answered. Nate was surprised, he know the rain lasted for a long but not to the extent of three days.

"How long have it lasted?" he asked again.

"Throughout the seven days it rained and each attack is stronger than the previous ones," Lily replied.

Meanwhile, not just Nate, even though that were standing beside him had their eyes wide open I'm shocked.

"Seven days?!"
