Marigold flaunted a timid smile towards Mrs. Chanda since she could not say any compliments to her grandson.

"It's rare for students to get an award. It's also good to be the most behaved and best in attendance child." 

Marigold didn't know if it was soothing but she was still happy with what Lola Chanda said.

"All right, tell me more about you, my future granddaughter-in-law," Mrs. Chanda added.

"I'm a graduate of the Information Technology course but I'm not that expert when it comes to computer-related matters. I don't really like the IT course," Marigold revealed timidly.

"Ah. But at least you graduated and went to college."

"Thank you."

"Have you ever had a boyfriend aside from your ex who dumped you?"

Marigold swallowed his own saliva. To be honest, she had no boyfriend other than Jack. 

"Just another one. He was the one with me at the fast food restaurant," she replied.
