The original awakens

"Kill the one who placed you in this state."

Those words echoed in his ears, but alas, the blood flowing down Amber's neck was the only thing on his mind.

Despite the numerous injuries on his body, he couldn't fight the hunger that was swelling inside of him.

"Blood."

Amber's eyes glowed a bit, then she smiled before reaching out to him.

"Yes, my blood is yours to feast on… your enemies stand before you… get up.."

Using the little strength he had, Leon stretched his hand to the side, towards Amber, and without any warning, he dragged her head down.

His teeth sank into her neck, ever drop leaking into his tongue as he sucked on her bare skin like a hungry animal.

At first, everyone watched this scene, confused and perplexed, that was until Lucy figured out what was happening.

The Harvest.

Not many people know about this, reason being not many people have also been able to find their soulmates.

But those who have know there's one thing that always comes along with giving your heart to your other half.

They can awaken.

Every soul mate was said to have lived a past life as a former original, the first set of vampires that was said to have walked the earth before they all miraculously vanished.

And the progenitors were rumored to be past wives of the originals, although no one has been able to say for certain.

Thanks to the Harvest, progenitors who have found their soulmates can easily awaken the original by doing three steps.

First was death of the soulmate,

Second was the heart transfers.

Third…was the irresistible thirst for the progenitor's blood and the urge for revenge.

"Quick! Finish him off!" Lucy yelled.

The huge vampire acted just as his mistress commanded and launched himself towards the duo.

Leon already had Amber on the ground, his throat galloping as he drank her blood, every ounce, not a drop wasted.

And then….

He pushed his mouth away, his eyes glowing red as he looked up to the sky.

"Wonderful." He voiced out.

"Snacking mid battle! How pitiful!" The huge vampire yelled, leaping upward with his blade raised and ready to strike Leon down.

Loan smiled, looking Amber in the eye who seemed to be losing consciousness.

"Thank you… I remember a bit, you did well." Leon spoke,

He then stood to his feets, stretching his arm toward the vampire in front of him.

The huge vampire's eyes widened the moment he noticed the spark of flames that formed in front of Leon's palm, but he was too far in to dodge.

"Shit!"

Boooooooooom!

Flames bursted out of Leon's hand, devouring the vampire within its range in a perfectly immersive blast.

The vampire leaped out of the flames, luckily with only a few parts of his body and cloth burned.

As soon as he landed on the ground, his eyes shifted to his front where he could see Leon walking out of the fire with Amber in his arms.

"A fool who trespassesses into my domain is no different from a child falling into a lion's den."

All eyes shifted to Leon, most filled with fear as they could see the enormous energy circulating around his body, and others filled with pride, knowing he had arrived.

The original.

"Rest your heads knowing you stand before me… I will give you a fitting death, a thousand blades should suffice."

As those words left his mouth, blades began to manifest behind him, each having different shapes, forms and auras, but all were aimed at the giant vampire.

"No way… a thousand blades… does that mean?" Lucy muttered under her breath, watching as the blades manifested.

Every vampire under the rule of the first preginator bowed their heads, some of the red vampires were desperately trying to hold their ground, every bone in their body was urging them to run.

"Stand tall, you get to die by my hands, be gone,"

With just a wave of his finger, the blades came falling to the ground like rain drops.

But rather than hitting everyone in its path, they fell on the huge vampire, screams of horror echoed throughout the place.

Everyone watched as the blades kept raining on him, and not a single person wanted to leave where they stood, because they knew it would mean instant death.

Suddenly, the blades came to a complete stop.

The rest that were still hovering the air began to dematerialize.

"He's dead." Leon spoke, a sigh leaving his mouth before he turned his gaze towards Lucy.

"Do you still question my position or would you like me to show you again?" He asked, his eyes solely fixed on her.

She shook her head, sweat trailing down the side of the cheeks.

"Very good." Leon voiced, then he turned his gaze to Amber, who was hugging him with her head resting on his chest.

"Seems it's not time for my awakening, I can't keep this form for much longer." Leon spoke,

"I… understand." Amber responded, but not once did she let go of him.

"When I wake up, do explain everything to me, it will be much easier, okay?"

"As you wish."

And just like that, Leon's red eyes dimed and he fell unconscious, resting on Amber's body for support.

After that was settled, the vampires under Lucy's control began to retreat, alongside Lucy herself.

Leon was placed in his room and everyone in the house of Murai bore witness to the rise of thier new master.

The master they had been waiting for, for years, had finally returned to them.

And of course, news of this didn't skip the other progenitors, the awakening of an Original was sensed and recorded.

And now everyone was curious to know who the new force of nature could be.
