I'm Just An Employee After All

Throughout that day, what Min Ah said kept repeating in Xiao Li's head.

"Is Min Ah right, an I actually just like an employee?"

These questions and more kept running through her mind the whole night.

The next day, Du Lixin called Xiao Li and also texted her the location of one of his other companies since it was weekend.

Getting to the company entrance, she met Du Lixin waiting for her.

"Awwn he actually waited here for me, si sweet." She thought with a smile but frowned when she again remembered what Min Ah said.

"You are here, let's go in together." Du Lixin said and held her waist then led her in.

After getting to the floor where Du Lixin's office was, they passed some employees who began whispering at each other when they saw both of them.

"Look at her, she's such a slut, trying to seduce the boss." One said.

"Yeah I'm sure she's an employee from one of the other companies, just look at what she's wearing." Another said.

"Miss Min Ah is a lot prettier than she is, she's so small, gosh little girls of nowadays are something else."

"She's probably a gold digger." Another said in disgust.

Du Lixin could hear what they were saying but he actually expected Xiao Li to confront them so he did nothing but to his disappointment, till they got to the office Xiao Li said no word to them.

"Didn't you hear what they were saying about you?" Du Lixin asked immediately they entered.

"I heard so what?" Xiao Li replied with a question.

"I said nothing to them because I expected you to confront them but you did nothing, why?"

"I'm in no place to reply them, I'm an employee after all."

Du Lixin walked to his desk and pulled his shirt, he paused when he heard Xiao Li say that.

"What do you mean by you are just an employee, you are my wife for God's sake." Du Lixin was already getting annoyed.
