My Siren(BL)

What happens when myth meets reality? On the night of his father's grand Hotel opening, Aiden had gone out to the sea with his friends to escape the noisy crowd in the hotel that disturbed his peace. Out on the sea and out of boredom, he had decided to try out something he had never done all his life: fishing. In the middle of the night... along the offshore zone of the sea, the fishing net was casted into the sea. When something tugged at the net, his friends quickly pulled it up and into the boat before it could escape back into the ocean With a sense of achievement, they looked at the net to see what they had caught and to their suprise... ----- Aiden walked up to kai who laid motionless on the cold floor after being pulled out of his tank by his tail. His wet golden coloured hair sprawled and stuck to his pale white skin as the water droplets trickled down to the ground. Aided squatted in front of him and gently pushed back the loose strands of wet hair that shielded his face. Holding onto kai's chin, he tilted his head up so he could look back at him. Upon seeing the hateful gaze of the young merman directed at him, a sly grin appeared on his face "Let me go." Kai said through gritted teeth causing Aidens smile to broaden. Caressing his cheeks softly, he leaned closer to the dripping man and whispered softly into his ears in a deep dulcet voice "No-" [Readers discretion is strongly advised]

A girl with her blond hair packed in a high ponytail and a dishevelled look just got back from the lecturers office with her books in hand. She was heading to her locker when she caught sight of Kai in the hallway with two others... she recognised them. They were the owners of the new casino that just opened. Her roommate was a worker there, so she always frequented the place and got a thing or two from the big shots there.

What were they doing with Kai? Her eyes widened slightly when she figured out what the possibility could be,

"I'm sorry to interrupt. I know everyone is pent upright now, so how about we have this conversation over some drinks?" She heard Aiden suggest. He looked beaten up, seemed like the topic of the conversation was something serious and confidential. Anyway, it was none of her business. She gingerly went to her destination. When she was done, she headed to the restroom to wash her face and free herself when she met with Maddie and her group of girls. Maddie leaned on the sink with her arms supporting her upper body as she glared at her reflection in the mirror as if she would break it the next minute.

"I've never seen Aiden behave like that before."

"Yeah, is he really risking his reputation for a girl?"

'A GIRL?' Maddie clenched her fist. Having a guy's name was one thing, but she had never actually thought of her to be a guy.

From the moment Aiden had said Kai's pronouns earlier, Maddie couldn't get it out of her head. She couldn't believe it at first but when she saw him go into the men's room, she was sure. She couldn't believe Aiden had been drooling over a guy... she was sure he didn't swing that way, F*ck, they even slept together! So why was he treating her this way for another guy?

Since the embarrassing incident in the cafeteria the other day, Maddie's been keeping a low profile while her goons carried out her work for her. She wasn't bothered about breaking them up anymore. All she wanted was to see the boy suffer.

She blamed the boy for everything happening to her. Everything was going fine with her until he came along.

What was so special about him anyway? What did he have that she didn't?

"Actually, I don't know why you're still doing this, I just think you should let them be Maddie..." An emo girl from their group said from the corner, and everyone shot her a sharp glare, including Maddie, but the girl seemed unfazed.

"All the chances you had with him went down the drain when she came along, so just give it up already." The girl continued not the slightest bit worried about the stares, "what would you gain by going through all of this shit for someone who doesn't even like you? Aren't you tired of embarrassing yourself in the name of hatred or revenge? Have some dignity – "

SLAP!

Maddie smacked her across the face, and the restroom fell silent. Her face was churned up from anger as she stared at the curly haired girl who had her face to the side,

"First of all, I'm not doing this for Aiden, so please don't give me lectures about keeping my dignity. Second... Try to have some before sharing with others... okay? At least I'm not wagging my tail for an aged professor."

The girl gritted her teeth and pushed Maddie aside. "B***ch." She muttered as she stormed out.

'Now even peasants were looking down on her.' Maddie took a deep breath, trying to calm her anger. Yeah... she was doing this for the fun of it... the satisfactory feeling she'd get when she sees that prideful and indifferent pretty face all bruised up and pleading for mercy. It would be such a sight to behold, and now that she thought about it, she craved to see it.

If she wanted something like this done easily, she knew just the right person to call. Fueled by her rage, she took out her phone and sent a message to a certain person. Before clicking send, she pondered on something first before turning to ask,

"Anyone know where kai is?"

"He went drinking with the owners of that new casino on X Street so I'm sure that's where they went." The blond girl who had walked earlier spoke, and all eyes turned to her.

"I'm heading there right now, wanna come?" She let out a small smirk, and Maddie rose her brow... wasn't she part of Aidens' friends list? Everyone knew Maddie had a thing or two against Kai, so why was she disclosing their information?

"What do you want, Rachel?" She asked, and the blonde girl shrugged.

"Just a grudge, nothing special." She smiled

PRESENT

"...You ever tried alcohol?" The bartender asked with a sly smirk.

"No... I don't know much about drinking." Kai fidgeted with his fingers, and the white-haired boy chuckled,

"Well then, how about we start off with straight liquor? Let's see how much you can handle." Kai shrugged. He supported his chin on his hand and waited for him to bring his drink. The bartender slid out a shot glass and twirled the bottle in his hand, obviously trying to show off his skills before he poured it into the tiny glass,

"Bottoms up."

....

The white-haired boy was sitted on the other side of the counter, staring down at kai. His bright green eyes threatened to bore holes into the boys face. Right now, there was no smile on his lips, which made the whole air around him change... if Kai knew better, he'd know this guy was total danger,

"Well, I guess you're a light weight seeing you got that drunk from just four shot glasses."

Kai had his head down on the countertop since he felt like the whole world was swirling around him. A hiccup escaped his lips and he giggled with a bright dimpled smile.

"How do you people drink this stuff? It burnnnnsssss!" He slurred

"If it burns, why did you keep drinking it?"

"Because it makes me feel happy! Does it have some kind of happy pill inside?" The bartender chuckled and suddenly ruffled the drooling boys hair,

"You're really cute." He said with a small smile. Kai lazily rose his head and stared back at the green eyes with a stunned expression, and his face flushed tomato red,

"Aiden always says I'm cute and vance won't let me stay with him..." he muttered inaudibly with a pout before his head slammed back on the counter, the white haired was startled and only let out a small laugh when he heard the merman groan in pain before letting out a snore... how was he even able to fall asleep after hitting his head so hard?

He raked his fingers through the boys blonde hair and slowly traced his flushed earlobe... the skin was smooth to touch... almost slippery

"She looks wasted." The other bartender commented with a sly smile but the other just ignored him. Seeing the reaction, the other let out an exasperated sigh,

"I'm gonna take a break." He said and walked away.

The bartender continued staring down at Kai with narrowed eyes.

He then took out his phone and dialed the person that last called him an hour ago, the phone rang and after a few seconds, the person on the other line picked up

"Hello?"

"I've got the boy, what should I do with him?"

"I don't know, anything... just beat him up or something then dump him in the ocean when you're done."

Was she implying that they kill him? Wasn't that going too far for people in college? The white haired guy was silent for a while before he finally spoke up,

"What did this kid even do to you? I really feel l-"

"Hey," the other interrupted, "...you going soft me? Don't pull that bullshit and do what the f*ck I paid you for."

The call was disconnected from the other end, he sighed and glanced down at the caller ID on the screen which read 'R'.

He then stepped out from behind the counter and pulled kai up by his arm. Kai staggered and was about to fall down but the white haired boy caught him. Seeing that he couldn't even assist the boy to walk, he decided to piggyback him... he was surprisingly light.

With everyone being busy with whatever they were doing and the security lax in their posts, the white haired bartender was able to slip past them without being noticed. The lights were dimmed so this added to his stealthness.

It was already so dark but it wasn't even eight pm yet, the sky had turned to a deep shade of blue grey and the street lights were already turned on.

When the night shift bodyguards by the door asked where he was taking the boy, He told them he was a friend of his and was just looking out for him.

A parking spot next to a red fire hydrant was taken by a black wagon but that wasn't where the bartender was headed, infront of the wagon, secluded from the prying street light was a small biker group. The guys had on black ripped jeans and shorts and customised leather jackets. Beside each person was their motorbike which had a flaming roaring lions side profile drawn on the engines and exhaust system.

"I thought we were dealing with a guy here." One of the bikers who had a cigarette in his mouth said when the white-haired boy approached them with the sleeping merman on his back,

"He is a guy."

"The hell? You're kidding me right." Another with curly orange hair said and hopped down from his bike striding forward to get a closer look of the boy. He poked kai on his cheeks with a scowl on his face,

"What is this, some kind of joke? I thought we were dealing with some big shots when they told us to come here not some fem boy."

"What does she want me to do with him?" The one who spoke first asked himself with an unpleasant look on his face,

"She said y'all can do whatever you want with him and when you're done, dump him in the ocean." The white haired boy replied and intentionally handed Kai over to the orange haired who still stood beside him analysing the mermans face, even though the orange haired was against it, he still took the sleeping boy,

"Some crazy b*tches, huh,"

The white haired shrugged, "Well then, I'll see you guys later,"

He couldn't deal with something like this. He was done with his part anyway. He was sure that the boy hadn't done anything to the two girls.

"Hey aren't you coming?" The orange haired yelled and the white haired just them off without replying,

He was told to switch with the actual bartender to lure the boy in and that was all he was going to do... he was just making their moneys worth.

"What are we really gonna do with this?" When the orange haired spoke again, he then heard a small gurgling sound from the merman leaning on his side and rose a brow, was he waking up?

Before he realised it, the merman vomited on the leather jacket and black boot he wore,

"Ugh! The fuck! This idiot just puked all over me!"

By now Kai had woken up and his head hurt terribly, he felt a little bit better after puking but the dizziness was still not manageable. As soon as the person who had been supporting him by the arm let him go, he fell to the ground... why were his legs so weak? It felt like he was learning to walk all over again,

"Why'd you let him go like that?" The voice that spoke startled Kai and he quickly flung his eyes open... he didn't recognise that voice so he was alarmed.

Even though he felt like bricks were being dropped on his head, kai still forced himself to stand on his feet using one of the near by motorbikes as support,

"Who are you?" He asked the one with a cigarette in his mouth and the other merely smirked seeing the merman's raged expression,

"I'm just here to do my job." Kai felt a sudden hard punch to the back of his head and the next thing he knew, he passed out.
