Morning
Jack woke up to the soft sound of birds chirping outside his window, the gentle light of early morning spilling into the room through the thin curtains. He blinked a few times, rubbing the sleep from his eyes, before stretching his arms and swinging his legs out of bed. The air felt cool and refreshing, and for a moment, Jack simply stood there, savoring the calm of the morning.
As he got ready to head to the kitchen, something unusual caught his attention. The smell of breakfast, something warm and inviting, lingered in the air. Confused, Jack furrowed his brow and moved toward the kitchen.
There, seated at the table, were Lena and Samantha, both already awake and smiling.
