The beginning...

My name is Niko, and as you might have guessed, I am an average-looking high school boy who is about to enter the last year of his high school career. However, this year is not going to be ordinary for me as it is the year I met the girl I want to spend the rest of my life with.

It all started on August 2nd when I was walking down the school corridor and saw her. She had medium length short hair that she slowly tucked behind her ear when it fell on her face. She was wearing a red frock, and her hazel eyes looked gorgeous. I fell in love with them instantly, and my heart started racing. I was getting goosebumps, and I couldn't control my breath.

My juniors told me her name was Roro, and I couldn't stop thinking about her. From that day, I started looking for ways to talk to her and get to know her better.

It took me two days to summon all my courage and write a love letter to Roro. To conceal my identity, I instructed a junior to deliver the letter, claiming one of the seniors had given it to her. In spite of what I thought, she was able to give Roro the letter while she was leaving.

That evening, Roro read the letter at home. The next day, Roro and her friend Sanya asked the junior who had given her the letter. Roro even told her that she was impressed with the letter. I was so excited that I asked my junior to give her my Instagram because I thought I had found a girlfriend. Only a pseudonym remained on my Instagram account after I removed all my personal information.

That evening, I returned to the hostel. Since it was a high school, phones were not allowed, but we had smuggled them into the dorms and used them secretly. Roro replied to my text. Our conversation lasted for quite

a while. During one of our conversations, Roro asked me who I was. I said I couldn't tell her yet, but she could guess. It is a mystery to me how she managed to guess my name correctly. Since I had no reason to deny her guess, I introduced myself.

After a while, she asked me why I love her. It was hard for me to respond, but I thought she might think I was playing for fun. I came up with a fake and trashy reason, saying I'd never met anyone like her before. Nevertheless, I think she figured out that my reason was a lie. I didn't think much about it, and I told her that there's no need to give me a reply to my love letter. Then I told her I would simply propose again. She should think about it. After that, we ended our conversation.

I started writing a letter again after two days of deep thought. However, I was stuck at the beginning and didn't know how to begin. I considered several options, such as 'Hi, I'm Niko. I assume you already know me' or 'Hi, as you know me', but none of them seemed quite right. I spent the whole day figuring out what to write, but in the end, I just wrote what I felt. Rather than worrying about the letter's appearance or quality, I wrote everything I wanted to say.

Originally, I had planned to hand her the letter the following day, but as time went on, I lost confidence in my ability to do so. As I still hadn't given her the letter by the end of the day, I asked the same junior to pass it on to Roro

After reaching home Roro opened the letter and started reading it...
