Chapter Text

Nemuri sat there staring at her phone as its screen went dark. She had just gotten a call from Aizawa. They were coming back early because they had been attacked, and many of the students had been hurt to various degrees, but none of that mattered. Everything felt numb, and there was a ringing in Nemuri's head as she processed that her son, who she adopted and loved more than anything, was currently missing and in the hands of the villains. The worst part of all of this was that she couldn't go try to save him. Nemuri knew she was emotionally compromised and, as such unable to assist in the rescue efforts.

Nemuri looked over as her door unlocked, and for the briefest of moments, a foolish and stubborn hope swelled in her heart that Izuku was about to stumble in. pain and guilt stabbed into her chest as Hirooki rushed in. "Nemuri."

Nemuri's eyes teared up, and she couldn't stop them from overflowing as she reached out and clung to her partner. Hirooki stroked her head gently as Nemuri sobbed and broke down. Hirooki smiled and spoke gently. "I'm right here. I'll stay by your side until they save him, and they will save him. Let's put our faith in our fellow heroes."

Nemuri wrapped her arms around Hirooki and shook as tears streamed down her cheeks and sobs racked her body.

Class A, minus Kyoka and Pony, who were still out cold from the poison gas, were gathered in Momo's room. The class rep had gotten hit on the head while fleeing the nomu and had woken up the next day. As the class stood around, Eijiro said. "We should be out there looking for Midoriya. He's been nothing but helpful to all of us and... I can't just sit here and hope they find him."

Tenya bristled. "You can't be serious. We are only students; we cannot break the law and fight-"

"I'm not talking about fighting the villains, just finding them and seeing if we can get Midoriya out of there or not. I don't wanna fight; I know we can't. I just want to do something to help." Eijiro said as he clenched his fist and trembled.

The class stood in silence as everyone mulled it over. Several pairs of eyes wandered over to Mina and Toru, who were sitting by Momo's bedside. The two girls hadn't said much ever since they left the summer camp and returned to UA. Even on the trip to visit those in the hospital, neither girl said much. They simply held each other and followed the others.

Before anyone could speak up, the doctor entered, and the class filed out so she could check up on Momo. As they were leaving, Eijiro approached Mina and Toru. "Hey... I know this is tough for you two, but I can't just sit around like I did at the summer camp. I'm gonna come later tonight with Todoroki and talk to Yaomomo about the tracking device she made."

Toru looked at Mina, and the two seemed to share a thought before the invisible girl said. "We'll think about it... just be safe if you end up going through with this."

Eijiro smiled. "That's the plan. Whatever you two decide, I'll respect it."

The two girls interlocked their fingers as the redhead ran off. Neither party knew about Tenya eavesdropping on their conversation.

Momo thanked the doctor as they left. Once they were gone, she felt her chest tighten, and her breathing started to go ragged. She had woken up, and one of the first things her classmates had told her was about who was injured and how Izuku had gone missing.

Izuku, the class's vice rep and someone who anyone in class A would consider indispensable, was captured by villains and missing. Momo's breaths came in quicker as she clutched at her chest. He was always there for anyone who needed it. He had helped get Minoru in line and turned the short boy into a decent person. Izuku had helped Momo not only with the class rep duties but also with her costume and heroics in general.

Momo wasn't aware of the nurses that rushed in as her heart monitor went wild. Izuku was gone and in the hands of the League of Villians. Images of him after the USJ flashed in her mind, and Momo gasped suddenly as a hand grabbed her shoulder.

Momo's eyes shot up to meet the doctor. "Ms.Yaoyorozu, please breathe."

Momo took a shaky breath and felt her heart rate start to even out with her breathing. "I-I-I'm sorry. I don't... I don't know what happened."

The doctor smiled softly. "You appear to have had a panic attack. Perhaps the news about your classmates affected you more than you realized."

Momo took a shaky breath. "I-I suppose so. I'm sorry for any trouble I've caused."

the doctor chuckled as they stood. "Ms.Yaoyorozu, it's literally my job to take care of people. you're no trouble at all."

Magne knocked softly before opening the door to the backroom. Himiko had occupied it for the past day and seemed intent on not leaving. Magne was the only one the blonde would let in, so she was here delivering some food and checking up on Himiko.

"Come on up and at em Toga. You need to eat. How's your head feeling?"

Himiko groaned as she sat up and took the tray. "A little better since I can't see him."

Magne hummed as she sat down. "So you know the green-haired guy? Ex-Boyfriend?"

Himiko shook her head and rubbed her eyes. "I-I can't remember, but it hurts to look at him. How long is he gonna be here?"

Magne shrugged. "Don't know. The boss is trying to convince him to join us. If that doesn't work, we'll probably send him to the guy on tv."

Himiko groaned as she chewed on some rice and tried to ignore the splitting pain in her head. "I don't want him here... I don't want him hurt either. I wanna go home."

Magne sighed. "You always wanna go home. You got something good waiting for you? Maybe a partner?"

"I-I don't know... nothing makes sense. My head feels scrambled. I want blood. I wanna cut someone up and be them, and I wanna love it."

Magne scooted over a bit as she watched the craze look in Himiko's eye. "W-well, once the brat is gone, I'm sure Shigiraki will let you go cut up some people."

Himiko grunted and continued to eat as Magne kept her company.

Mina squeezed Toru's hand as they walked to the hospital. "Are you sure about this, Toru? It's dangerous and against the law. If we mess up, then things can get really bad for more than just us."

Toru nodded and squeezed Mina's hand. "He's our partner, and if Himiko is really involved, we need to confirm it and find out why she's working with villains. Her disappearance and then coming back now and with villains of all things doesn't make sense."

"Yeah... alright. Let's go meet up with Kirishima."

The two girls arrived at the front entrance of the hospital, where they found Eijiro and Shoto. The two boys nodded to them, and Eijiro said. "Now, all we need is Yaoyorozu."

Within a few minutes, Momo appeared with her hair still down and bandages wrapped around her head. "Hello everyone... you want a device so you can find where the tracker is. I'd like to make sure I understand that you don't plan to fight; you only want to find them and see if you can get Midoriya out without conflict."

Eijiro nodded. "Yeah, that's the plan."

Before Momo could speak, Tenya spoke up from behind the group. "Hold on, all of you!"

Tenya walked up, looking angry. "You cannot be serious about this. We are hero students, and UA is already in a tight spot. If you do this and mess up in any way-"

"Iida," Toru said as she turned to face him. "Nothing you say is gonna stop us. We know the risk and the dangers, but we're going no matter what."

Tenya grit his teeth and took a shaky breath as he said. "Fine... but I'm coming with. If I see you're about to go too far, then I'm pulling you out."

The group turned as Momo's hand glowed. "I'll come along as well to help Iida make sure you don't take things too far."

Mina smiled as she took the tracking device. "Thank you, both."

Izuku groaned loudly as Tomura tried to talk to him again. "Can I get some water? My throat is dry, and I used my quirk a bunch yesterday, so my skin feels super dry. Does anyone have any lotion?"

Tomura looked ready to strangle Izuku, who was swallowing his fear. So far, they had tried to recruit him, and Izuku did his best to sound interested but reluctant to the idea. It wouldn't do him any good to straight up say no, then get killed or worse shipped off to All for One.

The leader of the League of Villains huffed and sat at the bar. "I hate you, and no, we don't have lotion, and you can't have water, at least not until you join us."

Izuku sighed. "I told you, man... It's tempting, but I got a lot going on, and there are my girlfriends to think about. If you let me go, I could talk to them about it and get you a definite answer."

Tomura ignored Izuku and started talking to Spiner. As they all sat around, Izuku spotted Magne walking out of the backroom, and worry stirred in his gut. Himiko had been suffering in some way since he ran into her during the attack. Izuku tried to not let this worry show, but apparently, he didn't do a very good job because Magne approached him and asked. "How do you know our little, stab happy girl?"

Izuku looked around and said, "I don't know what you're talking about-"

"She said she has conflicting memories about you. She can't tell if they're real or not."

Izuku couldn't stop the worry from showing on his face as he said quietly. "We're friends... I haven't seen her in a long time. How did she end up here?"

Magne hummed. "Who knows. She was already a part of the League when I joined."

Izuku bit the inside of his cheek and looked at the door to the backroom. Magne shook her head and went to sit at the bar. As the villains talked, Izuku thought about what could have happened to Himiko to get her here. He also thought about mad Toru and Mina were gonna be once he got out of here. He'd have to do a lot to make it up to them.

Izuku hummed as his mind wandered, and eventually, he couldn't help himself. He really wanted to talk about something that was on his mind since he was strapped to this chair. "Hey, magician guy. What's your name?"

Mr.Compress looked over. "Mr.Compress, young man. It's a pleasure to meet you."

Izuku smiled. "Yeah, same, so anyway, what's your quirk? After you grabbed my shoulder in the woods, it felt like I blinked for a long time, then opened my eyes to see I was in this bar."

Mr.Compress chuckled. "I'm sure you'd love to know all about our quirks. While I won't tell you everything, I will tell you that my quirk is perfect for capturing targets whether they're people or things."

Izuku nodded. "I see. I know Shigiraki's power already... How about the patchwork guy? What's your name?"

Dabi scowled as he looked at Izuku. "Fuck off."

Izuku swallowed down his spike of fear at Dabis's murderous intent. He decided that talking to him was more trouble than it was worth. He decided to keep quiet as well and let the villains go back to what they were doing. Hopefully, someone would say too much about something.

He wasn't sure how much time passed of Izuku just listening to the idly chatter of the villains, but it all stopped as the tv suddenly turned on and a voice that sent chills down Izuku's spine spoke. "Tomura. How goes your discussion with the young man you captured?"

"Slow going, master. He seems reluctant, but if I can capture the other two I wanted, then I'm sure I could make them understand why their best option is to join us, and if not, I can just kill them."

The voice laughed, but Izuku didn't hear any real joy. "I'm sure you can. Though as we discussed, I would like a moment to speak with the invisible girl should you capture her."

Izuku scowled, and despite every part of him screaming to keep quiet, he spoke up. "You're not going to get a chance All for One. You'll be going to jail just like all the other villains here."

The TV was silent for a moment, and Izuku felt dread creeping into his bones as he thought about how he may have messed up. Before All for One could speak, someone knocked at the door and said. "Pizza delivery."

Toru hopped off Mina's shoulders. "The building is full of nomu in tanks, but I don't see anyone else. We should see if there's a way in-."

The invisible girl's words faltered to a stop as she saw Mt. Lady's leg lift up and slam down the front of the warehouse. The students braced themselves as the ground shook and dust flew. Once things were settled, Eijiro looked over at the heroes who had appeared in front of the warehouse and said. "I guess the heroes were already moving to take care of everything."

"Good, then we should leave," Tenya said.

Before the students could move, they heard shouting, and suddenly the ground shook as the front of the warehouse exploded and chunks of the wall they were hiding behind cracked and broke away.

They glanced through the new holes, and Toru tensed as she saw him. Clad in a black suit with a strange dark mask over his head. The man floated towards Best Jeanist as he talked about the hero's quirk, and Toru knew who it was immediately. She grabbed Mina's hand and felt her girlfriend was shaking as well as the fear of death clawed at their bodies. All for One was right in front of them, and his mere presence was keeping the students from moving.

Things got worse as several gray blobs appeared in the air and grew until exploding and revealing the League of Villains and Izuku. Mina and Toru's eyes scanned the area, and they felt some relief that Himiko wasn't there, but it was far outweighed by the fear of their boyfriend being so close to All for One.

Izuku shook off his shock, jumped back, and pulled his shirt off as gas started to swirl around him, making Mr.Compress back off. He realized that All for One was in front of him and that he could probably kill Izuku easily, but Izuku didn't plan to go down without a fight.

All for One didn't seem to care about him, though. He simply stared off into the distance as the League tried to surround Izuku. As Izuku dodged and avoided attacks while pulling on his quirk and keeping the villains back. All for One laughed suddenly, and his voice boomed as All Might came flying in and started trading blows with his arch-nemesis.

As he did his best to keep the villains from grabbing him, Izuku desperately searched for an escape route. He needed to get out of the way so All Might could go all out, but he was outnumbered, and none of these villains were slouches like the USJ ones.

Meanwhile, Toru and the others were desperately formulating a plan to get Izuku to safety. Momo wracked her brain before an idea came to her. "I've got a plan."

Izuku grunted as he sent out a wave of gas and fell back. Dabi easily blasted it away with his blue flames, but before his comrades could pursue, the nearby wall shattered, and a massive glacier appeared separating Izuku and the League of Villains.

Izuku stumbled back and looked over to the source to see Tenya sprinting at him as Toru and Mina kept watch for the League. Mina's arms were covered in thick acid, and Toru's hands were glowing with energy, ready to blast anyone who tried to come at them. Izuku dispelled his gas and let Tenya grab him and pull him back to the others. "What the hell are you doing here, Iida?!"

Tenya shook his head as he got back to the wall, and his engines sputtered. "I came to make sure these people didn't do anything reckless."

Izuku looked over at his partners and the others. "Guys-"

Izuku was cut off as Toru and Mina hugged him, and he felt his ribs strain under their grip. Momo looked over worriedly as Mr.Compress made a hole in the glacier. "We need to run now."

The others agreed and sprinted down the alleyway as they headed towards the remaining police and heroes.

Himiko kept her breathing shallow as she waited for the police to pass by. She had been in the backroom when the heroes busted into the bar, and she saw as everyone else was teleported from the bar. She was the only one left behind, and she barely managed to slip away while the nomu kept everyone busy.

Her head was splitting, and she was desperate for blood. How long had it been since she cut someone and drank their blood? Himiko stumbled down the alleyway and panted as she fumbled for her phone. She needed to find Psion... no Izuku and the others.

Himiko dropped her phone as she clutched her head and bit back a scream. Everything hurt, and nothing made sense anymore; she couldn't tell what was real and what was fake. "Himiko."

The blonde girl's head snapped up, and she saw Psion. Himiko stumbled forward as Psion approached. "Come now, Himiko let's-"

Psion choked, and a hand shot up to her throat as she felt the cut splitting her throat. Himiko stumbled back as she started giggling and staring at the blood on her knife with a hazy look in her eye. "So pretty. So warm and tasty."

Psion choked and gagged as blood poured from her neck and into her throat as she fell to her knees. What had happened? She had felt her hold over Himiko straining, but she thought she'd be able to reaffirm it once she spoke to the young women again.

Himiko giggled and licked the blood off her knife slowly before grabbing Psion's bloody throat as she said. "You're so pretty. I wanna be like you. I wanna be pretty like you. you'll let me be you, right?"

Psion would have gasped if not for the blood filling her lungs as Himiko repeatedly drove her knife into the woman's chest while giggling madly and licking at the blood. Everything was making sense again. This was the only real thing in Himiko's life; all the other things in her mind, all those memories and thoughts and feelings had to be fake because none of it felt as good as what she was doing right now.

gonna be honest the lack of comments on the previous chapter kinda made me worry that it was not well received. I can't be sure though because no one said anything. I do encourage actual feedback and whatnot so I can learn and hopefully grow as a writer. other than that I hope you enjoyed this chapter.
