If it came with its owner as a package, I might still consider it, but one beautiful cat alone didn't feel worth it for me.
Deciding its fate, but fearing it was more agile than me, I didn't enter the room but took a stance at the entrance it. restricting its movement and getting ready to strike. Restricting the course of its movement and getting ready to strike at it.
Perhaps sensing my hostility, its glare turned into something more sinister. Feeling some pressure from it, I held the spear tightly in front me. Getting ready to strike at anytime.
Standing on its four paws and preparing to attack, it suddenly jumped toward me. Although it was much faster than me, but that's when moving, counter-attacking was still manageable.
Deflecting its claw, I hit back with my fist, grazing it slightly. Feeling like the spear was restricting more than being helpful, I swung it horizontally with all my might, trying to hit it or at least create some distance. Seeing it jump from the tip of the spear to dodge my strike, I wasn't frustrated. Instead, I saw my chance since it was in the air. I pulled the spear back and threw it toward the likely landing spot.
"Thwack." Seeing the cat unable to dodge the spear completely while landing at the ground, and even though its just the front paw. It was more than enough.
Putting one hand in front me and the other under my T-shirt holding the knife, I was ready for round two. And from the growling sound the cat is making it's the same apparently.
Walking from side to another while staring at me, likely searching for its opportunity to finish me off in one move. The white cat was giving the vibe of a protagonist from a third-rate novel wanting to put his everything into his last strike. The sight was really eye-opining
"So, does that make me the villain?" While I had this silly thought in my mind, the cat suddenly made its move. Jumping toward me, and seeing how its other intact front paw changing from its white color to a shining golden one, it was surprising. to do something like this would need mana, by activating a skill or some other mean. But it hasn't been even 6 hours. Is it that special?
Despite my thoughts, I was still focusing on the battle. Seeing how it got slower was reassuring, without the spear I could move even faster.
Punching with my empty fist while dodging its paw was not easy but still manageable. Changing my punching fist to a holding palm, I stopped it briefly and struck with the knife in my other hand with all my might. Successfully stabbing it, "ugh" I couldn't be too happy, seeing how just its graze to my arm was enough to wound it a little.
"Thud." Seeing it fall down and being at its last breath, I held the knife tightly and stabbed again. It took more than one stab, even without it struggling; it was really resilient.

"What the fuck?" I was astonished by the flurry of system messages. But feeling my small wound healing, the improvement in my body and the surge of energy that came out of nowhere giving me a clarity of mind I didn't think was possible before, was euphoric to the point that I couldn't concentrate on reading the messages any more.
It felt like I could take on all of the world, but knowing it was a fleeting feeling, I waited for the changes to settle and calmed my mind before reading the messages.
"So, it was really special." I felt a little bit of regret, like should I have tried to tame it? But feeling my changes again, and knowing how my own strength is the most trustworthy, solidified my mind. After all you can't know what risk are there after taming it, if it was possible at all.
And remembering the unknown energy, it was likely the results of my innate talent, so that would make it soul power or soul fragments, things that I couldn't get had I not killed it. So there was no choice.
"And I got my first title," Feeling joyful, I said and sat down, opening my status window.

Seeing the system window in front of me, and the changes that happened to it. I was elated, like my efforts are really paying off. I could even say that I'm powerful now.
Starting of the huge increase in attributes, not even counting the unassigned points. And going further like how all the blank spaces got filled.
Starting the huge increase in attributes not even counting the unassigned points, going further there are no more blank space. Seeing these changes was delightful.
[Unique Monster Killer: When fighting unique monsters, your attributes will increase by 10%. Unique monsters will feel more hostility toward you.]
Reading the title's description was a letdown. It was useful only against unique monsters, and even then the attribute increase wasn't much. Plus, there was the disadvantage of hostility.
Going down to look at the skill.
[Basic Spearmanship Lv.1(88%) (Passive): You have just started learning how to use the spear. Your proficiency in using the spear will increase more quickly.]
"Nice." At last something simple, easy to understand and useful. And seeing the percentage beside the skill level, I knew it wouldn't be long before it leveled up.
After reading everything, I stood up; it was time to wrap up the things here.
