Second blood incident

Seraphina sat in the room as she stared at the machine connected to her body. Naomi had told her because of one of the wounds, she had to stay under close medication. Although she was allowed to leave the room, she decided not go and just stayed put.

"Lucian." Esmeralda called as the elevator door slowly opened. Lucian was sitting on his seat, his gaze focused on what was being displayed before him. "Big bro."

"What is it?" He asked as he looked away, staring right at her who was still looking around the base with curiousity.

"Can I go see her?" She asked and Lucian leaned his back. "I can control myself. I promise I would control myself. Do you know how boring it is to be the only one in this house?"

"You're only saying that because she is here. You've always been alone for months now and you want to have someone to talk to now?" He asked and she pouted, not breaking eye contact with him even as his eyes changed colors to scare her off. "Fine, but you should control yourself. Your inner vampire doesn't know how to control itself around humans yet and now we don't know what kind of human she is, do keep your fangs in."

"Yes brother." she giggled happily before skipping happily back to Seraphina's room where she knocked gently. As she pushed the door open, she saw Naomi checking up on her. "Oh Naomi, you're here. I haven't seen you since you returned."

"Yeah, I've been busy with some things and clearly your brother wants me to take care of her." Naomi said and Seraphina looked at Esmeralda and she could point out the similarities between her and Lucian. She looked exactly like the younger feminine version of Lucian.

"Hey, Seraphina." Esmeralda waved at her with a bright smile and Seraphina greeted her back. "Would you like to take a stroll round the house? You haven't left your room since you arrived. Is it because of my brother? No need to worry about him, he doesn't bite. But he does scold to the point of tears." Esmeralda warned and Seraphina chuckled gently as Naomi helped her to sit on the wheel chair for easier movement with her treatment.

Esmeralda took her out to the side garden and Seraphina was surprised by the peace and quiet that was in the whole building. "So tell me. Who are you to my brother?"

"What do you mean?" Seraphina asked her and a smirk played on her face.

"Lucian has never cared for another woman except from me. Even Naomi who has been his friend for years, he doesn't care at all. You must have done something to grab his never to be grabbed attention." She said teasingly. "Tell me, what is it? Maybe I can woo him with it to give me all access to his credit card."

A chuckle came from Seraphina as she stopped the wheelchair. "I don't know, he just seems nice." Seraphina said softly.

"Maybe he's in love with you." Esmeralda's gasped. "He never ever even bought clothes for another lady apart from me. I was told by the attendant. It's a secret of course. But I have to know what kind of magic you are using on my brother." She whimpered. "I want it. No I need it."

"You're so cute." Seraphina said and Esmeralda giggled as she sat on the bench opposite Seraphina. "I heard you're sick because of Lucian. You know, he has a lot of enemies and that's the reason why I have to stay here in his mansion. Although I could always go to any of my brothers or my father, but I still love Lucian more than all of them. Everything is always peaceful with him around." She said with a sigh and a small smile appeared on Seraphina's lips.

"You must love him a lot." She said and Esmeralda nodded with excitement. "You know, I only have one person in my life too that I currently cherish a lot. My father. Although I also have a little girl, but I'm sure she's safe but although I was told he is safe, I'm still worried."

"No need to worry yourself at all. As long as he is under Lucian's men watch, nothing will happen to him. I trust him with my life even though everyone wants the Van del Turo family's last child so they can use it against the family." She said with a sad smile. "Although I'm grateful for everything I have, it can be quite demanding."

"I understand you." Seraphina smiled bitterly as she placed her hand on Esmeralda's. "I'm sure you've been so bored here alone. I'll be here if you need anyone to keep you company."

"You're so easy to talk to." Esmeralda complimented with a smile and just then, the injection connected to her body suddenly pulled out her blood gushed pit uncontrollably.

Esmeralda's eyes suddenly flashed dangerously as she saw blood. Her fangs instantly elongated and before she could jump forward, Lucian appeared out of nowhere, sweeping Seraphina in his arms as he covered her bloody hand.

Gabriel held Esmeralda back as Naomi hurriedly cleaned the spilled blood. "When last did she have a drink?" Lucian asked.

"From the look of things, probably weeks." Gabriel said as he held her back.

"Get her something to drink."
