While Ellis tried to calm his irritated mind, he heard his sister's cough, which seemed intended to get his attention. And remembering her emphasis on the word "alone," he realized he needed to offer her some explanation. However, he wasn't quite sure what to say.
As he was contemplating what to say, a blue point suddenly began manifesting near the final boss's throne. It started as a small point, then grew into a ball as it circulated, eventually stabilizing into a blue gate. Seeing it, Ellis felt it was a welcome distraction. Like it came at the right time to his rescue, but not wanting to reopen the subject for now, he turned to his sister and said.
"Something did happen, and I'll tell you eventually, but not now."
"For now, let's take the magic stones from the corpses and exit the dungeon."
Seeing him still avoiding answers and closing the subject, Clara wasn't sure if she should press further. However, remembering how harsh she had been toward him earlier, she decided to remain silent for now.
"...Okay."
After gathering all the magic stones and standing before the gate, Ellis remembered that Clara hadn't told him what the bronze orb that appeared from the final boss contained. So he asked her once more before they exited.
But as Ellis saw his sister take the bronze orb out of her backpack again to check, it appeared she hadn't examined it yet.
"It's actually a C-rank sword," with surprise on her face she continued. "It's the first time I've seen something with a C rank."
Hearing about the C-rank sword made Ellis even more exited. He had planned to search for a weapon the next day, but now he didn't need to. While he would have preferred a spear, still he was more than happy with the sword.
With a joyful mood, Ellis took a step toward the gate, his sister following close behind.
Getting accustomed to the feeling of teleportation, as this time it was even smoother than before.
Looking at the scene outside, the sun setting and the crimson sky, Ellis was glad the dungeon hadn't taken too long. And after calculating, he realized it was just nearly nine hours.
"Are you alright? Should we take you to the medical unit nearby?"
Hurrying toward him and looking at him with concern, the soldier responsible for guarding the gate began firing questions at him, clearly troubled by his appearance.
Ellis was reminded that he was half-naked now, with barely any fabric remaining on his top and then his bottom, his dick was nearly making his debut appearance. His clothes and skin were stained with a mix of green and red blood, with even some purple poison still lingering.
Feeling his cheeks flush with shame and embarrassment, Ellis turned to his sister to ask why she hadn't reminded him. But seeing her hatefully stifling her laughter with the back of her hand gracefully, he was sure it was some sort of payback for him. He couldn't help but send her some glares, even knowing their ineffectiveness.
So, after closing his eyes and trying to suppress his shame, he said in a chilling, cold tone:
"I'm alright."
Then as he prepared to start walking, wanting nothing more than to disappear from the scene, the soldier interrupted him again.
"Wait, sir."
Looking at him with a dangerous glare, as if what he said was something not important he would kill him, Ellis waited.
But the soldier, receiving the the gaze filled with cold and chilling intent, couldn't help but freeze in place, his back soaked with cold sweat, unable to open his mouth at all, let alone speak normally.
Luckily for him, Clara was here, and came to his rescue, reprimanding Ellis jokingly with an elbow jab, while laughing a little.
"Brother, don't be so childish."
Then turning her head toward the soldier, she asked in a formal tone:
"What were you going to say?"
Feeling thankful and relieved that the cold gaze had shifted away from him, the soldier while looking at the beauty in front of him almost expressed his gratitude. However, another, much darker gaze fell upon him, making him feel as though he were on the edge of a cliff, where one wrong move could send him straight to hell.
Knowing he can't make any mistakes, and steeling his nerves, he decided to simply deliver the message entrusted to him and be done with these dangerous siblings.
"Colonel Nikolay Miller left a message for you. He is now resting in the Alwksie military residence block and will not enter a dungeon for the next two days."
Hearing what the soldier said, Ellis just grunted, then grabbed his sister's hand and turned away. He started walking, not wanting to stay here any more. as just remembering the gaze he gave to his sister and while it was brief and didn't have lustful intention behind it, Ellis still didn't like it.
But perhaps it was his fate today to be interrupted once again, as he soon began hearing the panicked shouts of soldiers behind him.
"What's happening?"
"The gate is closing!"
"We should inform the higher ups immediately!"
Turning his head for what felt like the umpteenth time, Ellis saw the blue gate disappearing. The soldiers, likely unnerved by the sight as it was their first encounter with such an event, were in a state of panic. But despite the commotion, Ellis was determined not to waste any more time and intended to continue on his way.
But seeing his sister stop and go back to inform the soldiers about how they had cleared the dungeon, Ellis narrowed his eyes dangerously. He tried to keep his frustration in check, not wanting to escalate the situation further.
It was obvious to him that the disappearing gate meant the dungeon was cleared, but apparently the soldiers lacked that common sense.
After telling them what had happened, Ellis with his sister whom was acting coquettish were finally returning back.
