78. The human monster

As Abraham has confirmed that he is an adult, a subtle shift in Happy's demeanor became evident. Her cheeks flushed with a delicate hue of pink, and her eyes seemed to sparkle with a newfound brightness. Abraham, attuned to the subtle changes in human behavior, couldn't help but notice the shift. "Why did Happy get...happy on hearing that I'm an adult."

He looked directly at her. As their eyes locked, Happy's gaze flickered away, her own eyes momentarily finding solace in the ground beneath her feet. A shy smile danced upon her lips, her cheeks flushing an even deeper shade of pink. Her fingers toyed nervously with the edge of her dress, and she immediately found an espace.

She turned and walked quickly while saying, "I will let the two of you continue". She then thought to herself that it was a lucky escape.

"You bastard. Did you turn your charm or what? Such a cute angel is falling for the devil. Since yesterday, women seem to be coming into your life. First the nurse, then the Mona lady, and now such an innocent soul."

Just as Abraham was about to respond to the system, his great hearing caught some noise coming from his right side more specifically at the end of the settlement near the start of the forest.

The noise keep increasing and it seemed to be coming directly towards Abraham. That was when he noticed two silhouettes.

As soon as Leo confirmed that he indeed saw a demon in the settlement, both he and Master Sabre sprinted quickly toward the settlement. Master Sabre knew about Leo's ability, so he had no doubt about Leo's vision.

Leo was taking the lead, following the grand red aura. Leo was blind but he had the same ability as Abraham wireframe vision. He could see humans in a yellow aura and beasts in a red aura. As for a beast, the higher the level, the denser and more volume it contained.

Leo was able to see a demi-god beast in the past. He did not fight the beast, but thanks to his vision, he knew how scary they were. And right now, he was seeing a bigger aura in the settlement. That was how he came to the conclusion that he should be at the demon level.

The two of them were pushing their bodies to the limit, using every Qi energy they had. But as they were running, Master Sabre was also looking around the settlement and the situation was bizarre. Every one of his students was behaving normally, there was no fight or terror going around. They were each busy with their tasks. Master Sabre had to confirm with Leo.

"Leo, are you sure there is a demon? Everyone is behaving normally, there is no attack going on, even with Qi around my ears, I'm not hearing any scream."

"Master, I.... I'm still seeing the beast. And we are getting closer as we speak. I have pinpointed it around the training ground. Maybe the beast is different, I don't know why it is not attacking everyone, not that we are thankful for, but we need to get there as fast as possible." said Leo.

By the side, the villagers were confused. Why were Master Sabre and Leo running around the settlement like that? Some of them thought that maybe the two were doing a competition to see who was faster.

After taking a right turn, both Leo and Master Sabre found themselves in front of the training ground. Leo finally saw the red aura just in front of him and he signal his master and both came to a stop.

Both of them were going through different emotions. For Leo, it was fear, as the red aura was in the form of a human. So Leo came to a single conclusion, a humanoid demon beast.

For each category of a beast, whether it was an intermediate one or a demon-tier beast, everyone knew to be careful against a humanoid one. It was due to them being able to think and adapt just like humans.

As for Master Sabre, he was relieved to see a human in front of him instead of a demon like Leo had anticipated. Just then Happy brought broke the silence. She has seen both of them rushing and now they were both examining Abraham.

"Is there anything wrong Master? Why are both of you so worried and have your weapons out?"

Seeing that the atmosphere was awkward, Master Sabre asked Happy about Abraham.

"Do you know this man?"

"Yes, he is Abraham, while I was stationed near the portal, he came from it and asked to meet Master and Brother Leo. I decided to take him for a tour around the settlement and that was when he met with Pele. Both of them had met on Earth in the past. Do you recognize him, Master, is there anything wrong." Happy enumerated whatever happened.

On the other side, Abraham understood everything that was going on. The way they came rushing and the way Leo was looking in his direction meant that Leo was seeing him; more specifically his aura.

Now that Leo was face to face with Abraham, he was seeing the aura more clearly with any interruption. That's when he noticed the difference. Unlike the red aura of a beast, Abraham's aura was more of a dark magenta.

"Look like I finally got the chance to meet both of you. Leo, the blind swordsman, one of the great contributors to humanity's survival. And you also Zero, oh sorry, I mean Master Sabre Hunt. It is my pleasure to finally see both of you. I want to have a private discussion with both of you if possible."

From the way Abraham talked, Master Sabre felt like Abraham knew them. There was just the word "Zero" that Abraham said that he did not understand. Master Sabre examined Abraham for a few seconds and then at Leo, wanting to know his student's opinion.

After receiving a nod from Leo, Master Sabre, Leo and Abraham left for a more quiet place away from everyone.
