Living for her son, Selena, who had just discovered her purpose in life, felt distressed being a long distance away from him.

When her worry began eating away at her because he wasn't close, because she couldn't reach him, he suddenly appeared in front of her again. She felt an overwhelming surge of happiness and wanted to run to him, hug him with all her might, and if possible, fuse herself into him, as nothing would have felt more perfect.

But seeing her daughter in his arms, hands wrapped around his neck and legs around his waist, Selena felt an immense surge of jealousy. She desperately wished it were her being held instead. She longed to be the one in his embrace, but sadly, she knew she couldn't change anything.

Then when they were eating, he came and asked about her status window. Selena saw it as her only chance. With her indecisiveness and meek personality, she knew it would have taken her forever to confess to him. Yet, in that moment, she was finally able to show him her feelings and reveal, even if just a small part, what she truly felt.

It was then that she finally felt liberated, as though something inside her had become complete. But even then.

Seeing the number of Blank Points he had accumulated and the increased list of skills, even though many of them were useless as of now, Ellis still felt a surge of happiness. It was clear to him that these were the fruits of his hard work today.

While also finally feeling confident that the amount of Blank Points he had was sufficient to raise his Constitution.

Ellis decided to raise his Constitution immediately. If he was alone, he didn't care that much. But now, he no longer had the luxury of being careless. With his sister and mother with him and the added complexity of their situation, he needed to be cautious. The military, once he thought of as ally due to his father's influence, now posed a risk, and he can't trust them anymore. Then their suspicious behavior around the supposed goblin dungeon made him wary of them even more.

Seeing the new window that appeared, Ellis was surprised by the amount required but having kind of anticipated it wouldn't be cheap given his current strength. So after a moment of contemplation, he went ahead and confirmed.

The moment he confirmed the upgrade, a surge of some kind of energy from deep within him enveloped his entire body, bathing him in a warm, invigorating feeling.

It didn't come with any side effects like pain or discomfort, but Ellis couldn't help but groan from the satisfaction and the addictive pleasure as his body strengthened.

After some time, when the energy feeding his body and the changes had ended, Ellis felt a renewed sense of vitality and strength. He also realized that the increase in his strength was significantly greater than he had thought.

If he had this strength in the Hobgoblin, Ellis doubted he would have needed nine hours or two healing chances. He would have breezed through it without even requiring any healing. 

After savoring the afterglow of his enhanced strength, Ellis decided to try raising his constitution further, curious to see how many points it would require this time.
