Harley has always been one who has been by herself. With no sense to interacting with others she finds comfort in her personal space. When she's left with no choice but to get a roommate who would share her apartments, what happens when a silly misunderstanding on the rent-an-appart app gets her mistaken for a guy and her supposed Roommate Grey Wilson for a girl. Not only is she infuriated by this mistake, she learns that Grey Wilson is more than he lets out on, the son of the city's famous billionaire.
Grey paced around her room waiting for her to step in. He was beyond pissed with her arrangements and had to confront her about it.
"You know...." her voice died down when she saw Grey in her room and her face became straight.
"Grey, you should stop coming to my apartment unannounced. I get that we're close but coming to my place without any form of invitation is you trespassing." Skylar said.
"What did you tell her?" he asked glaring at her. Skylar walked past him, placing her bag and scarf on her desk.
"The truth." She answered taking off her shoes, followed by her jewelry.
"You told her that I was out fighting." He said. Skylar turned to him, her full brow raised.
"Were you not?" she asked before sighing. "You came to my apartment last week beaten and bruised, was I supposed to lie to her?"
"I didn't start anything up," he muttered. "Those guys asked for it." he seemed through his teeth.
"Why? you should've ignored them." she said and his face hardened.
"They were talking trash about him." He argued.
Skylar sighed rubbing her forehead, she knew it was going to be hard trying to get him to see what he had done.
"You should've still ignored them." She answered.
"Typical Skylar," he muttered. "I shouldn't have even bothered coming to you." He said putting on his shoes as he got ready to leave.
"By the way, she's coming around to see us and I'm sure you don't want her to know that you've not rented an apartment like you're supposed to," she stated and Grey stopped midway his back to his sister.
"Whatever," he muttered walking out of the room and slamming it shut. He stood in front of the door with his eyes closed cursing under his breath at his situation. He heard the annoyed voicing of a girl trying to unlock her door whilst battling with her keys.
"Red?" The familiar redhead halted, too afraid to turn around and face him.
Harley cursed when she heard Grey's voice, her hands were bitterly and her keys had fallen to the ground. She managed to turn around to face him, her face straight and her lips in a thin line.
"So that's your apartment," he stated eyeing the door.
Her eyes studied his face for a while, he was less preppy than his usual self.
"Sorry if I startled you. I should probably go," he said walking away towards the stairs. Harley stood in shock by his behavior but shrugged it off soon enough and opened her door.
She managed to change out of her school clothes into something more comfortable and warm. Heading to bed for a quick nap since she was tired she fell into a deep sleep.
The resounding knock on the door got her attention, waking her up from sleep.
Looking up in confusion, she waited and listened if it was actually her door that was being hit.
The sound came again and this time she shuffled out of bed rubbing her eyes as she trudged to the door.
Whether she wasn't bothered or deep in sleep, Harley doesn't check through the eyes hole to see who it was instead she opened the door which revealed Grey crouched in front of her door.
"Grey..." she yawned and the next thing she knew he collapsed right into her body taking her down with him.
Harley who was half asleep was now fully awake, she winced at the contact to the floor and the human body draped on hers.
"The hell?" she cursed looking down on Grey who was somewhat unconscious.
After some heavy body lifting, she managed to drag Grey's body to the free space in the middle of the room. Starting down at his figure she wondered what exactly to do with him. Taking off his hoodie, she examined his bruised face and swollen lips.
The conversation from the other night popped in her head again. He must be involved in a fight. She hissed at how careless he was being and squatted to get closer to his face.
His pink lips were busted and chapped, his hair brushed over his eyes and his eyelash fanned his cheek. If he wasn't the annoying guy she knew him to be she would've agreed he was handsome.
"Done checking me out." he whispered and she shrieked jumping away from him. Her face was red with embarrassment as she stared at anything but his eyes.
"You are awake," she said managing to face him.
"Ugh...." he winced trying to get up. He fails and lies back down on the floor.
"You should get me some blanket you know, I'm a wounded victim." he puffed out.
"More like an egotistical jerk." She fired back.
"Why did you even come here?" she asked.
Grey closed his eyes shut as he tried to keep himself from falling back into a concussion.
"An ice pack would also help." he said with closed eyes.
"I'm not going anywhere until you tell me what you're doing here," she said firmly.
"Fine, I assumed it was Sky's room." he said through tight teeth.
"So you assumed I was your ex-girlfriend?" she asked crossing her arms across her chest and he chuckled.
"Sky, my ex-girlfriend?" he chuckled painfully. "Don't make me laugh, but seriously if you need more answers from me and want me to not pass out in the middle of your apartment you should get me an ice pack." he wheezed out.
Harley thought deep before agreeing to get him the ice lack, she walked into the kitchen and opened her fridge, taking the ice bag. She walked back inside the room and tossed it at him which made him wince. For a moment, she almost felt bad that the ice bag hit him but his unpleasant eye roll made her change her mind.
"I'm listening." she said hovering over him waiting for more explanation on who Skylar is.
"Skylar is my sister okay." he mumbled. "My annoying piece of an older sister." he added.
