Check point.

Nate and the zombies among their groups have to wait inside the car while, Max, Cab and Zuni went out to inquire about the small town.

It didn't take long for them to return though with bad news.

"Everywhere is on guard, they have a device that can read someone's temperature, heartbeat and even sense the virus," Cab explained about the third border checkpoint.

"This will be troublesome if they have such things with them, it's best we give us the idea of going through the main entrance," Mark said.

They don't know what will happen if they were to be discovered by those devices. Yes, although they could cheat their way in, but there were just too many check up on needs to pass through before entering.

One was the virus checking. A blood sample of theirs will be taken and infused into a device that will analyze it and check if there is any sign of a zombie virus.

If they manage to pass that one, then the second was their body temperature. They honestly might be able to get away with this one, but the last test will defiantly leak their secret.

Their heartbeat. This was something none of them can do now.

With all this, it was certain that they won't be able to get through the last border even after coming this far.

"We need another plan... This must not be the only entrance to the settlement. There has to be another way," Nate said.

"But we can't take the risk of going outside now... We don't know what else they have, they might even have a sensor that can dictate a zombie nearby," Levi said...

"That's why Lyon and Sin will have to go this time... Am sure the both of you have a strong sense of smell, you guys might be able to find something odd or even another pathway inside the city," Nate explained.

"As much as I have working with him, I have no choice now, right," Lyon said

Sin didn't say anything and just got up.

"I didn't bargain for this, but anything to get my revenge," Sin muttered and soon he and Lyon left the bus.

Nate and the others could only sit silently and wait for their return before planning for the next move.

Meanwhile, on getting outside, Sin and Lyon got to work almost instantly.

They started searching through the areas looking for any clue.

'Here, I can sense them all. The majority of these people are superhumans, altered type to be precise. I wonder what sort of form they have, perhaps I can get a copy of their DNA,' Lyon smiled.

There is something others didn't know about Lyon and that is the fact he can tell when an altered superhuman was close by. This was something others couldn't do. The only way Nate can tell when someone is an altered human is when he does not feel the sweet aroma of their flesh.

But Lyon's case was different. Although the latter can cannibalize anything, even zombies, but his case was not as serious to compare that of a zombie.

"Focus on the mission, numskull...!" Sin snapped at Lyon.

"Ahh... Sorry, I was..." Before Lyon could finish his words, someone bumped into him. Lyon was caught off guard and staggered back.

Meanwhile, the person that just bumped into Lyon quickly got up and started running.

'That smell... it's so much condensed, why will someone be using their altered form when there is no fight going on,' sensing something strange, Lyon decided to run after the person.

Meanwhile, Sin saw this and also had a frown on his face. He quickly followed Lyon.

The person that bumped into Lyon had a black hoodie on, hiding his face as he ran. He soon noticed that Lyon was following coming after him and ran into a tight array way.

Lyon followed after him and to his greatest surprise, on arriving at the array, the man that bumped into him was now facing him.

"Why are you following me?" he asked.

"Are you crazy?! You bumped into me not minding to say sorry!" lyon replied.

"Fine...sorry and get your ass out of there...!" the man shouted trying to block his face with the hoodie.

"That doesn't seem polite to me, anyways, why are running, what are you running from?" lyon asked.

"It's none of your business, now get step aside...!" the man shouted.

"You are going nowhere," Sin who just arrived declared.

Seeing two people currently blocking his path, the man had no other option than attack.

Charging forward, the man revealed his face. However, rather than a face of a human, the man's face was covered in fur and out from his nose were two trunks that curled back like that of an elephant.

The man's mouth was like that of a pig as he rush towards Lyon and Sin.

"oik..oik...oik!" the man cried out like an actual pig.

"You made the wrong decision...!" lyon shouted and also charged forward.

Meanwhile, Sin was concerned. If Lyon and the pig man were to fight, then it might bring attention towards them.

"End this as fast as you can!" Sin instructed.

"Don't worry, I have my way of stopping this," Lyon shouted back.

Rather than transforming into one of his altered forms, Lyon summoned his DNA syringe and thrust it at the pig man.

One of the syringes stuck onto the body.

[DNA drainer activated]

With, the man that was rushing towards them started to shrink, its body started to shrink from the initial size it had before.

"Wait...what are you doing to me?..." he panicked.

Lyon was surprised to see that the pig man was actually a kid, someone at the age of Dike or even less. After his altered DNA was drained entirely, the boy slumped exhausted.

"What was that...?!" he struggled to ask.

Meanwhile, Lyon and Sin approached the boy.

"How did someone like him end up like this ?" lyon wondered.

"Who cares, what matters now is that we have someone that knows a bit more about this place than us," Sin said.

Lyon understanding this, walked up to the boy. "Hey, boy... I have your DNA, as long as you comply, I will give you back your power," Lyon tried to explain but didn't get a response from the boy staring at him.

"Let's just take him back to Nate," Sin said.

Lyon agreed and was about to tie the boy's hand when suddenly, his instinct started to kick in.

Trusting this instinct, Lyon quickly dashed out of the way, dragging Sin along with him.

Bang...!!!

Just after he did that, a loud bang resounded as a phantom fist came crashing down on the spot he was before.

Angrily turning back, Lyon was about to see who just attacked him, however, he was in for a surprise when he turned back.

Standing right behind him was a young teenage boy, with jet-black bushy hair.

Looking at this person, only one thing could come out of Sin's mouth. "Nate...?!"

Whereas, Lyon was surprised. "You...what are you doing here and how did you get here?" lyon asked.
