A deal with the matrix.

It has been a week since the five matrix meets up with the zombie Hunters and with a few introductions of power and knowledge, the three zombie hunters have decided to lead them back to their hideout for the meantime.

"I don't really understand why you always keep your clone out, why don't summon them only when a battle falls out," Speed said to Mia as they all walked towards a particular direction that lacks zombies walking around.

The three zombie hunters were of course Speed, Tel, and the healer guy they called Hel. They were the three zombie hunters the five matrix met under the subway.

"Just like I said, my power works with consciousness, the four me you see consist of four different consciousness. Two are fighters, one is someone that loves playing with science and technology, while the other, though is totally useless, but still helpful at some points," Mia replied.

"Why will you classify me as useless!" Kai rebuked and clenched his fist in anger.

Of course, the matrix has told their usual lies about their power, though what Mia said was true, their ability is to doppelganger, and in each clone lays consciousness that thinks differently from the other, but has the same goal.

"It makes sense that way," said Speed in understanding.

The three hunters didn't care much, as long as Mia and his clone can prove some help to them, they will happily accept them, but not without a few tests being run on them.

"Where are we heading to?" Red eventually asked. They have been journeying for like a week now and yet they have not reached their destination. It was making him angry since all he wants was just a sound sleep.

"As zombie hunters, we don't have a particular destination, we move from one place to another hunting zombies day and night,"

"However, recently, we stumbled into a troublesome zombie that seems special from the other zombies, however, stumbling into this zombie was the worst thing that has ever happened to us since we lost most of our men to them," Tel said. Just from his tone, Mia could tell it was hard for him to bear such pain of losing all his subordinates, even the matrix that lost all the army they have created it was painful for them now they realized that Nate was still alive.

"We are here," Hel announced as he first went into a house that looks like a clubhouse, judging from the designs and patterns that were written and drawn on the wall of the building.

The others followed him and soon, they were inside what seemed like a bar hall, but the place was messed up. The chairs and table were in an improper posture with some upside down and those that were even broken.

"Lately, we have a new member that has been going crazy trashing everything, however, that's not something we should be worried about," Hel said and walked up to another door, however, he didn't go inside directly and first knocked on the door.

They were in response from the inside, but they all could hear the noise coming from the inside as the person inside was opening the door, and soon it was opened revealing the person inside.

"Ch... Chris?" all matrix said at once in shock.

---

Later on that night, Chris was busy at the corner of the house sleeping when someone walked up to him. His instinct kicked in but before he could do anything, Green just opened a portal and pushed him inside.

It all happened so fast that Chris was not able to react. When he appeared in the dark room, he could already see four shadows already waiting for him before Green appeared.

"What's up with you guys, are you scared that I will implicate your guy's plans or something?" Chris asked unafraid.

"Somehow, that has something to do with our current meeting," Mia said tilting his back on his sit.

"I'm just curious as to why didn't you tell them, why haven't you said anything to them?" Mia asked.

Chris intentionally made a face like someone that is thinking. "That's because I need you guys' to help to get rid of him," Chris answered.

The others didn't understand what Chris meant by him needing their help.

"I know you guys are confused trust, me, they are stronger than you think, and for me to kill them, I need help and the zombie hunter is one then you guys," Chris explained himself.

Mia seems to understand what Chris meant and wanted and couldn't help to think it was a brilliant idea.

"As long as you don't tell them who we are, we are more than willing to help you, after all, we all have the same goal in mind," Mia said and stretch his hand out.

Chris looked at it for a moment before taking it also. "As long as you don't try taking over my body, I will keep my mouth shut," Chris said as he and the matrix has just made a deal.

Meanwhile, Nate was still looking at the man that has claimed to be his NPC.

This was someone that the system has recently assigned him to look for, however, never did he expect the person in question to come to him instead.

[You are in the presence of your NPC. Do whatever he tells you to do to get your answers]

The system message has just confirmed that it was not a bluff when the man said he was his NPC. 'I just hope you have my answers,' Nate thought.

"If you said this is not a game, then tell me how I get to hear and what is this place," Nate said getting up from the lab table he was lying down on.

"If you want me to answer any of your questions, you will have to complete the following quest," Leo said and was about to list out something but was interrupted by Nate.

"I don't have all day, answer me!" he demanded.

"Will you hear me out first?" Leo asked.

"No, I'm not hearing you out, how, did I end up here, you must know something, speak," Nate demanded.

"Although I said this is not a game, you are free to think of it as one, as long as you don't die," Leo said. He was finding it hard to tell whether Nate was really interested to know more about what he is and where he is.

"You have to peek calm, you are a zombie after all and shouldn't be panicking over a little thing," Leo said.

"Really? I used my own money to buy something that put me into an unknown place, maybe the matrix was right, I was really damn to think this whole thing was a game all along." Nate said depressed.

"Just do as I say and I will provide you with the answers you need," Leo said.

Nate clenched his fist before summoning his sabre and swinging it at Leo. Leo didn't bother to dodge and allowed the threat to pass through his body.

"I'm an NPC, you can not touch me not to think of hurting me, so just listen,"

Regardless, Nate know this will happen and just started walking towards the door of the house. "You came looking for me and there must be a reason for that," Nate said and walked off. As much as Nate really need answers, he was not going to do what Leo said and the fact Leo came for him, he believes that Leo must also need something from him.

However, to his surprise, Leo didn't even call him back and allow him to go, but Nate was not going to give up, at least that was what he thought until he opened the door to see the outside.

He was expecting to see some buildings in the surrounding, however, what he saw was a vast space with white sands on the ground, however, he know this was not the same rather was snow and with the gust of wind that hit his face, his body started to freeze on the spot.

[Body temperature has gone down temperature of a zombie, the host will be going into hibernation mode]

"Shit, where am I?" Nate asked finding it hard to move his body.

"Just know you are far from home," Leo's voice sounded from behind before Nate lost consciousness.
