While Wu Su Yi was perfect in all ways to others’ eyes, in fact there was a hidden layer beneath her than no one knew. When Han XI Guang came to her life, he was akin to a storm. A man with a good occupation— or was he also hiding his true, dangerous self? A match of a Queen and her loyal King who hid his true self from everyone but her. Extract— “I don’t need a husband,” Wu Su Yi repeated once again, her black eyes looked back at Han XiGuang’s darker eyes without showing a single fear, making him smile. She was the only person who could do this to him. “I can treat you like my Queen. All you wish would be my command and my wish is only for you to take care of my son.” She raised her eyebrows, unconvinced, “Whatever I would request to you, you will make it happen?” Han XiGuang took her hand and placed a kiss on her knuckles gently, “All your wish is my command. Who you ask me to defeat, what kind of victory I should have, and who I should kill. I would do it all for you, my lovely Queen and all I need is you to be beside me”

Smart Lovely Boy

Little Rui hopped into the backseat of the car. His feet became quicker to push him inside the car when the housekeeper followed him from behind. Han XiGuang who had just left the entrance raised his eyebrows at how quick the little guy entered his car.

"Are you that excited to meet him, Rui?" Han XiGuang made his way to take Rui from his car.

"The young master had been waiting excitedly since last night," the housekeeper, Miss Ye responded.

"Is that so?" Han XiGuang looked at Rui and rubbed his finger on the boy's chubby cheeks. "As someone who understand your feeling, I can't help but agree."

Rui giggled loudly as he was being carried to the sky before he stared at Han XiGuang's face with a deep thought, "Different suit?"

"New one," Han XiGuang added. "My very perceptive little guy, can you not spill this secret between us?"

"That you are trying to look good?" Rui questioned, his smile mischievous.

"I have always looked good, little guy. This is just a little extra. You will have to work this out with me if you want to help me," Han XiGuang pulled up a wrapped candy from his pocket, causing a wide grin to appear on Rui's lips but before he could take the candy, Han XiGuang pulled his hand back. "Will you spill any of my secret to her, or will you not?"

"I will not!" Rui promised eagerly, receiving his candy once Han XiGuang sees the little man promised to keep his words.

"Miss Ye, can I ask you to take care of the flowers again?" Han XiGuang then requested while Rui stared at him in silent. The little boy's eyes were a little sunken but he managed to hid it from his perceptive father.

"Oh, it is that time of the year, of course, master," answered the woman, bowing politely in response.

"Now let's go. Do your best at your performance, you got to impress her, don't you?" Han XiGuang watched his little son nodding his head with eagerness before bravely showing his proudest stance. Chuckling, Han XiGuang goes back to the car.

Miss Ye, the housekeeper who had been working in the house since Rui's birth silently hold her hands together. Her expression darkens as she entered the house that was now free from its master.

Wu SuYi continued to stare at her clothes as she entered her car. It was her first time to attend a parent meeting. It goes without saying she felt awkward and don't know if the dress she wore today was good enough to look polite. Although she wasn't related to Rui, Wu SuYi wished the best for the little boy, not wanting him to be upset for the day.

As she once again fixed the collar of her dress, a light knock resounded next to her. Noticing the tall figure, Wu SuYi cleared her throat and tested her voice before opening the window.

"You came early," Han XiGuang's voice felt good to hear in the morning, thought her to herself.

Wu SuYi waved her hand at Rui, who excitedly tried to jump inside the car if not only for his father's hand blocking his way.

He stared at his father grudgefuly but couldn't do anything other than stare at him.

"I wanted to make sure no traffic would make me late. First impression is important, if I am late, it would reflect to Rui," Wu SuYi explained carefully, eliciting a warm wide smile from Han XiGuang.

"Thank you, for keeping such considerate thought for Rui," although Wu SuYi had accepted the request without the wishing to be thanked, it did felt good to receive the sincere words from Han XiGuang. Slowly, she learned that he was far different from all those assumption she made. He was one of the most polite man she had seen.

HongRan and JingYi could learn a lot from him, thought Wu SuYi to herself.

Han XiGuang then stepped away for Wu SuYi to exit her car. Wu SuYi smiled seeing Rui who had put the large candy to his mouth, causing his cheeks to inflate.

"How are you, Rui?" Wu SuYi questioned brightly, increasing her cheerfulness on her tone to have Rui's smile widen sweetly.

"Great!" Rui then held his hands together silently, "Aunty Wu…"

"Yes?" Wu SuYi looked up to Han XiGuang with a questioning gaze, questioning Rui's little adorable action.

Han XiGuang shrugged his shoulder in response but deep down he could tell what his sneaky son was trying to do.

"Can you carry me?" Rui questioned innocently, blinking his large pair of eyes and pursing his lips to make his lovely pink cheeks puffed.

Han XiGuang raised his hand before she could agree, "There's no need SuYi, I can carry him just fine, right?"

"No!" Rui refused immediately. Running toward Wu SuYi, she hugged her leg tightly before tilting his head, "Please?"

Wu SuYi chuckled and quickly picked up Rui to her arms, "Of course."

"You didn't walk and yet you now feel tired? Don't you feel bad for SuYi's poor arms," Han XiGuang looked at his son sideway.

"No, it's fine really," Wu SuYi chuckled, "I may be on a thinner side but I often work out, Rui is also on the light side, so this is barely anything."

Rui hugged Wu SuYi's shoulders delightfully and grinned when he met his father's eyes, feeling as if he had won. Han XiGuang shrugged off his shoulders. His son may be taking the hug for now, but in the end, he would be the one to have Wu SuYi's heart.

As they entered the school, Wu SuYi looked all around the building, noticing it was a private international school that was known to be expensive to many people.

One of the school's speciality was…

Wu SuYi's eyes fell to Han XiGuang who was humming throughout the hallways even though they had passed the classes for grade one students.

"XiGuang, what is Rui's grade?" She questioned.

Han XiGuang looked and tilted his head innocently, "Did I not tell you? Rui is finally grade five now."

Yes! Now Wu SuYi recalled. The private international school Rui enrolled is was special for gifted students that encourage skipping classes if the student was academically advance.

Wu SuYi's eyes glittered when she looked at Rui, "Really?! Rui! You're so smart!"

Rui put his hands together, shyly his cheeks turning redder from the praise, "I worked hard," he responded softly.

Rui's reaction caused a wave of wholesomeness to cover Wu SuYi's heart. She could only wish she could squeeze the little adorable creature on her arms. Not only was Rui this cute, he was also smart and polite.

"This is more than working hard! You got what it takes! Such a sweet good boy," Wu SuYi praise and rubbed his head at the same time.

Usually Han XiGuang noticed how his son wouldn't like people praising him as if he feared the disappointment the other person would have if in the future he couldn't make the same result. It was the first time for Rui to truly be proud of his achievement.

Han XiGuang who had watched this from beside her, smiled. He noticed this happiness from his son, which he could rarely see due to the boy's silent loneliness in his heart to be heartwarming. Along with the lovely smile coming from Wu SuYi, the current situation where there were the three of them together, felt the most perfect.

It wouldn't be too far off to call themselves a puncture of a perfect family together, does it? Han XiGuang grinned at the thought, silently keeping his own desire on a box to unravel it slowly.

Wu SuYi who couldn't stop praising Rui, noticed a faint whisper from near her and turned her eyes to see the two women who had been whispering in a not so subtle voice. When they met her gaze, the women quickly flee.

She didn't want to think the whispers were directed to her but she realized sooner that the whisper didn't come from the two women earlier but much more mothers who had attended the parents meeting.

What was wrong? She narrowed her eyes, wrapping her arms around Rui for protection.
