Jack sat in the cold interrogation room, his hands clenched tightly in his lap. The policewoman sat in silence, her sharp eyes fixed on him. She didn't say a word, just watched him, as if she were waiting for him to crack under her gaze.
What does she want from me? Jack thought, shifting uncomfortably in his seat. His heart was racing, but he tried his best to appear calm.
Suddenly, there was a knock at the door. Jack's pulse quickened as Captain Tin entered the room. The man's presence was overwhelming, and Jack felt his nerves spike instantly.
"Captain Tin," the policewoman acknowledged him but didn't stand.
Captain Tin walked into the room with purpose, his gaze flicking from the policewoman to Jack. He crossed his arms, clearly not here for pleasantries. "I've been assigned this case," he announced, his voice cold and demanding. "My team will take it from here. Let's go, Jack."
