Chapter 14- Nolan – Addie’s Power Level Part 2 (VOLUME 2)

**NOLAN'S POV**

I felt like everything that I knew was imploding inside of my head. Hunter wasn't an abusive asshole that was trying to kill Addie. She wasn't supposed to be afraid of him now. He was supposed to be trusted to protect her when the last time that he was supposed to guard her he nearly killed her. All of these things made no sense to me. What the hell was Callum thinking when he did this?

"Callum?" I meant to find out what was going through his head. "This isn't a good idea."

"You need to get to know the man yourself, Nolan. He isn't the same man that you once knew. He isn't the same person that he was. And he asked for this assignment."

"All the more reason to be skeptical. He could be putting on an act. He could be trying to get closer to her. This is not a good idea, Callum." I was trying to change the way that things were going right now, but I didn't seem to be having a lot of luck with it.
