Azrael kept her gaze on the clock, tapping her finger on the table, patiently waiting for the second hand to touch twelve.

Exactly at twelve, a silhouette of a young boy started to appear in front of her. Azrael smirked, standing up from her place.

Adrian looked around the strange place he found himself. "Welcome." Azrael smiled and greeted him.

Adrian glanced up at her, eyes widened, " You are August's friend!" He pointed out.

August smiled, smart kid. She folded her arms and walked up to him. "Yes. I am his friend." Azrael assured him, remembering August's words.

Adrian's face showed a bit of relief once she assured her. "But where am I? Where is sis?" Adrian looked at her puzzled, searching for his sister.

"And I am standing …" Adrian peeked down and was baffled to see him standing. It's been ages since he had stood on his own feet. And he felt great.
