All done I looked at Anne; we nodded in some telepathic mutual agreement way before walked stealthily towards Luke. We reached him and I put a hand on his shoulder. He looked up at me, his gaze unstable and his eyes clouded with confusion.
“We need to go, buddy,” I said as softly as I could manage,
He looked like he was trying to grasp what I was saying because I Anne whispered in my ear,
“Why are you speaking softly?
I whispered shouted back at her,
“I don't know. Why are you speaking softly?”
She looked confused for a moment;
“I don't know probably because you started it?”
I breathed out,
“Let's just focus on the important things.” She hummed in agreement.
We turned our attention to the still kneeling- drunk man in front of us.
“Luke, it's time for us to go home.” Anne said this time her voice more even softer than mine. I stood beside her gesturing wildly at the door.
