Chapter 107 - Here Comes The Pain

After the meeting, Ren, Tsunade, and Jiraiya went to Sasuke and Itachi's home to talk about their plan for the upcoming attack.

Once there Ren sees that everyone is here, Sasuke, Sakura, Itachi, Naruto, Peri, Taro and Jiro, Yakumo, Karin, Jugo, and Kabuto with an unknown person hidden by a cloak next to him.

Walking inside Ren took a seat together with Tsunade and Jiraiya then he spoke "Now that we are all here it is time to talk about our plan for the Akatsuki invasion..." then Tsunade explained Konoha's plan of using only the elite to deal with Nagato while the others protect the civilians.

Then Ren said, "Now what we will do is different, when Nagato and Konan attack we will each take care of one of them, as soon as one of Nagato's bodies is taken down you have to take out one of the black stakes implanted in their bodies and give it to Naruto, who will use his Sage Mode to track Nagato's real body and talk to him together with Jiraiya..."

Then Sasuke said "Only talk not kill him?" and before Ren could reply Naruto said "I will make him remember his true objective bel..." but before he could continue Ren chopped on his head and yelled "Now is not the time for that... Moving on... each of you will have a different objective..."

Then he talked about who will fight who and how to recognize them from their power, then Ren turn to Tsunade and says "Can you give your ninja a signal to tell us where each one is? This way they only have to identify them, tell us, then they can retreat" and Tsunade "No problem... by the way who is he?" she then asked while pointing at the person hidden by the cloak.

Ren smiled and replied "He is the last member of the Baransa, and do not worry he is trustworthy" but then Sakura asked "Ren what will you do?" and Ren replies "I'll prepare for the worst, and for that I need time... hope I do not have to use it..." then everyone went back home or to work, to prepare for the imminent attack, and a certain aura of unrest and tension could be felt from all around the village for the next few days until the end of the week came.

Near the outskirt of Konoha, seven figures could be seen moving surrounded by Konoha's shinobi corpse, one was a woman with short, straight blue hair with a bun, amber eyes with lavender eye shadow, and a black labret piercing, her facial expression is neutral, and she wears the Akatsuki cloak, she is Konan.

While the other six are all different but all have something in common, all have orange hair, the Rinnegan and bore six piercings, a metal bar through each ear, three studs through the side of its upper nose, and one spike stud on each end of the bottom lip, three piercings on each wrist, at least one on its upper wrist and some just under his neck.

These are Nagato's Pein Rikudō (Six Path of Pain), leading them is the Deva Path whose true identity is that of the corpse of Yahiko, he looks at the wall surrounding Konoha and says "Now we are gonna split into two groups, one will be a diversion and another will do reconnaissance, let's make sure we got it sorted... the diversion will be done by Animal, Asura and Preta path... the reconnaissance will be done by Deva, Human and Naraka Path".

Then he turns to Konan and says "You too will be on reconnaissance group" and she replied with "I know" after that he looks once again at the walls of Konoha and says "There is a spherical barrier protecting Konoha all around, including from above" and Konan "Any intruder will be sensed immemorially".

Deva Path then adds "As planned we're going to launch Animal Path above the village, that way they'll miscalculate our numbers and it will throw them off, then we'll wait for Animal Path's summon" and Konan comments "Itachi and Kisame apparently got in without problem..." and Deva Path replies "But Itachi was with Konoha's ANBU he knew how to get through the barrier without setting it off".

Then the Asura Path took hold on the Animal Path, while the Deva Path says "I have my own way of doing things" and Asura Path powerfully throw Animal Path hing in the air over Konoha's wall.

And soon Animal Path is inside Konoha and is about to land, meanwhile, in the Barrier division a guy in some kind of priest clothes looking over the rippling barrier says "We have an intruder, the location is the west gate sector I-B, just like Hokage-sama said... Akatsuki is here... Send the signal and start the evacuation of the civilians!".

As soon as Animal Path landed, the sounds of alarms were heard all over the village, and soon all the Chunin and Genin stopped their work and started leading the civilian towards the refugee, and Animal Path not caring about the alarms and the movement quickly summon the others, and Deva Path then says "Scatter!" and all of them move in a different direction.

The first to act as a distraction was Asura Path who removed his right arm and from it shoot six missles all in a random direction, who soon hit their targets causing some big explosion, while Animal Path summoned a giant centipede with a black stake on his body to attack everyone in sight, and Petra Path was attacking ninja at random to kill and absorb their Chakra and send it back to Nagato.

At the same time Human Path in one of the alleyways was pulling out the soul from a random civilian and reading his memory "This one doesn't know anything about the Kyubi's Jinchuriki... just about the recent new evacuation procedure... strange it is almost like they were expecting my attack..."

In another location, Konan quietly killed some Chunin with her Paper Shuriken, then hide their bodies with her paper making them look like the background, and took the semblance of one of the guys she killed and moved on looking for Naruto.

While Deva Path was taking advantage of the chaos to move unhindered, and Naraka Path in another alleyway took hold on another random Chunin and summoned the King of Hell, a large head which sprouts out of the ground surrounded by purple flames and asks "Where is the Kyubi's Jinchuriki?" and soon the King of Hell unzip its mouth to release tendril-like arms and draw out an apparition of the Chunin's life force energy in the form of an enlarged tongue.

But the Chunin doesn't answer and took out a flare signal and release high in the air, releasing a purple flare high in the sky, Naraka Path looks at the flare with a stoic expression.

Then Naraka Path looks at the chunin and ask, "What is that?" but before he could receive an answer a volley of shuriken were targetting him from different directions, so he is forced to let go of the Chunin, who fell on the ground exhausted, and jump back to evade the shuriken, then he heard a voice that said, "It is just a signal for telling us where our target is... after all we were expecting you... Nagato".

Naraka Path look where the voice is coming from then he says "You are alive... but not for long as it seems that you betrayed us... Itachi!".
