Chapter 31- Addie – Hiatus While Training (VOLUME 2)

**ADDIE'S POV**

I had thought that I would be going back to continue my training with Nolan. I thought that now that he knew that I could shift on command, he would want to move onto something else. Well, that didn't happen at all. And this was for two reasons.

The first reason that we needed to take a break was that I needed to get some new clothes made as soon as possible. Vanya had been contacted at some point and was sent to see me the next morning while I was eating my breakfast. She was always a punctual person.

And the second reason was that I needed to rest my body. I hadn't known that when you were getting used to shifting, especially just the one part at a time, it could lead to an immense amount of pain. At the moment, I was struggling not to show the amount of throbbing pain I was in as I sat there in the dining room. I think that, for the most part, I was able to hide it pretty well.
