Chapter 189- Addie – Preparing for the Banquet (VOLUME 2)

**ADDIE'S POV**

I knew that Lord Calvin wanted to have a celebration for me. It was because I had 'saved' their village, but I didn't see it that way. I hadn't intended to save the entire village. I had only been concerned about Violet. Yes, I had put up the barrier and done what I could to make sure that the village wasn't destroyed while I was killing the beast, but that was just because I hadn't wanted to cause them more pain and suffering.

It just felt wrong to me to be celebrating for something that I didn't feel like I had done. Though, I understand that they believe I was their savior. They were now free of the monster's wrath, and that meant that they were about to live in peace once more. I understood it all, truly I did, but I just didn't believe it all that much.
